Stayed for 2 nights in Oct 2024, planned for 1 night to visit around the town itself and another night for the Simatai Great Wall. 1. Location - Inn is located within Gubei Watertown and it is necessary to go through the watertown to visit the Simatai Great Wall. By booking an accommodation within the town gives you discounted entrance price into the town and since we planned to visit the great wall and explore the town itself we have decided to stay for 2 nights (also partly the cost and time to travel there from Beijing). Inn is located near the main square where some performances are held and near a shuttle service stop (free shuttle services within town if you’re staying in an accommodation within town. Overall a good location within town. 2. Room - Booked a family room for 4 (2 single beds in each level). Room is mostly made of wood hence its not really a modern feel and its not really sound-proof which the staff has notified in advance. Room is spacious and bathroom is big. Stairs that goes up to the 2nd level is stable but can be a little steep for seniors. Overall the room is decent. It comes with tomatoes, peanuts and tea as welcome gift. 3. Luggage - There’s a luggage service whereby you can arrange for your luggage to be transported to your hotel from entrance, and from hotel back to entrance. This is definitely needed as the ground in the watertown is not a smooth surface and can be hard to carry your luggages around. 4. Services & breakfast - Staff’s services is really good and efficient! Breakfast is simple but has good variety. There’s the buffet portion which consists of small dishes for porridge, bread, bun, drinks etc. And there’s an alacarte portion where you need to order in advance the night before such as bacon, egg, sausages, noodles etc. i think its a good initiative to avoid wastage. Overall a very good stay and would recommend if you are visiting Gubei Watertown and would like to stay in a more traditional feel.

Pobyt był wspaniały! Hotelowy kamerdyner Ji Yingjie był uprzejmy i profesjonalny, opiekował się nami od zameldowania do wymeldowania. Odpowiadał na nasze potrzeby w odpowiednim czasie, pokój był ciepły i wygodny, a szczegóły zostały starannie przemyślane, co sprawiło, że poczułam ciepło domu. Wybiorę to miejsce ponownie następnym razem!

清明出行住了2天1夜 環境：整體酒店都被竹林覆蓋，整體不大，但很有園林感，細節設計地不錯，並且夜色降臨也有點上蠟燭（是真的），大堂拍照很出片，不過晚上酒店內可以多循環幾首，單曲有點枯燥，晚上出來散步還是很舒服的，也有可以休息的小桌子 衞生：酒店整體比較新，衞生處理得還是挺好的，唯一一點是沒有提前準備小童用品 設施：相對比較單一，可能是因為酒店位置周邊可遊玩的景區比較多，也相對成熟，衹有棋牌室和茶室（需預約付費使用），有SPA不過帶小朋友沒有嘗試，有獨立的吧枱（暫未運營），另外有一個麪包房，專門砌的窯烤麪包，餐廳一般，吃了一魚七吃，但是有在南方吃過類似的菜品，顯得比較單調，但是魚的肉質還是很新鮮的，菜已經有點多了，沒有加菜，不過應該還是不錯的，餐廳工作人員也很細心 服務：主要表揚酒店的工作人員，實名錶揚管家呂小星和大堂的小哥，很有温度的服務，小星很細心地為我們提前安排房間，以及晚上已經下班後還為小朋友們送來熱牛奶，大堂小哥哥也很熱情能記住我們一家（沒有問您的名字不好意思😬 整體體感：服務體驗大於環境，後續有附近遊玩需求會再來的

The location was easy to find. It was quieter since it is situated a little away from the activities at the base. However it is at the entrance of the Great Wall tram gate, so very convenient for an early start, or an evening tour of the Wall. My stay was midweek over Christmas and the whole town was relatively quiet. This meant the Hot Springs were also quiet which was spectacular! The rooms were a little chilly at night, but a soak in the springs and a little peach blossom wine solved it. I highly recommend this Inn. They were happy to use their translation apps to answer any questions.

