„Overall the hotel was pretty decent however weren’t informed on arrival that we had to register car plate number on the electronic system to avoid paying fine. Explained this to the receptionist as we weren’t informed on arrival but they weren’t being of great help and one of the staff was quite rude and dismissive. Rest of the stay apart from this was fine”

„We have stayed in Manchester for few days and go to Lancaster for a week and then come back to Manchester again. The receiption is very helpful to us in arrangement of checking in. The room is tidy and clean. We are happy with our stay here. And will revisit this hotel for next time.”

„The service was nice. There are some little things that need to be upgraded like a real coffee machine for breakfast, giving a bathrobe for your room to go in the spa (free bathrobe of course). I’m satisfied for the rest. I spent a nice week. 😊”

Clean, calming, and wonderfully designed, it was the perfect escape. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had – incredibly soothing and tailored to perfection. Right in the heart of Manchester, everything is within walking distance, yet the hotel still manages to feel like a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. All in all, The Midland is a true gem. Comfortable, elegant, and run by an outstanding team. We’ll absolutely be back!”

„Stayed here before our morning flight and it was great. Couldn't get a better location, since it's inside the terminal complex. We stayed in a runway view room and it was cool to see the planes landing and taking off, and it wasn't much extra for the runway room compared to a normal. Staff were lovely at check in and the room was comfy and completely silent.”

„During my recent stay at this hotel, I found the overall experience to be enjoyable with top-quality fittings and furnishings. However, there were areas that required improvement. The hotel itself is pleasant, but enhancing the service and room cleaning would significantly improve the guest experience. A standard room was paid for but a disability-accessible room was provided. We requested to change it to a standard which was done immediately without any questions. No water bottles were provided in the room initially; they were only given on request and only two small bottles were provided. Additionally, the room cleaning service was unsatisfactory. Despite requesting it twice over 4 nights, the cleaner only changed the sheets once and neglected to take out the bins vacuum, replace towels or clean the bathroom. This was particularly disappointing given the length of my nearly week-long stay. The breakfast was beautifully presented with various options but unfortunately remained the same every day lacking any variation. Some areas were particularly poor. For instance, the scrambled eggs had a distinct smell and were overly watery. Adding tomatoes or simply varying the options every few days would have improved the experience. One concern we had was the cleaning team. Twice the cleaner used his universal card to enter our room without ensuring no one was present. My partner was in the shower and our young baby was asleep. We heard a knock but were unable to reach the door in time. Upon reaching it we realised he was already entering. This occurred twice and on the following day we decided to chain the door for privacy reasons. In other hotels we have stayed in, privacy is of the utmost concern for staff and they would never even risk opening someone’s locked door without making sure. A better system needs to be in place here.”
