Hotele Pet friendly w: Valencian Community, Spain

I rarely write reviews of holiday accommodations, but this time I simply couldn't resist sharing my experience. My wife and I traveled to Peñíscola to experience a total solar eclipse, perhaps the only one we will ever witness in our lifetime. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to what we thought would be an ideal observation point: the walls of the Templar castle in Peñíscola. However, the local authorities closed the site to visitors in anticipation of the influx of eclipse enthusiasts, and suddenly I found myself facing a serious problem: the eclipse would take place behind the mountains, below the horizon. And this is where the Owner of the wonderfully charming Hostal Dios Está Bien stepped in. I asked her for help, hoping for some useful local advice. What did I receive instead? An invitation to join her family in watching this extraordinary celestial event while sharing their family dinner! What began as a perfectly normal, albeit exceptionally warm, interaction with the hotel's staff evolved into something truly special. There was a bottle of surprisingly good wine waiting for us upon arrival, friendly conversations every time we met, and, in the end, family stories and photographs shared around the table. Never before have we experienced such openness and kindness, and I truly feel that we have gained new friends. Thank you. We sincerely hope that one day we will have the opportunity to return your extraordinary hospitality. And all of this took place in a small, charming, beautifully maintained hotel, housed in a historic building in the heart of Peñíscola, where delicious homemade breakfasts are served every morning. I wish everyone could have an experience like this.

This hotel is old. The room is small and looks like it needs to be renovated. The room we booked is not as good as the room we redeemed with points. The location of the hotel is OK, of course, because the old town of Valencia is very large, you can basically walk to the main attractions in 15 minutes. It is very close to the North Railway Station, but it is not actually useful because the commonly used stations are far away and definitely cannot be walked. The hotel service is average, parking is not allowed at the door of the hotel, watching the old man pushing the box by himself, the waiter acted as if he didn't see it, until the road was uneven and the old man fell. I probably won't stay at this hotel after getting off the bus

The air conditioning doesn't work, at least in my room.. We passed heat because when we opened the windows to reconcile the dream we were screwed up by mosquitos ... at last we didn't sleep for an hour. The bathroom has a window without just in the shower. The staff were very attentive, the bed is 80 cm but the bed is quite comfortable.

Everything is great in the hotel, including the road to the beach, and for me it is the best in Benidorm. The beach is 2 minutes away. Clean, cozy, modern, shower gel, shampoo and hand gel - Dove, not from the same can) A simple good breakfast, the ability to take a shower after check-out, they even give you a towel. The room is small, but this is enough for a stay at the sea. The only negative is that the water in the shower drained very slowly and poorly. For this, the rating is 4 for convenience. And the second point, rather Trip.com. It says that there is a sea view, but there was none, no matter how hard you try. And the employee told me that they do not have single rooms with a view of the water, only large rooms. I ask Trip.com to correct this in their description, this is not true, the view is of the street on the neighboring house. It is normal, you just need to write as is and maybe for someone it is important.

The apartment looks just like the pictures. It offers a washing machine, clothes rack, iron, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, hairdryer, and extra linens (blankets, towels, and two pillows). The area is quiet and well-connected, a little over 1 km from the sea (within walking distance). The Hemisfèric and Oceanogràfic are also nearby (we walked to them, but there's a bus stop right outside that gets you very close). However, the bathroom wasn't meticulously clean, the loft bedroom creaks, and you can hear the toilet flush from the adjacent apartment as if someone in your own apartment is using the bathroom. The only window faces directly onto the street, and there's no balcony. For a week's vacation, and considering the value for money, it's perfectly fine, especially if you plan on spending most of your time out and about.
