Excellent onsen Hotel surrounding with beautiful garden. the staff in the hotel is nice and super-helpful, though I wish they could find more english speaking workers. Room is clean and food is delicious. Wish I could have spent more time in the hotel! Definitely will come back to enjoy!

Price performance is great, good location, low price with breakfast and dinner, room is big. BUT, a big but is hotel is very old , like in the 80s, very dark in the building like ghost will come out. Furthermore , NO wifi! This is probably the style of this group hotel. I stayed in other hotel of universal, some better some worse. I will still recommend it

To duży hotel zmierzający do jeziora New Road. Tylko kilka kroków od stacji Hot Springs w Songjiang. Jeśli używasz szybówki, to jest bardzo łatwy w ruchu. Widzę najlepszą widać z sali.

We stayed for three days and the hotel was beautiful. Very spacious, all of the amenities and such a relaxing hot spring tub. Breakfast each morning was wonderful and different each day, with local foods. The ladies who worked at the breakfast restaurant were very helpful and so nice. The front desk people were accommodating and easily aided us with any questions we had. Such a wonderful day and such a pleasure to meet James, the owner. It is really a lovely hotel.

是我最喜歡的日式温泉酒店，睡榻榻米布團的那種。周邊的風景也是絕美，宍道湖和温泉街，神社都是不可錯過的！酒店的温泉特別棒，碳酸水很滑，泡完渾身滑溜溜的，不愧為三大美人湯之一！晚餐餐食稍顯不夠精緻和高級，如果不自己加菜，甚至有可能吃不飽，早餐居然沒有温泉蛋，在温泉酒店居然吃不到温泉蛋……

This was a very nice hotel. The bed was very comfortable and had a large window which was great for letting the light inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The area was quiet. There was one tiny issue where I could hear a buzz noise from outside but that was blocked out when the television was on.

以前利用したことがあり、その際の印象が良かったので3年ぶりに利用しました。 外観は少し古く見えますが、中は非常に綺麗で、素晴らしいです。部屋も広く、不満なことは一切なし。 風呂まで少し歩きますが、浴衣でゆったり歩きながらお風呂に向かう時間もよく思えます。 何よりも満足したのは朝食バイキングです。全ての料理が美味しい。普段は朝そんなに食べれないのですが、あまりにも美味しいのでたくさん食べてしまいました。 また来たいです。

A boutique local hotel under the Excel brand, it is what I can expect. Everything works, good Tokyu group facilities. Felt that the car park fee at ¥1,200 per night is a bit high in this kind of city.

AANDREAS NUR JAHJAMatsue Excel Hotel Tokyu was our 5th hotel in this journey, and honestly, it set the bar pretty high. The location was hard to beat — right opposite Matsue Station, and it could be easily reached through an underpass, which was especially helpful when travelling with big luggage or during bad weather. One big surprise for us was the check-in experience. We arrived at the hotel at around 11.30am, fully expecting to leave our luggage and return later, but we were told that our room was already ready and we could occupy it immediately instead of waiting until the usual 3pm check-in time. It also seemed that they upgraded our booking to a Standard Double Room, which made the experience even better. Two thumbs up for this hotel. Even though we had booked a Standard Single Room, the space genuinely surprised us. The room came with a queen bed and was more than comfortable for two of us. We were able to fully open our large suitcases without feeling cramped — something that is not always guaranteed in Japanese hotels. The room layout was practical and well thought out, with a proper TV console and work desk with a chair, a single sofa with a small table, an air purifier, and a fridge. The TV model was a bit outdated, though it did not affect our stay. The bathroom was also spacious, with a proper bathtub that allowed us to stretch our legs comfortably after long days out. The bed was very comfy, and they provided two pillows for each of us, which made our sleep even better. Amenities and bottled water were provided at the lobby area, which we found convenient. We paid around SGD159 (JPY19,000) for two nights, and it was excellent value. Overall, it was one of the best hotels in this journey, and we would gladly stay here again.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located near Matsue station. The front desk agents were very polite and did their best to talk to me, despite my very broken Japanese. Guests are given a locker, protected by a keycard. The locker itself was good enough for me, who took only a conventional backpack and a pair of shoes, but might not be enough for those who are not traveling light like that. The bathrooms were shared and quite clean, fully furnished with amenities for showers and personal hygiene. WiFi was included and it was quite decent for general use, even when inside the shared bedroom. The bed capsule had a pillow and a blanket, lights and power outlets for phones. I had more space than I imagined, enough for me to sit on the bed. The only downside of this room type was air circulation, probably due to the hot climate that's been the standard here in Japan lately, but I think the fans could work more efficiently or the capsules could use an AC outlet. Other than that, I recommend this location and will certainly stay with them again.

