"The hotel is in a side street in the most convenient location. Literally everything is within walking distance - places to see, restaurants, cafes, shops, even the tourism office. Honestly you can’t ask for a better location. We found the reception staff very helpful and friendly - especially the young lady who worked both evenings. It was a little off-putting to find out that reception closed at 8:00 pm - as it’s a hotel I would have thought there would be someone on property 24 hours but luckily we had no issues during our stay and did not need assistance on either night. The property is not modern but it was clean and comfortable. We did not have the continental breakfast offered as there are many cafes and restaurants steps away. We were a party of three and on check in I found the bedroom and bathroom to be basic but I was pleasantly surprised that it was spacious (by European standards) and overlooked the street. There was always something interesting to look at. So if you are looking for a reasonable room in a fabulous location, then consider Hotel De La Loge. Don’t expect bells and whistles and you will not be disappointed."

The living room has a sofa bed and a large, very quiet balcony. The front desk is usually unattended; I searched for ages to check out and finally found no one. After asking around, I was told I could just leave the key at the front desk."

"The room was smaller than it appeared in the photos. In the photos, there was space on both sides of the bed. However, the room I was assigned had no space around the bed, so it was much smaller. On the other hand, the temperature in the room was very low, even when plugging in the thermostat which otherwise made a lot of noise. In fact I had to sleep with a coat on and I was still cold. I am not a cold person, so someone who is may have a lot of trouble sleeping. Also, the room had no lock. I heard other rooms did have it, so I guess it would be mine. Considering the thinness of the door and how basic the lock is, I didn't feel very safe sleeping on it. There was a lack of cleanliness in the bathroom and in some areas of the room. And finally, the noise and discomfort of the pillow did not allow me to sleep all night. There was noise coming from everywhere. When booking this hotel I was expecting a basic Ibis Budget type concept, but nothing like that. The only thing that saves this hotel is the attention from the reception, which has very pleasant staff. Otherwise, I would not return to this hotel no matter how cheap it was."

"The location is either Awesome, or Ok. It depends what you plan to do in Perpignan. For us, passing by and arriving in the town by train at a late time in the day, the location of the hotel was perfect! Less than 2 min. away from the exit of the train station. But when it comes to access to restaurants, shops and the centre of the city, there are other choices. However, the room itself is very spacious and clean, we didn't hear much noise, and a lot of services are provided in the hotel. The staff is welcoming and helpful. But... We were advised to go to the restaurant "Jean" (Guinguette du Jean) not too far from the hotel; the food was not very good AND overpriced, and the wait VEEERRRYYY looonnng!!! The restaurant is interesting for its atmosphere, but I suggest you to only go there for a drink, and enjoy the decoration; for the food, go on the other side of the train station and you'll have many more (better) choices."
