We stayed here initially as part of a group tour and added a couple of days onto the end. We were concerned it might not be central, but it’s a fantastic location. Walk to station is ok but also only a cheap taxi ride. The area has loads of great local restaurants and bars . They were safe and friendly plus the food was really well priced and local delicious delights. The hotel has everything you need, clean, great showers, good breakfast. Plus if you arrive early or late there’s fridges etc that dispense bottles of wine 6 euros or water plus snacks. The staff are friendly and efficient Wifi great Couldn’t recommend more

Cosy room. Close to transport, amenities deceiving as linked with other hotels, spa area not in this hotel but another up the road. Upstairs balcony/ bar not in service anymore but ok for a quiet drink you can take up as self service. Coffee not great, suggest to go elsewhere. Amazing seafood restaurant nearby would highly recommended, SaTanca Crostaceri.

I'm sure that each of us has his own scale of factors to evaluate whether a place is beautiful or ugly but that the added value is the people. In this clean, nice and very comfortable hotel, near the Roma Termini station, it is precisely the people who make a small hotel a point of reference for our trips to Rome. Paola from the reception was, and is, the person who followed us during the booking process and who went out of her way to help us project our photographs on a wall, in a small room set up just for us, a small group of photographers arrived in town for a two day photography course. Thanks Thanks Thanks dear Paola, you are invaluable for the hotel and for the people who stay with you.. an infinite thanks from all of us. Federica

The location is great because of the metro, shops and restaurants. The service is always helpful and I love talking to the Free Hostels team! The atmosphere is very good and it is good to go there when you are solo. I met a group of great people there, and I still have contact with them. :) Additionally organized events like a New Year's Eve or dinner with music is just a pretzel of fun. I personally feel safe there and always walked around by myself.

Deserves to be a five-star hotel, the service is amazing, and the bedding is very comfortable. Excellent location right on top of the Spanish steps. Because I booked six nights, I got a free room with a small balcony. As soon as I entered the room, I was pleasantly surprised. There were welcome fruits and a welcome card with my name printed on it (still bilingual in Chinese and English). The cleaning service is professional and clean. Free water and chocolate every day and a bottle of red wine. There is a Mixing restaurant on the sixth floor of the hotel. Unfortunately, I did not go to taste this time. Before I left, I went to the restaurant on the first floor of his house. Angus steak was superb and delicious. In short, such a hotel is worth going to Rome again.

Location is good and easy to go around. Very near train station which makes this hotel superb. Air-conditioning needs to inform counter to make the room more comfortable, but they get it done. The room is comfy, but not the cleanest. Breakfast is good, there is enough spread to make yourself very full and well hydrated. If I ever come back to Rome, I would stay there again. For the price, cannot complaint

The hotel space is very large, the noise is too much, the staff service attitude is good, the breakfast choice is much more than the four-star hotel, the city tax per person per night is 7 €, quite expensive!

I can't believe poorly I was treated at this hotel. The only pro is the the hotel was right across from Termini. The cons are many. At first I was given a room that reeked of smoke. I had to ask for a change and was given one on the first floor. My window faced the street, so it was loud all night. I could hear vendors and other people talking outside my window all night. I did not feel safe. When I first arrived, the credit card reader was supposedly not working and a rude staff member told me I would have to procure cash in Euros to pay for the hotel. Even though I had already provided them my credit card info upon booking. After a few hours, there was a staff change and the new front desk guy, who was even ruder, said that the credit card reader was working all along, but that I would still need to pay for the VAT in cash. I gave him my credit card and asked him to charge it there. He refused and asked for cash. The worst part was that he refused to open the door and let me back into my room, where I had all my things, until o have him the 15 or so Euros cash to pay for the VAT! He finally agreed to open the door for me to get my wallet and go to the dangerous surrounding streets to look for a currency exchange place to procure the Euros to pay for the VAT. Ridiculous! There was a heat wave that day, so the room was unbearably hot. I saw an AC unit in the room, but no control to turn it on. I asked the front desk for the control. The front desk guy looked at me as if I was crazy and had made an unreasonable request, and then he rudely just said ”in Europe, we turn AC units off early in October”. The room itself was worn out and not particularly clean. I would never stay at this hotel again. I did not feel safe, the room was not worth it, but above all, the staff was beyond rude and unwelcoming.

I would say this hotel is very good but also very disappointing in some sense. Overall, I still like this hotel since some parts of this hotel is just heavenly amazing. The service of this hotel is super good. The receptionist Aras is super friendly, the waitress Nadia in the hotel is provide a very warm welcome and goodbye to us during checkin and checkout. Let’s start with the good points. This hotel restaurant, sadly not found in google, is definitely the best food in Rome. Not even others 5* restaurant outside is comparable with it, especially the carbonara. I have been Rome for 6 days and found no match for the restaurant in this hotel. This part is worth a 6 stars I would say. The next part is definitely about how warm most of the service is, you can get whatever sensical from the reception for free, like toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving. And I have to mention again Aras and Nadia are really our friends who serve us very well during Rome. We will miss you. Now I will start with something disappointing. First, there is some minor marble scaling in the holder of shampoo/bodywash in the toilet of the room, which makes it look dirty. Next, there is no air-con during winter and you have to open the window yourself, which might attract flies outside, but luckily only one fly actually flew into our room because of this. What’s worse is that one of the receptionists at night is super impatient to us when we call him about the air-con issue, which happens on the first day. This incident really hurts the rating of this hotel a lot on the first day. Yet luckily I didn’t meet that guy anymore and Aras Nadia and the restaurant saves the 5 star from me :) One more things I want to mention and I hope the hotel would invest is the gym. Out of 5 machines 4 of them are for cardio, which is actually pretty useless for a sporty person, while a sporty person is your target of the gym. I would suggest adding one more multi-task machine like the smith, and also dumbbells at higher weights.

The location is perfect, near the Termini station which connects you everywhere you go. Termini station is not exactly safe as there are many homeless people camping and roaming around. We felt that the hotel was safe as the doors were locked and security guard is on duty to service the guests.