GGuest UserNicely situated in the centre of one of the two main streets in Yunotsu. I stayed in the bottom capsule which is much more spacious than the top capsule since you get space to put your belongings. Kitchen was equipped with basic condiments like soy sauce and cooking oil. There is a coin laundry facility in the adjoining building - 500 yen for wash and 100 yen per 10 mins of drying. The only concern I had was with the check in process, which luckily for me I was informed about before by reading the reviews. Check in is at Kazeto, another hotel around 5 mins walk away from Watowa. This can be troublesome for guests arriving by foot as you’ll need to backtrack to Kazeto if mistakenly arriving at Watowa first. Staff at check in were helpful and friendly (English speaking) and provided ample information about the facilities and attractions in Yunotsu and surrounds.

I appreciate a lot on: - warm and friendly staff who could not speak much English but were very nice to explain to me the details of the hotel - gorgeous garden where you could take a seat and enjoy the view - free Japanese alcohol at 1500-1800 (soft drinks until 2100) - impressive free Japanese cultural performance at 2110 - quick and positive response despite I made several urgent requests due to sudden plan change - free shuttle bus service between JR station and hotel if you approached front desk for information - the environment of the public bath was quite clean - totally different food combination in dinner for 2 nights Considering the price I paid for such service, I would say the quality is definitely beyond my expectation. :) Thank you every hotel staff who made my experience a better stay!!

看看山看水看雲A hotel that is convenient. There is an articial spring in the basement that closes at 1am. Good for people who have got a long day out. The bedding is clean but a bit yellowish. Very polite and good hotel staff. They let us store the luggage for two nights while we r away and will come back to stay on the 3rd night.

FFrostnova_6This Showa-era business hotel is right outside Matsue Station's South Exit. The lobby is sunken, which might be a bit inconvenient for those with heavy luggage. The room facilities are quite old, there's no outlet by the bed, and power is activated by an old-fashioned key card system (or rather, a key). The large public bath on the top floor wasn't open, and the elevator is also very small. When you go out, you need to hand your key to the front desk, and when you return, you show a card with your room number to retrieve your key and meal voucher. They offer free breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a buffet with limited options, and for dinner, you can choose between a curry set meal or a daily Japanese-style set. All in all, for just over 200 a night, including breakfast and dinner, what more could you ask for? If it doesn't mind my budget, I won't mind its age.

GGuest UserVery pleasantly surprised, the room was very comfortable, the sea was outside the floor-to-ceiling window, the private soup pool was great to watch the sunset, and the minibar was free in the first round and the local sake was delivered. The dinner was great and the price was right. But there are 8 rooms that are not very good for weekends and need to be early in advance. Since there is nothing to eat nearby, it is best to book dinner on the official website, and you can make a rice ball to take away after eating rice. The breakfast is also very generous, it is Japanese style, and it is very full. The station is inconvenient to the hotel. It is best to rent a car at Izumo Station. If you take JR to Oda, you can taxi but it is difficult to take a taxi. You can let the hotel help you book a taxi.

RREI YSIt’s really a very good hotel. I didn’t expect anything from Shimagen, but from the beginning of landing at Izumo Airport, all the way to the hotel, I met very warm and friendly people. The staff of the bridge management were very enthusiastic and responsible. The design and facilities of the hotel can be said that I have lived in the top three in all Japanese hotels. The design is obviously very attentive, convenient and practical, not fancy, simple and generous, and the room is really clean. The hotel is on the right hand side of the station and the traffic is convenient. The reception staff at the front desk were not only enthusiastic and patient, but also specially printed the Chinese version of the hotel guide, moved, great praise! ! !

Those who want to visit Tottori, Izumo and Sakaiminato will find Matsue well located, while the Ryokan is next door to the Ichibata railway deserving the Izumo Taisha. The room was renovated and very spacious, offering a direct view to the lake. Above all, the staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. Real Omotenashi ! We are fully satisfied with our stay. Will repeat for our next stay in the area.
