Hotele w: Harbin Railway West Station/ Wanda Plaza, Harbin

I need to take the high speed train early morning hence chosen Xueli Hotel as it is near to harbin west train station and it’s above a shopping mall and opposite is the Wanda mall. Family room is big and some free snacks are provided for. Only downside is the room assigned with slight sewage smell.

the hotel was great value for the price and has a few excellent points. Location is easy to get to the airport and ok for the winter attractions. Rooms are nice, though are showing their age. The facilities (gym/pool) we decided to avoid; they don't offer the resort or relaxation of other five star hotels. Food was consistently good and the club lounge is easily one of the best decors I've found. The service was consistently good from checkin especially. I would stay here again if Im in Harbin, but I would stress that I have allergies to try and get a real smoke-free room (our bathroom....)

Everything was good right until the last night… we put in our clothes in the machine to dry coz it was still wet . (They have only one machine). We set a timer for 2 hours and we came down 5 mins earlier. Their staff took out our clothes and put in other clothes saying the customer is in a rush. Our clothes were still sloppy wet which means the machine barely ran for 10 mins before they took out our clothes. It was our last night and we need to pack our luggage. We waited another 10 mins and put in our clothes to dry again after communicating with the staff. We timed 2 hours again. The best part was 2 hours later at 1am, the machine was still running with 2 hours left and the 5 bags of dirty laundry that I saw 2 hours ago is now 3 bags. I had to get the staff to help me manually stop the machine coz it cannot be unlocked if the time is not up. My clothes were still wet, same as per 2 hours ago. I was too tired and speechless with their behaviour to continue this nonsense. I had to wake up 3 hours earlier just to blow dry my clothes so that I can pack them into my luggage. Very bad experience!

We really liked the hotel. It is located on the 17th and 18th floors of a high-rise building. The windows offer a magnificent view of the city and Harbin West Railway Station. The location is very good, the metro station and bus stops and three huge shopping centers are close to the hotel. The decoration of the room is very pleasant. Gorgeous comfortable beds and great bedding. The bathroom is beautiful and comfortable. Sofas with a window lounge table add home comfort. The breakfasts are delicious, diverse, and hearty. Polite and helpful staff. If we go to Harbin, we'll stay at this hotel again.

I initially got the floors mixed up, but then I figured it out. This is a great hotel. Large rooms, with both a bathtub and a shower. It's the first hotel where a razor was already in the room—I didn't have to ask for one at the reception. The metro station isn't far, and taxis always arrive very quickly. It's a really excellent location, with many 24-hour grocery stores nearby. I was also pleased that you can smoke in the room. Of course, I'm not a fan of smoking where I sleep, but it's cold outside, and constantly getting dressed and going downstairs is very inconvenient. So, big thanks to the hotel. Minor downsides: the bathrobes are very small (and I'm not tall myself), and all the movies on the projector are paid, with no English language options. But these are small things; overall, the hotel is excellent and spacious.

My friend and I had the pleasure of staying at Grand Mercure hotel in Harbin, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we entered, I was struck by the spotlessly clean surroundings and the comfortable feeling that enveloped us. The high ceiling added a touch of grandeur to the ambiance, making it feel a luxury 5-star accommodation, all at a budget-friendly price. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the comfortable bed and fresh linens. I had the best sleep and woke up feeling refreshed, as if I had slept like a baby. The attention to detail in ensuring a comfortable sleep experience was truly commendable. The hotel staff deserves special mention for their exceptional service. Despite some language barriers, they went above and beyond to assist me with anything I needed and provide accurate information. I vividly remember ALAN CHEN or Chan, although I'm unsure of the exact spelling of his name. He was always attentive to our concerns and questions, taking the time to communicate and ensure we received the correct directions. Their dedication and willingness to assist made a lasting impression on me. In terms of location, the hotel was conveniently located near a bus stop, making it easily accessible from the airport which is around 45mins or less. The ride took less than 10 minutes to reach the high-speed railway station from the hotel. However, I must mention that there weren't many convenient shops in the immediate vicinity, which might be a minor inconvenience for some travelers. Our only issue during our stay was the room temperature, which was quite warm. Despite adjusting the thermostat, we couldn't achieve a comfortable coolness. We resorted to opening the window slightly to let in some fresh air, but leaving it open throughout the night posed the risk of catching a cold. It would be highly beneficial if the hotel could consider providing a humidifier, as the air in the room felt excessively dry. Overall, my stay at this hotel was truly amazing. The cleanliness of the hotel, the exceptional staff, and the convenient location all contributed to a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Harbin and would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit. The management may want to look into improving the room temperature control and addressing the dryness in the air to ensure an even more pleasant stay for future guests.

As Muslim travellers, we appreciate that the breakfast offered several vegetarian options including steam corn, sweet potatos and pumpkins, vegetables, boiled eggs and fresh fruits. During check in the staff were very kind and helpful, making the effort to translate to ensure clear and smooth communication. Overall, it was an excellent stay!

Would be nice if there are laundry facilities like some of the other hotels in the same building. Close to Harbin West train station. Staff were very friendly, room is clean - the toilet flush is not strong but still worked fine. Nearer to the airport and avoids the city jam, good for a worry free quick transit to the airport. Central city jams can get really bad.
