”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions. The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Our stay at Yokikan was simply wonderful. The Japanese-style room was spacious and comfortable, and sleeping on the futons was surprisingly restful. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent - the kaiseki meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The highlight was definitely the bathing complex. The indoor baths and the open-air onsen at the top, reached by the hotel's unique mountain funicular, were nice. Soaking in the hot water while enjoying the panoramic views was pure bliss. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would love to return.

The location right in front of the sea offered absolutely fantastic views. However, there were some signs of deterioration, such as doors that wouldn't close due to rust and areas where the concrete was peeling off, which was a bit worrying. The food and service were excellent, so the facilities were the only slight disappointment.

As a nuclear family, our main requirement when searching for a hotel was a triple room. Most Western-style accommodations that offered triple occupancy within our budget tended to provide a twin room with an extra rollaway bed. However, what sealed the deal for us with Villagiou was that they actually had rooms (Superior Triple) with three proper single beds of the same style. We booked it right away. Staying in Room 403, we found it to be a comfortably spacious room with absolutely no cramped feeling. The three beds were lined up side-by-side, which was great as our family could relax on our own beds while still chatting. The room also had a mini-fridge, which was super convenient for chilling refrigerated souvenirs like 'Atami Pudding' and 'Wasabi-zuke' that we bought early on. By the way, it easily fit 9 'Atami Puddings'! Although we didn't use it because of the rainy weather during our stay, the room also had a balcony. It was equipped with a small table, two chairs with backrests, and two pairs of slippers specifically for the balcony.

A wonderful hotel that makes you want to return again and again. We were absolutely delighted with our trip! The main advantages are the incredible seclusion, the amazing surrounding nature, and the captivating beautiful view that you can admire endlessly, plus excellent transfer service. The room is simply stunning: stylish, cozy, and impeccably clean. The local onsen is a special treat; bathing in it is wonderfully relaxing and brings a sense of complete tranquility. The culinary experience deserves the highest praise. The wonderful dinner in traditional Japanese style was a true gastronomic discovery, and breakfast was very tasty and filling. Huge thanks to all the staff for their very polite, attentive, and warm hospitality. We loved everything and didn't want to leave. We will definitely come back here again! Thank you!

The room is quite spacious, though the decor is a bit dated. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on a hill, but there's a shuttle bus service to and from Shimoda Station. It's not very convenient for buying food, so you'll likely need to dine at the hotel for all three meals. On the plus side, the hotel's food quality is excellent, with great ingredients and presentation! The hotel also offers convenient access to various beaches.

A hotel full of Showa-era retro charm. The building and rooms are undeniably old, but I had no complaints. The food was average; those who eat a lot or children would probably be satisfied. The Roman bath, which is a big selling point, was spacious, and while there were quite a few people, it didn't bother me. If you can stay at a good price using coupons or similar, I'd consider visiting again.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Ittouan. The experience was exceptional from beginning to end. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They noticed us from far away and immediately came to help carry our luggage. One of the staff members, a lovely young lady who spoke excellent English, was especially helpful and made communication very easy. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name, but I would like to thank her again. We booked both dinner and breakfast, and the meals were fantastic. The ingredients were very fresh and the variety was impressive. Every dish was different and beautifully prepared. However, for two women like us, the portions were honestly quite generous — even sharing one meal between two people might have been enough! The location is excellent. The hotel provides a free shuttle to Kawazu Station, which makes it extremely convenient for visiting the Kawazu cherry blossoms. It is also very close to the beautiful coastline, so the surroundings are lovely. Our room had a private onsen bath where we could soak while enjoying the view of cherry blossoms, which was a truly special experience. There is also a larger private bath available by reservation (free of charge). We also tried the hot stone spa, which was incredibly effective in relieving the fatigue after my marathon. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. I would love to come back again in the future, hopefully with my family. 一灯庵で本当に素晴らしい滞在をさせていただきました。最初から最後までとても心温まる体験でした。 到着したとき、スタッフの皆さまは遠くから私たちに気づいてくださり、すぐに荷物を運ぶのを手伝ってくださいました。その心遣いにとても感動しました。特に英語がとても上手な可愛らしい女性スタッフの方がいらっしゃって、丁寧に対応してくださり安心して滞在することができました。残念ながらお名前を伺うのを忘れてしまいましたが、この場を借りて改めて感謝をお伝えしたいです。 夕食と朝食の両方をお願いしましたが、お料理はどれも本当に素晴らしかったです。食材はとても新鮮で、品数も多く、一つ一つ丁寧に作られているのが伝わってきました。すべて違う料理で楽しませていただきました。ただ、私たち二人（女性）には少し量が多く、とても贅沢なボリュームでした。 立地もとても良く、河津駅まで無料の送迎があるので河津桜を見に行くのにもとても便利でした。また、美しい海岸も近く、散歩するだけでもとても気持ちの良い場所でした。 お部屋の温泉では桜を眺めながらゆっくり入ることができ、とても特別な時間を過ごすことができました。また、無料で予約できる貸切風呂もあり、温泉を存分に楽しめました。さらにホットストーンスパも利用しましたが、マラソンを走った後の疲れが本当に和らぎ、とてもリラックスできました。 スタッフの皆さまの温かいおもてなしのおかげで、忘れられない滞在になりました。ぜひまた家族と一緒に訪れたいと思います。本当にありがとうございました。

The hotel was very clean, and the food was absolutely delicious. The hot springs were also wonderful, probably because it was a weekday and not crowded. I highly recommend getting the dinner plan. For breakfast, we were able to have it in our room, which allowed for a very relaxed start to the day. As other reviewers mentioned, the坂道 (steep hill) up to the hotel was quite something. We went by car, and at one point, we encountered another car coming down in a curving tunnel. Since uphill traffic has priority, the other car had to back up the hill to let us pass. After arriving, we enjoyed walking to the shopping street in front of the station, but on the way back to the hotel, we took a taxi from the station. Even the taxi driver radioed ahead to another taxi waiting at the top of the hill to hold their position before starting the ascent. It would be great if there were traffic lights at the top and bottom. There aren't many cars coming and going, so we just hoped there wouldn't be any oncoming traffic on our way back.

Booked two triple rooms. The rooms are a bit small but well-equipped. The breakfast is delicious, and the bathhouse is also great 👍. The location is convenient—within walking distance to the Outlet mall, though the shops close at 8 PM, so there wasn't enough time to explore!
