„Świetna lokalizacja, krótki spacer do metra i wschodniej ulicy handlowej Nanjing Road. W pobliżu wiele małych restauracji. To bardzo ruchliwa okolica, byliśmy na 8. piętrze i nie przeszkadzał nam hałas w nocy. Personel hotelu był pomocny. Rozmiar pokoju był nieco mniejszy niż w innych miastach, ale nadal wygodny. Inteligentna automatyzacja ze sterowaniem głosowym w pokoju była świetna. Niektóre elementy wyposażenia, takie jak drzwi prysznicowe i umywalka, są trochę stare, zardzewiałe na dole, ale działają normalnie. „NIE polecam tego hotelu; nie przyjeżdżaj, jeśli jesteś niepełnosprawny, stary lub poruszasz się na wózku inwalidzkim. Przyjechałem z moją ciocią i wiele pokoi nie jest dostępnych windą. Obliczyłem i gdy wchodzisz na dół, zajęło mi 4 minuty spacerem, aby dostać się do pokoju, który jest ogromny w porównaniu do innych hoteli. Mała ławka przy wejściu była poplamiona. W ścianach są dziury. Pokój w ogóle nie wygląda jak na zdjęciach!! I jest dość ciemno, nawet gdy wszystkie światła są włączone. Jest szklane okno między prysznicem a łóżkiem, przez co prysznic jest bardzo niewygodny (ten w łóżku widzi cię nawet przy opuszczonej zasłonie, ponieważ nie jest wystarczająco gruba). Śniadanie było ok, ale raz był brudny talerz, próbowałem oddać go kelnerowi, ale ona po prostu kazała mi go użyć. Co miałem z nim zrobić, odłożyć dla innych? Maty na korytarzach wcale nie są luksusowe. Hol rzeczywiście jest, ale nie pokoje, nie wszystkie są warte zdjęć. Należy pamiętać, że na górze, gdzie byłem, jest około 40 pokoi, w których prawdopodobnie zostaniesz zakwaterowany, potrzebujesz 2 różnych wind i przejdziesz jedno piętro. Inne tańsze hotele w Szanghaju sprawią, że poczujesz się bardziej jak w „ekskluzywnym” hotelu. Moim zdaniem cena nie jest uzasadniona. Dziękuję paniom sprzątającym, które zawsze były tak miłe.”

Uwielbiam wystrój pokoju, ogromna przestrzeń na 2 duże bagaże i bagaż podręczny, a mimo to jest przestronny chodnik. Okno jest zasłonięte siatką, która zapobiega wizytom komarów 😛, a mimo to można poczuć chłodny klimat Szanghaju.
Najbardziej imponującym personelem jest pani 葛强芬 w jadalni na 2. piętrze, pracowita w recepcji, szybkie sprzątanie, nalewanie wody do ekspresu do kawy, uzupełnianie jedzenia i sprawdzanie naszych potrzeb. Zostawiłem kurtkę, a ona trzymała ją dla mnie do mojej wizyty następnego dnia. 😍
Nieograniczona ilość wody pitnej, schłodzonej lub ciepłej, według uznania. Ciepła herbata kwiatowa serwowana w lobby też jest fajna! Bezpłatny napój w puszce w lodówce.

„The rooms are what make the place nice and unique. I booked a normal room but once I saw the cave room when I got there I actually asked to change rooms. The attention to detail of a caveman experience was really good. I was impressed with the drawings and they even have outfits on if you want to have some fun and take pics. It is pet friendly with a 200rmb cleaning fee. Super close to the airport - 12 minute drive. There is a burger king, pizza hut and starbucks outside, with some local restaurants as well as a supermarket. This hotel isn't near the city so it just depends what your needs are. The breakfast in the morning I feel could be better. The coffee machine was not the best and the taste was not good. The desserts seemed to have no sugar in it. The local cuisine was good but not many western options. Bread, croissants, omelet, bacon and some fruit mostly. The breakfast area is beautiful. love how they have set it up. The gym has good equipment. The service of the people working there were fantastic.”

