"The room facilities were poor and outdated, like a three-star hotel in China. The surroundings were awful, with a disco next door that was open from 2 p.m. to 4 a.m. The hotel's front desk and room service were poor and perfunctory. On my first night, I was woken by the loud disco at 3 a.m. The next day, I asked to check out and change hotels, but they refused. They promised me a better, quieter room and that if I ever had to leave again, I could check out at my convenience. The room became even smaller, worse, and noisier. Someone was making a loud noise in the hallway at midnight, and the disco outside the hotel grew louder. I called the front desk to have someone come and take care of it, but they told me it wasn't their business and told me to deal with it myself. I asked to check out early in the morning, but they still refused. Finally, I alerted the manager and they offered to move me to a room more in line with domestic four-star standards. They sent a fruit basket as an apology, but it turned out to be rotten fruit. After Ctrip intervened, the hotel naturally ignored my request. It's a shame I can't upload the video, otherwise it would give you a better idea of how bad this hotel is."

The resort feels very quiet in terms of overnight guests, though the pool area is popular with daytime visitors. The private beach is a real highlight—beautifully maintained and far better than the one at the nearby Four Seasons."
