"Brilliant location near beach. Aimed mainly at families, evening entertainment typical holiday camp for young children or oaps. Very good service and well maintained facilities. Excellent breakfast, clean rooms and fun games onsite like crazy golf. I had party of 3 adults staying in the hotel side. Best value in the area for a room with 3 or 4 adults. Highly recommend for a trip to North Devon"

"I’ve been fortunate enough to be well travelled and stayed in hundreds of hotels but this one is one of the best. The little details make this place so special. The accommodation was of exceptional quality with a massive bathroom, the room was spacious but so cosy I was asleep by 9.30! The food was delicious, the quality was outstanding and so lovely to see the chef taking real pride in what he does. The service was amazing, the waitresses and management were so accommodating and went above and beyond for us. This is the best value for a hotel, we hope to be back v soon!!"

Avoncourt Lodge
"I had a lovely stay at the Avoncourt Lodge. It's a little away from the main centre of activity in Ilfracome - but as a result, it's got a quiet, tucked-away feel (although with great views over the town). It's a a fairly easy walk down to the centre and harbour area (a little harder on the way back up, but not too hard), and on the way there you are rewarded with sea/cliff views a couple of minutes' walk from Avoncourt Lodge. The place itself has an older vibe - maybe you'd place it in the 1980s. But it's well-maintained and spotless, so it's a nice homely feeling. Breakfast is served to your table, and is fresh with good produce. The welcome was warm, and everything had good attention to detail. I'd certainly love to stay here again next time I am in Ilfracome."

"Beautiful tranquil place. Very relaxing and so comfortable. The treat at the bottom of the garden is the Woody Bay Steam Train Station. What a lovely place to visit minutes from your room. Wow! The place was easy to find and close to Lynmouth and Lynton. Daisy is so friendly and welcoming. Perfect"

"Urocze kilka dni pobytu w Lorna Doone House w ostatni weekend. Jest to miejsce bardzo czyste i tidy z bardzo wygodną sypialnią. Śniadanie jest super. Lokalizacja jest świetna, mieliśmy uroczy spacer rzeki w niedzielę. Lokalny pub jest przyjazny z dobrej piwa/jedzenia, więc o co więcej można prosić!! Nicky i Russell są świetnymi gospodarzami, nie wahamy się, że zostaniemy tam ponownie. Paul & Pauline"

Breakfast was lovely (loved your sausage's and butter ) good choice of cereal's , in a lovely room, Jo invited us both to their shanty night for Thursday night we had a great time thank you. All in all would highly recommend this delightful guest house set in a lovely spot . John & Elaine"