I booked the place after seeing good reviews from XHS and on this site. We were met with not the lady boss on day of arrival but a grouchy man with curt instructions. And no assistance was given to help us carry our luggage to the 3rd floor. Lucky, it was a single luggage. So both my sis and I were able to do it on our own. The room itself is clean but very basic with no place to hang our clothes though hangars are provided. As we were only staying for one night, it was ok. Towels are provided with shower gel and shampoo. The hotel location is good/central as it is near the Sun Moon Plaza. Did not get to see the drone show as there were thunderstorms that night. We were glad when we met the lady boss the next morning. Very warm and friendly personality. She also helped us with arranging our luggage pickup by the service centre. Breakfast was mainly Asian with also bread, porridge and the small dishes cooked on order by the lady boss were tasty. The homemade soya milk was great too. Overall, i think the hotels in Gubei Watertown are overpriced with such basic room amenities. I paid nearly the same rate for a 5star hotel in Beijing with much bigger room with better room facilities/service. Suggest to go for day trip if possible. But if you want to go for overnight stay and climb Simatai the next day, suggest to stay inside the scenic area so you pay half the price and enjoy flexibility to move within the scenic area anytime.

Bardzo się cieszę, że w końcu mieszkam w gminie, o której marzyłam, ale też żałuję, że pojechałam za późno. Chciałam tam pojechać, odkąd moje dziecko miało rok, dwa lata i nie chciało idź, dopóki nie będzie nastolatką. Po drugie, żałuję, że tym razem pojechałem. Zostałem tylko na jedną noc, przyszedłem i odszedłem w pośpiechu. Można powiedzieć, że hotel istnieje już od wielu lat, a niektóre udogodnienia są rzeczywiście stare, a nie nowe, więc pobyt tutaj jest całkiem zadowalający, a atrakcje nie są wybitne. Największą atrakcją gminy powinny być różne wille rozsiane po obu stronach górskiej drogi. Willa, w której mieszkaliśmy, była dwupiętrową chatą leśną. Cała willa została podzielona na dwie części. Każdy obszar mógł pomieścić trzy rodziny. standardowa trzyosobowa rodzina). Ha, może ledwo pomieści rodzinę z dwójką dzieci), jeden pokój standard plus część wspólna na dole i dwa pokoje standardowe plus część wypoczynkowa na piętrze. Nie mam czasu na oglądanie konstrukcji innych typów willi, ale chciałbym w nich wszystkich mieszkać i doświadczyć ich, jeśli będę miał taką możliwość w przyszłości. Powietrze w górach jest naprawdę dobre. Wieczorem owady ćwierkają, a o poranku ćwierkają ptaki. Są też wiosenne bzy, brzoskwinie górskie, wiosenny jaśmin, kwiaty moreli itp., wszystko jest genialne. Piękno jest odurzające, ale i niepokojące, więc rano nie spałem zbyt wiele. Szedłem samotnie górską drogą. W środku spotkałem życzliwego kierowcę hotelowego busa, który zawiózł mnie do Pana Pana koniec górskiej drogi willi (niestety widziałem tylko bramę)... Ups, ten mały esej znów stał się kontem bieżącym, więc przestań. W sumie było to wspaniałe doświadczenie i chciałbym pojechać jeszcze raz. Szczególnie podoba mi się młoda dama w recepcji, która jest „pastą marchewkową” (przepraszam, że zapomniałem zapytać o jej imię). Od chwili, gdy zarezerwowaliśmy hotel, aż do wyjazdu, jej obsługa była troskliwa i serdeczna, mam nadzieję się spotkać ją ponownie, gdy następnym razem tam pojadę.

