Hotele w: Edinburgh Old Town, Edynburg

Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Edinburgh! It is an excellent choice for a group of 4. The location is unbeatable, situated right in the heart of the Royal Mile and within walking distance of all the main attractions. Our room was clean and fully equipped with all the necessary amenities, making our stay incredibly comfortable. 

Mixed experience – not quite 4-star quality for the price I recently stayed at the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel and, unfortunately, had to request a room change upon arrival. The first room didn’t feel like what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel, especially at nearly £200 per night. It was very basic—no carpet, no robe, and no slippers. The room felt empty, more like a budget option than a premium stay. We were moved to another room, which did have a carpet, but it was essentially the same situation—still no slippers or robe etc. That said, there were a few positives: the location is great, the breakfast was really nice, and the pool itself was a good facility. Overall, I might stay here again, but only if the price reflects the actual experience. At this rate, I expected a bit more attention to detail and comfort.

Fantastic location being so close to the Castle, old and new town. Rooms are beautifully designed, clean and cosy. It’s so handy having a kitchen in the room to self cater when needed. We’ve loved visiting Edinburgh and will definitely book to stay here again.

Super recommend!!! It was truly clean, modern, comfortable, convenient and everything was there that you will need. It was really amazing place to stay. I wish I could stay longer if I don’t have any plan after this. Bath amenities were also provided, kitchen had everything, washing and drying machines was good. Stayed at St Christopher’s Hostel, Edinburgh for a night and it was a good budget choice. The location is excellent, right in the city centre and close to the Old Town and main attractions. Check-in was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The dorm was basic but comfortable enough for a short stay. It can get a bit noisy, so earplugs help. Bathrooms and common areas were generally clean considering how busy it is. Overall, it’s a social, well-located hostel—great for meeting people and exploring the city, but not ideal if you want total quiet. Perfect for a short stay in Edinburgh.

Hotel położony jest w samym sercu Edynburga, u stóp Zamku Edynburskiego. Uniwersytet Edynburski, deptak, Most Jerzego, Victoria Street, popularne sklepy i zamek znajdują się zaledwie 10 minut spacerem od hotelu. Hotel oferuje również wspaniały basen, jacuzzi i saunę. Sala śniadaniowa i kawiarnia są dość duże jak na Edynburg. Personel jest wspaniały, uprzejmy i miły. Obsługa sprzątająca jest doskonała, proaktywnie pytając na korytarzu, czy potrzebujesz wody lub posprzątania pokoju. Pamiętaj tylko, że musisz wpłacić niewielki depozyt w recepcji, aby aktywować numer pokoju podczas rezerwacji; to bardzo wygodne. Za hotelem znajduje się również Sainsbury's, co sprawia, że ​​zakupy są niezwykle wygodne.

1. Location, Location, Location • It’s hard to beat this hotel for central Edinburgh. Right on North Bridge, you’re a stone’s throw from Waverley Station, the Royal Mile, shops, restaurants, and many of the city’s major sights.  • Great for walking everywhere; you don’t need transport for many of the main attractions.  2. Room Size & Basics • Many guests say the rooms are more spacious than you might expect in a city‑centre hotel.  • Clean, with decent bathrooms, functional furniture, and most have good views (though that depends on the side you’re on).  3. Quality of Bed & Sleep Amenities • Beds often get praise for being comfortable (though not universally). TVs, desks, kettles etc. are standard and work well.  4. Restaurant / Lounge / Public Areas • Decent lounge with a good drinks menu, good public areas, attractive décor in common spaces.  • The steakhouse (Marco Pierre White) is a draw for many visitors. 

It’s very near royal mile but to get to the hotel with luggage from Edinburgh Waverley station, it can be quite tiring! For a no stairs & few cobble stones route, walk up cockburn street (it’s an uphill slope!), then walk down Blair street, followed by cowgate street. It’s the least painful walk! 😂 We really loved our room. Only issue was that the water drainage was very slow. Nearby food recommendations: Jimmy’s Express (Chinese food).

Great location near the bus to take the express bus to the airport. Room is clean and modern. Enough space to have 2 big luggage on the floor. Bed is comfortable. Only this is there is a small stairs up to the reception area and it's hard to move the luggage up if your luggage is heavy like mine. Overall a very comfortable stay!

Pros: Great location, within easy walking distance to most Edinburgh attractions, such as Edinburgh castle, royal mile, princess street, Beverly station, grass market and so on. Friendly staff, relatively new building and facilities. Cons: the room cannot be ventilated as the window is fixed. My room was very smelly, smells like dogs.
