„We are Malaysian & can speak mandarin. Don’t worry if you’re non-chinese speaker, they will try their best to communicate with you.
Sonzhuju Coffee & Tea Holiday Villa is convenient for those who bring big luggage. They have a service to help carry your luggage too, from the main road (approx 170m). And please let them know once you arrived at the main road! The hotel is away from loud noise & busy from the main area. Cosy place & strategic for us staying in 3D2N. The room was clean. Breakfast included, but for Muslims, please mention that you’re Muslim, then they will prepare you veggie options. And you can choose to have your meal in your room or their eating area.
Ai Fei, a local host from the hotel, was very helpful in arranging our customised tour trip. We texted the hotel via WeChat 8–9 days prior to our arrival in Lijiang. We asked if there was any local there who could advise us on the trip and straightaway they made a group for discussion. He'd make sure that we were all okay & happy to discuss our plan to visit any area that we would like to go to. He arranged our private car trip to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley and brought the ticket for us too. Upon we'd arrived at the hotel, he served us a welcome tea, fruit and flower cake. From the next morning we are going to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley. He advised us on what the do’s and don't prior to our trip. The private driver that he helped arrange for us was also very helpful & patient to ensure that we felt safe going to the place (group chat). He also helped to arrange a private car for us to Shangri-la. Overall, he made our plan and trip smoothly.
As for the Muslims, you can ask him or the hotel host to recommend where the nearest Muslim restaurant they will definitely find for you.
Overall, definitely recommend staying here. We are happy with our stay here.”

Serdecznie zaprosił nas na herbatę. Pokój był bardzo wygodny. Znajdował się niedaleko Lwiej Skały i na stosunkowo dużej wysokości. Platforma widokowa była niedaleko.”

„Większość hoteli, w których nocowałem podczas podróży po Chinach, była dobra, ale ten był moim ulubionym.
Lokalizacja — tuż przy starożytnym mieście, skąd łatwo dojechać gdziekolwiek indziej. Z autobusu lotniskowego jest około 12 minut spacerem. I może 15 minut od wejścia do starożytnego miasta. Roztacza się z niego widok na otwarte niebo, a z dachu wyraźnie widać górę Jade Dragon Snow.
Pokoje — są czyste, wyposażone w automatyczne oświetlenie i zasłony. Za darmo podnieśli standard mojego pokoju, który był dość przestronny i spełniał wszystkie moje potrzeby. Chociaż nie ma lodówki do przechowywania rzeczy, więc warto o tym pamiętać. W pokoju jest też AI.
Posiłki/herbata — na 5. piętrze serwowane są wszystkie posiłki i herbata z widokiem na góry. Śniadanie było takie samo, a jeśli pochodzisz z krajów zachodnich, nie spodziewaj się zachodniego śniadania. Makaron i smażone dodatki były pyszne — uwielbiam dobre, słone śniadania. Nie mogłam spróbować popołudniowej herbaty (która jest przepyszna) aż do ostatniego dnia, więc pozwolono mi wrócić po wymeldowaniu, zanim wzięłam taksówkę na lotnisko. Wieczorna herbata to herbata z masłem, ale jej nie piłam, ponieważ próbowałam jej wcześniej gdzie indziej i nie byłam jej wielką fanką.
Personel — wszyscy są bardzo mili i pomocni, zawsze witają gości. Miałam pewne problemy z SI w pokoju i szybko mi je naprawili. We had a wonderful 2-night stay here. The hotel is located inside Lijiang Ancient Town, which made the experience even more special.
The owner kindly picked us up along with our big luggage. It was such a fun ride—we honestly enjoyed it so much haha. During check-in, we were welcomed with an orange, which was a very sweet and thoughtful gesture.
The owner was extremely helpful throughout our stay. He assisted us with renting traditional costumes and arranging a photography session around Lijiang Ancient Town, which made our trip even more memorable.
After we came back from Yulong Snow Mountain, the owner also gave us very thoughtful advice. He reminded us not to shower immediately and to take some time to relax first, explaining that showering right away could cause altitude sickness or even a cold due to the sudden temperature change. We really appreciated this care and concern for our well-being.
What we felt most grateful for was the kindness shown to us regarding our laundry. When we asked if there was a washing machine, they said yes, and we managed to start the first wash cycle before heading out. When we returned at night, all our clothes had already been washed and were ready for us to hang. We were shy and happy at the same time 😆 because otherwise, we would have had to stay up late just to settle our laundry.
Overall, this stay felt very warm and personal—almost like being taken care of by family. Truly a memorable experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lijiang Ancient Town.”

What impressed us most was the amazing team behind the hotel. From the front desk, to the activity organisers, to the restaurant staff, everyone was warm, friendly, helpful, and attentive. We felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. It is not easy to find a hotel where the service feels so sincere and consistent in every part of the experience.
The room arrangement was one of the most unforgettable parts of our stay. Waking up to the breathtaking view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was simply amazing. The view received so many compliments from our friends and family, and many of them even asked us more about the hotel because they were so impressed. It truly made our stay feel extra special.
A very special thank you to Jennifer, the Front Office Manager, for her prompt replies and thoughtful arrangements before our stay. Her care and attention to detail made us feel reassured even before we arrived, and we really appreciated all the effort she put in to make our stay so well arranged.
Another highlight was how kid-friendly the hotel is. There were so many enjoyable activities for children, especially the animal feeding sessions and campfire dancing. Our child enjoyed them so much, and seeing her so happy made the stay even more meaningful for us. The fact that she is already asking to come back says everything.
Breakfast was also a wonderful part of our stay. There was a good variety, the food was enjoyable, and the setting was beautiful. Starting each morning with the peaceful view of the lake and mountains made the experience even more special.
This hotel truly raised our expectations of what a great and luxurious hotel should be. It is not only a beautiful property, but also a place made special by a team that brings so much warmth, care, and dedication to every guest’s stay. Congratulations to the hotel for having such an outstanding team and such a wonderful place. Thank you for giving our family such beautiful memories. We will remember this stay fondly.”

The Lijiang hotel we originally booked was in a terrible location, so we made a last-minute change to Zangyuan. Upon check-in, the front desk staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. When they learned we were traveling with our parents, they eagerly provided tips for high-altitude areas and even upgraded our parents to a free snow mountain view room, arranging a lavish afternoon tea! Knowing we'd be leaving Lijiang very late the next day, they proactively extended our checkout time to 3:30 PM, which greatly facilitated our itinerary! The hotel even thoughtfully provided a complimentary drop-off service to the station! The room was clean and tidy, and the location was very convenient. I highly, highly recommend it! I've attached photos of the room's view!”

In the center of Lijiang ancient town, there is a guest house with the fragrance of Zen tea - Melo Lanting Lijiang's one night light Zen tea quiet guest house.
The host has been operating here for 18 years, welcome and send here every day, gather around with tea and friends, and have a wide range of delicious snacks, shopping, leisure and entertainment.
