Spa Hotels in Dalian

„Great location, across from Zhongshan square and 15 minutes walk to Russia street. The marina is a short 10-15 mini taxi ride. This hotel is like an old style China hotel, it’s kind of grand and is kept in relatively good condition, but it is dated with dark wood furniture and not in keeping with the high expectation of an InterContinental, especially compared with other cities. Also, there is a weird smell in the room, and the breakfast spread is limited, even in the club lounge. Also, there was no acknowledgment of my milestone birthday, which was disappointing. On the positive, the executive room is a nice size, bathroom is huge, shower is powerful, the condition is ok, bed and pillows are comfortable, no coffee machine, but free access to lounge with afternoon tea on both days and happy hour where food is served. The pool is large and up to 1.8m deep. The price is relatively good, so overall it was enjoyable. Thanks also to Grace who gave me a late check out and a magnet. I hope they refurbish the hotel soon, as it could be better, through it ain’t that bad ether.”

„Dirty carpets in the rooms and in the hallway. Swimming pool was closed. You need to be nude when using the hot spring. My ************* is my privacy and they should take other cultures in consideration. I don't want to look at strangers private body parts and I don't think they want to look at mine. They need to get a pool for people to wear a swim suit. I couldn't use anything at the hotel, that's why I check out a day earlier. Not much of English help available. I will certainly not visit this hotel ever again. I will not recommend my friends to vist this hotel. The deposit of 1000rmb is too high for a single person. I request a days refund as I changed my hotel in Dalian to use the swimming pool and hot spring, which I couldn't use. ”

„We lived at this hotel in their apartments in 2001/2002, and it was interesting to come back and visit. It is perfectly located in the city and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are now older but have great views and are clean, tidy, and spacious. The breakfast buffet is extensive - Chinese, Japanese, and Western options. There's an excellent hot pot restaurant across the road!”

The staff was incredibly friendly, which made our stay completely comfortable with no inconveniences whatsoever. I would definitely consider returning in the future. The breakfast was excellent, and the ocean view from our room was stunning!”

„Our stay started off a little bit chaotic, as the AC in our room is broken and there was a loud noise coming from the bathroom. Also we had a late check-out as we needed to sleep more however the cleaner disrupted our sleep. After this we spoke with the manager and she was very kind and made up for many of the issues that we had during our stay. - Note: The hot springs are great! many different pools and not too busy when we arrived.”

„Most of the staff do not speak English at all! Only the guys at the reception speak good English and all questions had to be resolved with them, including the restaurant menu - no one in the restaurant, even with my use of a Chinese online translator, could help me with questions about the menu and when I asked the person at the reception to help me understand the menu, it turned out that the kitchen could not cook either the first course from the menu or the second. With dietary restrictions and allergies, you can die of hunger here. I consider it unacceptable to have non-English-speaking staff in a franchise of an English establishment. The cook at breakfast talks on the phone right at the place where food is prepared during breakfast. I wanted to ask him a question about the dishes on the first day - he was texting on the phone, on the second day he was directly talking on the phone. The dishes at breakfast are either not named at all or are named only in Chinese. There was no seller in the store at the hotel no matter how many times I went in to buy a T-shirt. In the end, I tried on what I was interested in at the store, chose it and went to the reception to pay for it. The next day, a salesperson appeared in the store and told me that the T-shirt I bought the day before had a 20% discount for a month, but when I paid for it, I paid it full price and thus I was deceived by 20% of the cost of the T-shirt and did not give any receipt. The pool is very small and not deep for such a huge hotel. If there is someone else in the pool besides your partner, there is not enough space. The sea near the hotel is dirty. Nothing is suitable for swimming - there are no sun loungers, there is no space on the beach specifically for the guests of the hotel. The beach is across the road from the hotel. There was only one coffee machine at breakfast and it didn't work both days. You could ask a restaurant worker for coffee. The hotel by the way has a cool energetic staff and that's nice. The room cleaning is high-quality. There are renovations going on at the hotel and guests can't use all the hotel areas.”