She proactively called me before check-in to carefully ask about my needs, and her demeanor was warm and considerate. After connecting on WeChat, she promptly responded to all my inquiries, from check-in details to various last-minute requests, always arranging everything perfectly. I didn't have to worry about a thing throughout my stay.
The check-in process upon arrival was smooth and efficient. The overall environment was clean and comfortable, and both the soft and hard amenities were excellent. The staff as a whole were highly professional. From the initial communication and assistance during my stay to the seamless overall service, everything was spot-on, making me feel genuinely cared for. It was a completely pleasant and worry-free experience. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel again if I'm back in the area. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserOur stay was incredibly comfortable. The room was clean and tidy with a great view. Our butlers, Deslin and Lily, provided attentive and thoughtful service, proactively following up on all our needs and responding quickly. Any issues we had were promptly and properly resolved. Their considerate care was just right, and the cleaning was very timely, with towels replaced swiftly. This made the whole trip feel very pleasant and is highly recommended. It's also worth mentioning that the cleaning staff on our floor on the morning of our departure were very friendly, once again highlighting the hotel's meticulous service. I hope the hotel can pay attention to the showerhead and sink faucet in the room, as the water pressure is too strong and often splashes out, getting clothes wet.
The room offers a different Banyan Tree themed incense or essential oil (optional) daily.

The room facilities are very comprehensive, including a luxurious gym and swimming pool. The service attitude was also fantastic; Melody arranged a really great room for us during check-in. The bedding was clean, and the room was spacious.

NNingmengfengmiyouzinaiTraveling to Shanghai with my family for the May Day holiday, we chose to stay at the Yangtze Hotel, and instantly, we were transported back to the glamorous old Shanghai of yesteryear 🌃. This historic building, dating back to 1933, is incredibly charming. The colorful dome in the lobby and the vintage carved details everywhere exude an air of elegance. It boasts a prime location in the city center, with convenient subway access to all parts of the city and numerous shopping districts nearby. In the mornings, we enjoyed watching the city come alive, and in the evenings, we'd lean on the balcony, admiring the night view. It was so peaceful and relaxing, washing away all the fatigue from our travels – truly the most healing sanctuary for our May Day trip to Shanghai. The breakfast was varied and delicious, and there were more foreign guests than Chinese, making it feel like we were abroad.

The man at the front desk also helped me order food even though it was late at night and found me a restaurant that was open, I really appreciated that. QQianlifujiHad a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to transportation. While the room facilities aren't the newest, the bedding was comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. The front desk staff were quite friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Overall, the hotel's environment and cleanliness are far superior to express hotels in the same price range. Highly recommend.

KKL01I chose this hotel to try out the Regent experience. As a Platinum member, my room was upgraded to a Pearl View room, which had a fantastic view. I even watched a game at night; the TV was a bit small but acceptable. Food delivery can reach the front desk, but not the room itself, so I had to go downstairs to pick it up.
The bathroom was very clean, and I appreciated that the bath mat was already laid out. My only minor issue was that the hairdryer plug didn't fit the bathroom outlet, so I had to use the universal outlet by the desk outside, which was a bit odd.
For breakfast, the variety wasn't extensive but acceptable. I was surprised there wasn't a live egg station.
Regarding service, the doorman was helpful in opening the car door, which was a plus. However, being rushed during checkout was quite disruptive to the experience. The hotel called exactly at 12 PM to urge me to check out. I understood that the hotel might have had high occupancy that day, so I negotiated a checkout time of around 1 PM. Yet, the hotel called twice more at around 1 PM and 1:04 PM, which felt a bit intrusive, especially since Platinum members are entitled to a late checkout until 2 PM, something the hotel had also communicated to me. I hope they improve on this next time.
I was supposed to receive a complimentary in-room bubble bath experience once per stay, but I didn't get it. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication between Trip.com and the hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel is as central as you can get in Shanghai and is in a beautiful and historic old building that dates from early last century. It is surrounded by restaurants, has a metro line around the corner and has a theatre and even a Starbucks on its doorstep (which compensates a little for not having breakfast available in the hotel).
My room was very spacious and well equipped with a powerful rain-shower and small bath, tea and coffee making facilities, a very comfortable bed and excellent wi-fi. The room and hotel in general is a little dated but doesn’t suffer from this. The reception on the first floor is nicely appointed and is accessed via a lift or beautiful stone staircase from street level. Staff are very helpful and welcoming.
Rooms are quiet given the roadside proximity and I slept soundly each night. The Bund was about a 25 minute walk at night and there were lots of malls and restaurants to choose from just a stroll from the hotel itself- we ate at a Turkish-style bistro about 10 minutes walk away on the first night which was great value, and had a real buzz. There are also some nice bars nearby for a late night drink before bed. Overall, I would highly recommend as a weekend stopover option for central Shanghai, with metro accessibility and lots to do nearby.

PPianpianxihuanniyaThis was my first time staying at the Star River Hotel. The event organizer held a conference here, and the overall style reminded me of Macau, with a strong Victorian feel and a luxurious ambiance. You can tell the hotel has been around for some years, but the facilities are very well-maintained. The entrance/exit to the underground parking is too narrow, which isn't very friendly for large luxury cars (D-segment vehicles). The breakfast was quite rich and good, too.
