Samui Island
MM67***48Koh Samui is famous for its mountains and sea, so there are many outdoor activities. Generally speaking, it is marine activities, which are basically common in tropical islands in Southeast Asia. But there is nothing special about it.
Most of the high-end hotels are villas, so some people think it is higher-end than Phuket, but I think it may not be as diverse as Phuket.
The construction of the entire city is still relatively backward, and there has been no major improvement from the airport to the transportation and buildings on the island.
The local Thai food is first-class and worth the money.
However, December may not be a good season. It is the rainy season, and the sea is rough. Boat trips cannot be carried out, and marine activities cannot be carried out. You can only go sightseeing and go to the elephant sanctuary.

Choengmon Beach
超超级cttChoeng Mon Beach is a wonderful place with beautiful calm waters and clean white sand. There are many restaurants and massage parlours on the beach. Enjoyed a beer under a shade tree on the beach. Nice to stop here for a day visit. We visited this beach while staying at a nearby resort. Our main purpose for visiting this beach was to find a massage parlours with reasonable prices. There are many massage parlours with a nice array of beach bars and snack bars. We chose a typical Thai massage for 300THB per person. The massage techniques were standard for the whole beach. The beach resort was very quiet and we had to find a taxi to take us home. We were able to bargain a little. The beach was clean and offered water sports and massages as well as a bar. Worth a visit.
