We had a 2-week family vacation in Italy, travelled to Rome, Florence, Naples and Palermo. Our stay at Olivuzza 27 in Palermo is by far the BEST! The room is spacious, well-appointed, clean. And, it has a kitchenette, so that we could cook dinner with the fresh ingredients bought from the supermarket nearby. The apartment is just a stone’s throw away from the town centre, we could go to different places just on foot. And it is located in a quiet and safe area. We didn’t have to worry even we walked back to the apartment after a night out. Our heartfelt thanks to the owner Salvo for his hospitality, who proactively offered us help in many ways. Salvo is friendly and caring. He speaks very good English too. He gave us very good recommendations for restaurants, attractions, useful apps. He helped us with laundry service after we were totally soaked in the pouring rain in one of the days. Each of the small touch have made us feel very welcomed. We had a very memorable trip in Palermo. If you happen to travel to Palermo, Olivuzza 27 is the PERFECT choice, trust me.

Pracownicy są bardzo entuzjastyczni i chętnie udzielą szczegółowych informacji. Mieszkaliśmy w pokoju 6-osobowym. Łóżka wyglądały na bardzo wygodne, a pokój był dobrze posprzątany. Drzwi prowadzą bezpośrednio na taras, gdzie wszyscy mogą się komunikować i odpoczywać. Obok recepcji znajduje się bar, w którym panuje bardzo ożywiona atmosfera. Lokalizacja jest naprawdę bardzo dobra, bo miasto nie jest duże, można z niego wygodnie dojść pieszo do różnych miejsc, jest też bardzo bezpiecznie, a do tego znajduje się tuż przy porcie.

We had a fantastic stay at this quirky little boutique hotel in Palermo, Sicily. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Even though we showed up earlier than planned, they had no problem letting us in and went out of their way to accommodate us. We were offered a massive breakfast completely free of charge while we waited, which was such a generous touch. Not only that, but we were also invited to relax by the pool until our rooms were ready — a perfect way to unwind after traveling. The atmosphere of the place is relaxed and a bit offbeat in the best possible way — full of personality and charm. It’s rare to find a place where the customer service feels this genuine. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a warm, welcoming, and slightly unconventional stay in Palermo!

THIS WAS THE BEST CHOICE I DID IN SICILY. First, this is the cleanest place I saw in my trip. They ask you every morning if you want a cleaning when they bring you breakfast. The bathroom/shower room is modern and same as the picture. The body soap, shampoo, conditioner was a Sicily one that was very nice of them. The public space was so good, they had balcony so it would be great to take pictures for instagram. Secondly, the breakfast. Insanely great. You can choose 2 things from about 15 types of dishes such as sandwiches or yogurt or fruits. For drink you can pick 1 from about 15 types such as cappuccino or hot chocolate. They have milk choices like oat milk and almond milk that is amazing in this price. For spread, you can choose 2 from about 10 types such as honey or Nutella or almond butter or many flavors of jam. For a dessert, you can choose a cake from 2 or 3 types they have that day. You can choose where you want to eat room or public space. Thirdly, the staffs were a lot more kind and friendly then the average of sicily. Nice place absolutely recommend!!

W ostatniej chwili podjęliśmy decyzję o spędzeniu dwóch nocy w Palermo i wybraliśmy hotel sieci Mercure, który miał dobrą lokalizację i rozsądną cenę. Lokalizacja była rzeczywiście doskonała; wszystkie główne atrakcje miasta znajdowały się w zasięgu spaceru. Sam hotel nie posiada parkingu, ale oferuje płatny parking z obsługą, a parking w okolicy, w obrębie niebieskich linii, jest bezpłatny. Na szczęście znaleźliśmy bezpłatne miejsce parkingowe zaraz po przyjeździe. Hotel to w zasadzie budżetowa opcja w ramach międzynarodowej sieci. Zarezerwowaliśmy standardowy pokój, ale zostaliśmy przeniesieni o jeden poziom wyżej. Pokój był dość duży, ale czystość była przeciętna — jedna z najgorszych, jakich doświadczyliśmy podczas naszej podróży do Włoch (ogólnie rzecz biorąc, wysokiej jakości pensjonaty lub hotele butikowe są lepsze niż tego typu tanie hotele sieciowe). Hotel oferował wszystkie podstawowe udogodnienia, których potrzebowaliśmy, a śniadanie w formie bufetu oferowało większy wybór. Obsługa była dość profesjonalna; zameldowanie/wymeldowanie i pomoc były szybkie. Moją jedyną uwagą był brak jednorazowych kapci. Zadzwoniłem do recepcji, żeby poprosić o butelki i obiecano mi je dostarczyć, ale nie otrzymałem ich do wymeldowania 😂. Jako wieloletni klient Accor, mogę tylko powiedzieć, że to było prawdziwe rozczarowanie. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, było w porządku, a cena była dobra.

Not a hotel, more like a Bnb with limited service October 2025 We booked Mia Terra expecting a hotel — but it turned out to be more of a one-man bed and breakfast. From the start, nothing went smoothly. We had decided to take up the host’s offer of an airport shuttle (not cheap), as one of us only had one evening in Palermo and every minute counted. The shuttle arrived 15 minutes late, and when we finally reached the property, no one was there to check us in, causing yet another delay — even though the host had personally arranged our transport and knew our arrival time. The host then offered excuses that didn’t line up with the shuttle driver’s story (which btw, the driver didn’t even know our destination — we had to guide him — and only accepted cash, which we weren’t told in advance.) Check-in was confusing and disorganized. Despite several text messages from the host to confirm our room setup (which should have been clear from the booking), he had still assigned the wrong rooms and once again found excuses, incorrectly blaming the booking platform. When we asked him to fix it, he was reluctant but eventually agreed — behaving as if he were doing us a favor — though he did offer free breakfast as compensation, which we didn’t need. Since there is no staff at the property. The host promised to respond to messages “within minutes,” yet replies often took hours. The whole experience felt like a single person trying to run a hotel alone — and it shows. To be fair, the rooms were clean and comfortable, although in one of them, the shower faced the bedroom through a glass wall, so you had to shower in the dark for privacy. Overall, the service and professionalism fell far short of hotel standards. If you’re expecting the reliability of an actual hotel, look elsewhere.

Pokój jest trochę mały, ale czysty i higieniczny. Śniadanie jest w porządku, a lunch i kolację można zjeść w Shadian. Otoczenie jest przeciętne.

Location surrounding is crap. I went by navigator with a suitcase from central railway station about 15 min because the roads are not for suitcases, cracked pavement everywhere. It’s better to take a car or tram 1 for 2 stops from railway. It’s really apartment in a crap residential building. 3rd floor (like 4tth) without a lift with narrow stairs with no lighting in the evening. You don’t see where insert 3 keys in locks (3doors to enter). My room faced the noisy busy road. There 2 rooms inside, looks nice, no microwave, but clean. Area looks dangerous in the evening. Owner lady is nice and helpful. She tries to do her best!

Z łazienki wyciekała woda, gdyby następnego dnia przyszli ją posprzątać, ale w tej, do której poszedłeś pierwszy raz, ledwo mogłeś nadepnąć na podłogę w łazience, a śniadanie było codziennie takie samo, nie było zbytniej różnorodności, co do reszty, komfort i cena do jakości były całkiem dobre, a także lokalizacja z dworcem autobusowym obok.
