The traditional hotel. Mostly of the visitors are local people. The host was very nice to me. I have tattoos and the host gave me pass to a private onsen. Will come back to this place.
Also have a great breakfast with traditional sea food meals.
Everything was good, a bit pricey but convenient. Driving to the hotel is easy and there is free parking for hotel guest, just let them know so they will pass you the exit coupon.
The Mount Fuji view really get the full view and shiok to wake up to such a nice view!
3. Gorące źródło znajduje się na 5. piętrze. Jest zamknięte, a kąpiel jest dobra. Można się kąpać, patrząc na morze. Mężczyźni i kobiety zamieniają się rano i wieczorem.
This hotel is fantastic and fully equipped, truly a resort hotel, and many Japanese guests stay here! First, the hotel will send you an email in advance to confirm your dinner time. We booked dinner for two nights; it was a set menu, and the menu changed daily! The rooms are spacious, and there are many yukata choices! There are two hot springs ♨️, one in the main building and one in the south building. Currently, there are no private baths. We tried both. The main building's is smaller but fully equipped and less crowded. The south building isn't too far to walk to, just a few stairs! Both sides have restaurants. We stayed in the main building and dined there. Breakfast was indeed a bit of a hassle; you usually have to wait. You can go down early to make a reservation, and they'll call your room when it's ready!
If you have time, you definitely need to try the hotel's facilities. It has three stops, including a free spa and an indoor water park. We went to the spa, and swimsuits were provided, which was very convenient! The internal shuttle runs until 11 PM, so you can go in the evening too! Be aware that the shuttle to the Kogen Station is the same as the internal shuttle, so make sure to ask when you get on! Both the hotel's dinner and breakfast are high-quality, and breakfast even includes sashimi rice! Plus, the hotel's souvenir shop is cheaper than the one at JR Station! I recommend having dinner at the hotel, as there's absolutely nothing around, no shops! But the hotel itself is so exciting, it's worth it even if you just stay and enjoy the hotel!
Clean and well-kept hotel. Love the restaurant setting. Hawaii-theme hotel by the beach. Rate is reasonable, especially during the off-season. High season, a lot more expensive but if you love hotel by the beach with outdoor pool, medium size natural hot spring, this place is worth consideration. Great to go in early to mid February when the Kawazu sakura start to blossom along the river near the hotel - an easy 18-minute walk along the coast from hotel.
Beautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus.
Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!
The hotel is clean and the room is spacious, if you’re into Zen etc then it’s perfect location for that, Otherwise you will need to resort to shuttle bus and in our case we rented a car to get around the local areas. I didn’t know that regardless of you use it or not you will be charged for the onsen fee, which no one tell us at check in, it’s a small thing but it would be nice to be told everything upfront.
It was nice stay! The onsen was tiny but the quality of water was so nice. The only thing you should be careful about, that the rooms without a private bath might be without a shower.
Location, view and other things are cool!
We were assigned an older room that was in dire need of an upgrade. The peeling wallpaper, fraying tatami mat, and sinking mattress made for an uncomfortable stay.
The breakfast was decent, but if you're staying for a few days, I suggest rotating your choices, as the offerings remained practically the same throughout our three-day stay.
The happy hour at the lounge was crowded, yet it featured a good selection of alcohol, which was a nice perk. However, there isn’t much to explore in the vicinity of the hotel unless you are driving.
For a more enjoyable experience, try booking one of the newly renovated rooms. Otherwise, it might be better to seek accommodation in a more centralized location.
Bardzo dobry

Amazing
GGuest UserThe environment here is absolutely amazing, and being able to soak in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast was decent too. However, there were some real pain points. First off, I knew the hotel was on a mountain and that there was a shuttle service. But I didn't realize the shuttle and pedestrians use the same road to go up, which felt quite dangerous. Secondly, the shuttle schedule was infrequent. The biggest issue was that due to a landslide, the later sections of the Izukyu Line were suspended. The hotel's car picked us up at Katase-Shirata, but they wouldn't drop us off there for the return journey. They clearly had a driver picking people up at Katase-Shirata, so why couldn't they just take us with them? Plus, the front desk wasn't clear about this when I asked. The hotel car could only shuttle us to Shimoda Station, which wasted our time. It was a complete rip-off!
Yyipeng luoAmazing hotel with the Fuji View from the room, don’t
have to travel to viewpoints just to see Fujisan. Toilet is nicely segregated and the room is super big and spacious that I can open my luggages freely. The free public bath is amazing with different options for onsen and sauna room. Location is good, right beside Gotemba premium outlet so shopping was very convenient. But if you are not driving, might be difficult for you to get food at night .. Nearest 7-11 is quite a walk as its located deep inside Gotemba premium outlet.
