„Beautiful hotel!! Even though hotel was a few streets away from the station BUT free shuttle service is available. Hotel service was so good including free consultation on activity planning in Zermatt. Would definitely go back to this hotel if I’m coming back to Zermatt in future!!”

„Booked a family room for 3 adults and 1 child. Service at front counter is excellent! Courteous, friendly and informative. Also we got upgraded! Room is clean and spacious and has a balcony. On going renovation next door during our stay in Oct 2024. Resort has 2 restaurant at the hotel but one apparently requires reservation and has seating time. We were famished when arrived at the restaurant at 8pm, but were told to come back at 830pm for second seating. Such a disappointment when the front counter service was excellent. Had dinner at the pub instead, food wasn’t too bad. Spa facilities was great. Would stay at the same Ola e again. Value for money”

„Good! Overall recommended! Location is good, need some walking from station but manageable with 1 luggage. Hotel is directly opposite cemetery but don’t think too much and u be fine! Room is small but cozy (my photo is wide angle so seem bigger) Hotel is very helpful to help pack a breakfast bento for me as I be leaving before breakfast hours (just inform the day before). I also managed to keep luggage after checkout at the common area (no lock and key) and retrieve it later.”

„Location – 10/10 Nestled high above Zermatt, the Riffelhaus 1853 is accessible via the Gornergrat railway, making the journey itself an adventure. Once you arrive, you’re greeted by panoramic mountain views in every direction, with the iconic Matterhorn standing proudly in front of you. The setting is perfect for ski-in/ski-out access in winter and stunning hiking trails in summer. Rooms – 9/10 The rooms are cozy, modern, and well-equipped while still maintaining a classic Swiss alpine charm. Many rooms come with Matterhorn views, and waking up to this scenery is an experience in itself. The beds are comfortable, and the rustic wooden decor gives a warm, welcoming feel. Some rooms have balconies, which I highly recommend booking for the full experience. Service – 9/10 The staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. Despite the hotel’s remote location, the service is top-notch, with staff going out of their way to accommodate special requests. From seamless check-in to helpful local recommendations, they make the stay even more special. Dining – 8.5/10 The on-site restaurant serves delicious Swiss cuisine, including traditional dishes like fondue and rösti. The breakfast is generous, featuring fresh bread, cheeses, meats, and eggs cooked to order. The only downside is that, due to the remote location, dining options are limited to the hotel restaurant, but the quality makes up for it. Wellness & Spa – 10/10 The outdoor hot tub with a view of the Matterhorn is an absolute highlight! There’s also a sauna and steam bath, perfect after a day of skiing or hiking. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by snow-capped peaks is an experience worth every penny. Activities – 10/10 Winter: Perfect for skiing, as the hotel is directly on the slopes. The ski room is convenient, and the access to the Gornergrat ski area is unbeatable. Summer: Incredible hiking trails with direct access to the Gornergratbahn for easy excursions to higher altitudes.”

„I wish to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Hotel Bistrols from Dec 16 to Dec 17. During my stay, I experienced an incident that left me quite unsettled. Around 20 mins after my check-in to the hotel, another group of tourists (think was a couple) was able to use hotel access card to access my room, we, both parties are shocked and super embarrassed. This situation raised significant concerns about the security protocols in place at the hotel. As a guest, I expect a certain level of safety. If the room was accidentally opened without my presence, I am not sure whether my belongings are going to disappear, this situation made me had just a light sleep throughout the whole stay. The lack of adequate security measures not only compromised my sense of safety but also made me question the overall management of the hotel. In an age where guest security is paramount, I believe that Hotel Bistrols should prioritize ensuring that all rooms are properly secured and that guests feel safe throughout their stay. A point to add is that the receptionist has poor attitude towards her service. The whole experience which I would not consider to give this hotel another try in future. I hope that the hotel will take my concerns seriously and address these issues for future guests.”

„I traveled with clutch and to the hotel is simply easy walk. Direct opposite the rail station and near all the restaurants and Coop. I used the pool and it’s so nice.The breakfast was wonderful (some FOC selection in menu and a good spread in buffet) and they provide afternoon tea too.”

„這家酒店兩個點。 1.酒店明明就叫Alpenhof酒店（見圖一圖二），攜程平台上偏要叫wellness hotel alpenhof，害的我Google map隨便怎麼都找不到wellness hotel，在兩個鐵路站間來回奔波。攜程請看看圖五最精準的Google map的稱謂。 2. 入住時酒店給了間邊角落房間，斜頂的，面積大概沒少但體積肯定少了，這房間進去人就抑鬱了。再看看訂房時頁面展示（圖四）。後來經攜程協調給換了間正常房間。明明有房卻給間邊角落房，這家酒店真是夠壞的。zermatt小鎮酒店千千萬萬家，以後不來這裏了，太欺負人了。”

„We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Very near the zermatt train station, just opposite of Macdonald’s. Breakfast had a good selection. Housekeeping would check in on you and offer free chocolates. The only feedback I have is the room didn’t provide English instructions on how to dial the concierge so I had to walk down to request for items.”
