„Stayed here for 3 nights and overall had a really positive experience. The location is super convenient, about a 5-minute walk to both the train station and MTR, which made getting around effortless. There are plenty of convenience stores right nearby. The hotel has a nice quiet vibe, which was perfect after busy days out exploring. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room itself was a standout, surprisingly big and spacious by Japanese standards. It was spotlessly clean and tidy, and there was still plenty of floor space even after we opened two large suitcases (something that’s almost impossible in most other compact hotels in Japan). The only downside was the bedding. The duvet (?) was way too thick and heavy for my liking. It made the bed feel quite hot at night, and I ended up sweating a lot despite the AC. Otherwise, this place was near perfect. Would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you’re okay with cranking the AC lower. Solid choice!”

One of the biggest advantages is the location. The resort is very close to a convenience store,which is extremely helpful for families — whether you need snacks, drinks, daily essentials, or quick meals, everything is within easy reach. There are also many restaurants inside the resort, offering different types of cuisine. However, it’s important to note that several popular restaurants require advance reservations, especially during peak seasons. Planning ahead is highly recommended to avoid long waits or limited dining options. Overall, Rusutsu Resort is very family-friendly, well-organized, and convenient. With its wide range of facilities, nearby convenience store, and diverse dining choices, it’s a great destination for a comfortable and enjoyable family holiday — just remember to book restaurants early.”

„Mieliśmy przyjemny pobyt w InterContinental Sapporo przez IHG. Pokój był czysty i wygodny, a personel był ciągle przyjazny i profesjonalny. Miejsce było wygodne dla zbadania miasta, a całkowita atmosfera hotelu czuła się spokojna i przyjemna. Zdecydowanie rozważymy pobyt tutaj ponownie.”

„The hotel provides a shuttle bus pick-up from Sapporo Station (Bus Terminal), but reservations can only be made by phone call. Email requests are not accepted. We arrived on a Sunday, and the bus was already fully packed when leaving Sapporo Station, so it is best to book early. The hotel itself is a little old, though the public area toilets appear to have been recently renovated. The public onsen pools are large and relaxing, but the stone tile flooring can be slippery from long use, so be careful when walking in the bath area. The buffet has a good spread of dishes. I especially enjoyed the dinner scallop miso soup, handmade sushi, and desserts. The restaurant was lively and fully packed with both local Japanese families and overseas tourists. One minor downside was the seasonal fruit such as lychee. It would be better if the hotel ensured the fruits were properly washed before serving. Wi-Fi connection in the hotel is strong and stable unlike the big spa hotel in lake Toya which I just stayed a few days ago.”

„1) Japanese room is old but thankfully no funny smoke odour etc. decent sized and good for 2 large luggage - they will come and prepare your futon at around 5-530pm. 2) water park is good for kids, with 2 fun slides and some kiddo water slide. The indoor wave pool is big and there’s float and swimwear rental available too (unlike Rusutsu which doesn’t have such options). 3) Dinner was meh - wide selection but taste was alright. The dining buffet area is quite smoky though from the cooking and is quite a turnoff. 4) arcade at B1 is good for entertainment. 5) onsen is awesome. If timed right, you can watch fireworks from the onsen - it has a large sliding glass panel which is open during non-winter period. 6) daily fireworks - awesome”

„From Noboribetsu train station, take a bus bound for Ashiyu Iriguchi & take off at the last stop which is in front of the hotel. Bus only accept cash or physical credit card (no IC card). Around 15 mins walk to Jigokudani & centre area. Have free shuttle to Bear Park. Breakfast & dinner is buffet style with lots of choices. The Japanese Western room is spacious, has 2 beds and tatami area. Onsen on the 7/F (outdoor & indoor) and 8/F (indoor only). Overall experience GOOD.”

„位置在北海道大學旁邊.距離札幌車站坐計程車大概9分鐘花費台幣$300但是相當值得因為飯店不輸五星級的設備非常的寬敞，因為是成人旅館有汽車旅館的感覺各種夢幻的燈還有一些用品不好說齊髮沐浴乳在櫃檯自己領取都是有品牌的還有各種補充品最讓人驚艷的是有歐舒丹的乳霜還有飲料喝到飽這點非常的實惠有科爾碧斯汽水冰水熱咖啡熱可可,晚上還可以唱卡拉OK唱到12點還有好吃的熱炒可以點真的很像台灣的汽車旅館設備也非常的豪華還有溫泉可以泡湯，個人覺得花一點計程車費是很值得的”

„Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Shirogane Onsen Hotel Park. While the room and toilet are quite small, they were clean and functional. The rest of the experience was very good — the onsen was relaxing, the surroundings were beautiful, and the atmosphere was peaceful. Service was courteous, and it was a nice place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. If you don’t mind compact rooms, this hotel offers a comfortable stay with a great onsen experience.”

„The Windsor Hotel at Toya may boast its status as a premier 5-star luxury destination and its historic role as host of the 2008 G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit, but our recent stay fell far short of expectations. Despite the grandeur of the location and its breathtaking views, the service quality was surprisingly poor for a hotel of this caliber. English communication was inconsistent and below the standard expected at an international luxury property. Housekeeping was careless—leaving a used cleaning towel on the bed after daily room service, which is simply unacceptable. When I drove to the main entrance to pick up my family, I was abruptly asked to leave immediately, even though only a few cars were present. This lack of hospitality was jarring. Additionally, being charged for extra bottled water—something even 3-star hotels offer complimentary—felt petty and out of touch with luxury norms. The most troubling experience came during checkout. Two of our international credit cards failed to process, and although we successfully paid with a third, the staff’s attitude was unprofessional. We were met with a sour expression and the word “FINALLY” once the transaction went through—an unacceptable remark that left a lasting negative impression. While the hotel’s setting is undeniably beautiful, the overall service and treatment we received did not reflect the standards of a true 5-star experience. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both staff training and guest relations.”

„We had a good overall stay at Daiichi Takimotokan, a large traditional ryokan-style hotel. While the property is a little dated, it is well maintained and kept clean. The hotel itself offers plenty to do, including restaurants, a souvenir shop, simple arcade games, karaoke, massage services, a public onsen, and even a small reading area with Japanese books. You can easily spend time exploring the building without needing to go out. The location is very convenient. It is just outside the main (short) shopping street and within walking distance to Jigokudani, making it easy to explore the area. Our stay included breakfast and dinner buffet. Dinner had a wide variety of options, including popular sashimi selections and steamed snow crabs, along with both Japanese and Western dishes. Breakfast was a simpler spread but still satisfying. We stayed in a Japanese-style room and found the futons comfortable to sleep on. As we visited during winter, the room had central heating only. At times, we cooled the room by slightly opening the window to let in some cold air. Yukata robes are provided in the room (or you can choose one that fits you at the lobby), and you can wear them around the hotel when heading to the onsen, restaurants, or arcade. The public onsen area is spacious and features many different pools with various functions, so you can take your time and enjoy the experience. Just remember to wash yourself thoroughly at the shower stations before entering the onsen pools. Unfortunately, we did not try the outdoor onsen despite it being open — we were a little intimidated by the winter cold! Overall, we would recommend this hotel, especially for first-timers who want to experience staying in a traditional ryokan. Tip: There are direct buses to and from the hotel from New Chitose Airport and Sapporo. The bus stop is only about 50 metres from the hotel entrance, which made walking in the snow much easier for us. However, the service runs only once a day, so be sure to check the schedule and plan your itinerary accordingly.”