Wonderful Family Stay at a Kid-Friendly Hot Spring Hotel We had an absolutely fantastic time during our recent stay with our baby and 7-year-old—this is hands down the most kid-friendly hotel we've ever experienced! The highlights for families are truly outstanding: an amazing indoor playhouse that's perfect for keeping children entertained (though the flooring could use a refresh for even better safety and comfort), and incredible hot springs that the whole family enjoyed relaxing in. The location is a big plus, situated close to an amusement park and shopping center, making it easy to pop out for meals, shopping, or extra fun without relying solely on the hotel dining. The on-site food was delicious, and our spacious room felt practical and luxurious, complete with a bathtub offering nice views. One fun touch was the roaming delivery robot: it added a modern, playful vibe that the kids loved watching. That said, a few areas could be improved for an even smoother experience. Check-in was unexpectedly crowded, taking around 40 minutes (the longest we've ever waited), so families might want to arrive outside peak times if possible. The in-room bathroom has frosted glass that's a bit too transparent for privacy when sharing with spouse or kids—more opaque partitioning would help. Since the hotel knew we were traveling with a baby and young child, it would have been thoughtful to have a crib ready or bed linens prepared for the sofa bed (we managed fine without, but it would elevate the family-friendly aspect). Additionally, it would be great if the robots could handle deliveries from external orders, even for a small fee. Overall, this hotel offered excellent value for money and delivered a memorable, enjoyable getaway for our family. We'd highly recommend it to other parents looking for a relaxing yet engaging spot—we'd happily return!

I think we can all agree that the sole purpose of staying at this hotel is to gain immediate access to the Wall as soon as it opens in the morning. I guarantee you that this is the best way to experience the Wall without the crowds and you will have a greater chance to be able to capture shots of the Wall without anyone in your pictures. Your ticket for the Wall is included in the booking. The Hotel really is just a one nighter. I would not stay here longer as it provides the bare bones of a hotel. I would rate it three diamonds at most, not four. The room is spacious and warm, that's definitely a positive in winter. However, you do have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs when arriving and departing so beware if you have a dodgy back! There is an elevator but it only takes you from the parking lot to the lobby and not the rooms. One huge surprise for us was how delicious the dinner was at the hotel's restaurant. We were the only guests and they cooked everything from scratch for us. The breakfast (also served by the restaurant) was included in the booking and it was not quite to our taste but the staff had a cheerful disposition and were so kind and welcoming that we probably had a few more mouthfuls just to show our appreciation even if the food was not to our Western palate. Our trip was during the off peak season and the Wall opened at 8am. However, the breakfast started at 8am as well. I would recommend the breakfast be open 30 minutes before the Wall opened, otherwise guests will rush their breakfast, leading to some wasted food. The hotel advertises a transfer service from the airport but after making the booking we contacted the hotel on the Trip app and were told they do not offer this service so we had to arrange a Didi which was quite expensive, so please keep this in mind when making your booking.

Obsługa miła i przyjazna, nie było gości więc dostaliśmy upgrade. Pokój z olbrzymią wanną i widokiem na góry. Niestety niskie pomieszczenia i dość mała powierzchnia ze zbyt dużą ilościa bajerów dają klaustrofobiczny efekt. Wanna zwykle dla nas zbyteczna, finalnie była używana bo w prysznicu stało kilka cm wody po każdym użyciu i śmierdziało z kanalizacji. Plus za siatki w oknach. Mimo chaszczy pod oknami nie bylo komarów w pokoju. Hotel wyglada na bardziej zużyty niż na foto. Gorące zrodla...hmm...jest jedna sadzawka dla 2-3osob max tuz przy przejsciu do pokoi wiec nie ma totalnie klimatu chillu. Trochę zapyziały wjazd, ogród i otoczenie hotelu, przypomina bardziej zaplecze. Podjazd nie jest dostatecznie oświetlony,szutrowa droga, stoja jakieś rozwalone stare meble, kanapa, śmieci, dużo aut z taksówkarzami na podjeździe którzy leżą i czekają. Niezbyt przyjemnie. Jedzenie mega słabe, ryba niby prosto z rzeki wyławiania na naszych oczach ale doprawiona jakas tania przyprawą która popsuła smak. Ceny jedzenia w restauracji 2 razy wyższe niż w Szanghaju.
