3-Star hotele w: Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan

The dinner and breakfast, featuring delicious Japanese cuisine made with natural ingredients, was excellent. Although the bath wasn't a hot spring, the wooden tub in our room had a lovely aroma, making the morning bath a truly pleasant experience. The inn even provided a shuttle service to see the Night Kagura at Takachiho Shrine, and with Higashi-hongu of Amano Iwato Shrine right nearby, the location is absolutely superb!

From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank all staff of the hotel. My 11-old son and I stayed there for just one night, because we were on our way to visit gorgeous Toungenkyu hydrangeas park in the other town, so we chose to stay in Hyugashi, and that was definitely the right decision! I didn’t know that there was no public transportation assess to the park, because it’s located far upon to the mountains. But I never give up  So, I decided to get to the park by hitchhiking! And one of kind managers of the hotel wrote the name of the park in Japanese characters on a big sheet of paper to be seen from far apart for drivers. Besides, he told us where it could be possible to stop a car. So we did it! First, we went to the nearest town by train, and tried the hitching there. There was a nice lady who took us to the park and back to Hyugashi, we were so grateful to her!!! The local people were kind to us everywhere whenever it was a restaurant or a station. We will never forget the kindness of the local people!!! We liked that izakaya on the first floor in the building. Moreover, we liked that nice quiet town Hyugashi because of its people! We wish you all the best!!!

This feels more like a self-service business hotel, but its location is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of Miyazaki. The hotel offers great amenities like a microwave and laundry room, which are really handy. We had breakfast at the hotel; the quality was average, but they had a wide variety of fresh vegetables, which helped us get our greens and fiber for the day. We stayed for three nights, and Miyazaki truly exceeded our expectations with its cleanliness, tranquility, comfort, and pleasant climate. The people are warm and genuine, and things are affordable. It's a perfect place for a relaxing getaway!

The hotel is beautiful and it has great amenities (top restaurants including a high ranked steakhouse,, an amazing bakery, a gym, hot spring, laundry room and several stores including a kimono rental store. The hotel is located close to malls and the subway station. The staff are very kind and are always willing to assist even if they are not proficient in English . The breakfast buffet is also great and was included in my reservation. Visiting the steakhouse is a must , it is a tad pricey but worth the expenditure. Miyazaki is known for its beef and chicken. My only negative comment pertains to showers in the standard rooms (there are three kinds of rooms). The showers are very dated, have a weird smell and the shower heads are what you would normally find  in a bathroom from the 70s. The rooms are spacious and clean. However, if I had known the showers and tub were so old I would have upgraded to a deluxe room. Overall the hotel is great and it is well priced for its amenities.

The hotel was simple and clean. If you put up the do not disturb sign they didn't always give you new towels everyday. So, it became tedious to ask for them everyday. Otherwise, it was a good place to stay both longterm and shortterm. Room service cleaning was done meticulously so that was appreciated. Breakfast was simple and good. Most of the staff was friendly and welcoming.

This is the best decision I’ve made during my trip in Miyazaki. I should have stayed longer here than I did in the previous booking. Almost everything is almost perfect, from the artificial hot spring to the traditional Japanese bedrooms, which are great additions to the Japanese experience. I believe it is one of the most affordable hotels in the area. The breakfast is a buffet that is included in my stay, and I had to add the Dinner buffet, which is very worth the price since the place doesn't have many restaurants nearby. The hotel is also within a 5-10 minute walk from the JR train station. The staff are also friendly. I definitely will be back here when I revisit Miyazaki soon. The day I visited was rainy, so I was unable to visit many places.

Lovely hotel, staff friendly and welcoming. Great location and clean and tidy. Our room was large and spacious for Japan and very clean. Parking on site but full when we arrived so used the public park across the road.

The whole house is huge, and it can actually accommodate four people. Two rooms have tatami mats. If two people live, the next room will be a tatami living room. There is a kitchen where you can cook your own food, there is a large supermarket nearby, and the washing machine has a drying function, but it takes three hours to wash it at a time. Because the house is too big, and then I was scared by the old man and said that you dare to live in the old house. Suddenly I became scared, and I couldn't sleep peacefully all night. It is better to remove the scary painting in the bedroom. After all, behind is the ancient city of Tifei, and there are still many celebrities living in the old residences, which is still a bit scary to think about. But apart from these, the house is still very good. The kitchen and living room are too life-like. There are a lot of personal items such as stereos and so on. It feels like sharing with the owner. Personal opinions, please forgive me if I don’t say anything wrong.

The morning breakfast is as expected of a typical Jap hotel & ends at 830am, kind of early. The location is 5 bus stops, roughly 1.2km, away from Miyazaki JR station. Although there’s a mini separate gender hot pool onsen to enjoy but it operates till 930pm, kind of early too. But I do see some using beyond 930pm so not sure if that’s the norm. Plus point are (1) soft pillow choices at lift lobby to bring up for extra usage, (2) hot & cold drinks 24 hrs & (3) hotel is located within shopping belt. There’s no key card but given a paper that contains PIN number to open your hotel room door. Room is very clean but small for 2 luggages. 

This was my first stay here, as I was visiting Takachiho Gorge. While I found it a bit pricey for just a place to sleep, especially with no large public bath, the location was superb and the room was spacious, so overall I was pleased. The breakfast had limited variety and was just average, so I'd probably opt for no breakfast next time. The hotel staff were all very kind. I was happy to find plush, disposable slippers. For dinner, I had Takachiho beef at 'Wa,' a restaurant directly managed by JA Miyazaki, which is right in front of the hotel. The location was perfect, as it was also just a short walk to Takachiho Shrine. In the morning, I walked to the boat rental area. The uphill walk was tough, but it was worth it as the parking lots were full. Takachiho Gorge gave me such good energy, I'd love to visit again someday.