CCw233Facilities: This hotel has an old-money charm, and you can really see its past luxury. Everything is very well-maintained, and the rooms are clean. There aren't many power outlets, but they thoughtfully provided power strips. The tatami mattress was very comfortable, and the cleaning staff did a thorough job every day. The view from the window was beautiful, and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves was a dream.
Service: The hotel offers a shuttle service to Atami JR Station, departing every half hour from in front of McDonald's. There are two vans per shuttle, clearly marked with the hotel's name in red, and managed by hotel staff. They drop off at both the old and new wings, which makes up for the slightly inconvenient location.
Environment: The hotel boasts three large hot springs, all with both indoor and outdoor baths. I tried them all, and each has its own unique character. My skin felt so smooth afterwards! The walkway on the 15th floor of the Ocean Wing (old building) offers panoramic ocean views, making it the perfect spot to watch the sunrise.
Dining: The buffet dinner was absolutely, incredibly amazing! Unlimited tuna belly! All-you-can-eat scallops and roe! Shrimp, sea bream, squid, salmon – there was so much I couldn't even try it all. The cooked dishes were also delicious, but my stomach just couldn't fit any more.
I saw some not-so-great reviews before checking in, but perhaps everyone has different preferences. We, however, highly recommend it!
LL. CelineBooked room with the onsen and it was a nice touch but it might cost a bit... nevertheless the service was good and they do have free shuttle. Just take note its just to the station. If you would like to visit Shuzenji temple, you gotta get down and walk the other direction. Breakfast has a wide variety. 👍🏻
P.s. try checking in earlier, cause when it gets dark, its might be difficult to find your way up the mountain as road is winding.

GGuest UserAlthough there was a miscommunication between Trip.com and the hotel during the initial booking process, which resulted in not being able to upgrade to the desired meal plan, the hotel front desk staff went above and beyond to resolve the issue. They provided a lot of help and convenience throughout my entire stay, and the management was very accommodating. Highly recommended! The hotel is a 10-minute taxi ride from Izu Kogen. While Jogasaki Coast is closer in a straight line, it's all uphill, and you'll question your life choices if you're dragging luggage... So, I recommend taking a taxi from Izu Kogen Station to the hotel.
GGuest UserI would hesitate booking this hotel if you are looking for a “wow” experience. We had some issues due to bad weather and some due to service.
We booked a room that ideally should have had views of Mount Fuji. Due to the fog, we saw nothing for our 1 night stay outside of the clouds. This is no fault of the hotel but worth factoring into expectations.
We also had some service shortfalls. No one in advance communicated that we needed to select a time for the included dinner or pick the cuisine we wanted. As a result, we got stuck with what was available. We also were not informed that there was a shuttle to a nearby train station (the hotel made up for this by driving us to the station, but the only reason we knew was another guest mentioned it). Lastly, we selected a meal option but were not told the supplement in advance so had a 24,000 yen surprise on our bill. Had this all been communicated in advance, we would have felt better about our stay. At breakfast, we waited over 20 minutes for coffee and had to ask 3 times before it was eventually served.
On the plus side, the hard product is strong and our Kappo dinner was delicious.
While this wasn’t a “bad stay” - I struggle to see how this hotel landed as a 3 Michelin Star rating and can charge the prices that are charged given some of the issues we faced.
GGuest UserTHIS WILL BE MY TOP 1 BEST HOTEL. I will definitely come back this hotel again. Loved the place, loved the room, the view, the experience. A friendly and lovely staff upgrade our room, and we had the BEST experience there. I will always appreciate the hospitality and experience there. We had great breakfast there, and we joined for the driving experience and speedway museum. LOVED IT!
AAnonymous UserThe room was actually quite spacious, bright, and comfortable, with clean beds and a fantastic full ocean view. However, the facilities were a bit dated. Also, probably due to staff shortages, the hotel offered guests staying multiple nights a 2000 JPY credit per night if they opted out of housekeeping, which could be used at the hotel's outlets. The hotel's location was a bit tricky to find. Arriving at night, the navigation led us through small alleyways and stone steps. Carrying luggage up those steps was quite a struggle 😰, and after descending the stone steps, we still had to climb a slope… 😂. I'd recommend taking a taxi if you're arriving late! Overall, this hotel was very comfortable, and it was a pleasant end to our in-depth trip.
11002021962Perfect! Words can't describe our experience. It was simply beautiful, showcasing the best of Japan: courtesy, cleanliness, meticulous attention to detail, and exquisite cuisine.
This is the hometown of the Izu Dancer, and wasabi is cultivated right down the mountain.
The hotel told a story about wasabi from beginning to end...
