"This was our first time staying at the Read House and we were thoroughly impressed!! From the valet attending to us immediately upon arrival and explaining the process to checking in and being offered an upgrade which we agreed to, this hotel simply checked all the boxes for us! After checking in we spent some time at the bar having a few drinks where Ameilia (our bartender) was amazing!! She shared her knowledge of Chattanooga with us which was greatly appreciated! We went to dinner in town following up with drinks at another local bar, then ending up back at the Read House bar to end the night thanking Amelia and the other bar tenders for their graciousness. We only stayed one night due to our hectic work schedules, but we will be back!! The accommodations were top notch. The only disappointment was that on the website when we booked it said the pool would reopen on March 7th which was the day we were checking in and upon arrival we were made aware that this amenity would not be available to us. This was one of the top reasons we chose this venue due to wanting to unwind and relax."

"Booked two rooms and stayed for one night with the family. The inn is located near the interstate and overlooked the mountain. Breakfast was very simple—pancakes, coffee, cereals. The pancake was very good. The rooms were clean in general but had a scent of an old room. Staff was friendly and checked in / out was fast. Breakfast could be better but overall it was good."

"This hotel was in a wonderful location. We were in walking distance to lots of good eateries, the aquarium and the river walk. The front staff that we encountered were always kind to us and helpful. We booked a double room and it was nothing spectacular about it. Clean but not spotless. It was comfortable enough to enjoy a weekend getaway as a family. I did notice there was some sort of pink stain in the tub and some shed hair…I just cleaned it out before we used it. The WiFi was good, so we were able to do homework and check emails. All in all, not a bad place to stay! The pool area was nice for the kiddos!"

"Upon check-in there was no front lobby desk, only a bullet proof window with an under slot. the rom was dark and smelly as all the rooms are smoking. the ac unit almost froze us out. there was a homeless man sleeping on the ground of the first floor. the area had many drug users and homeless people constantly across the front of the property and sleeping and staying beside the chain link fence of the property. very hard to get in and out because of being located right at an intersection. no breakfast or coffee area as this area was closed off. the pictures on the site are Not a representation of this motel. I was shocked to know this is a choice property. would Not recommend this place to anyone..."
