„Hotel located exactly at dukezong city with the windows overlooking songzanlin monestary. Owner is knowledgeable and accommodating. Really nice guy. He speaks really good English! Told us he used to teach English, a tour guide and also experienced photographer~. He show us comparison of 18 years ago dukezong from his photo album and current dukezong. Told us story how Shangrila name come about. We chats about his cats, one particular kitten named Puma is very naughty. Enjoyed being in his lobby where he set up the fireplace and the cats getting heat there. At lobby there's peanut and walnut on the table, we able to enjoy them while chit chatting. I really enjoyed being in this boutique hotel. All his staff can speak simple English too~ The bed is warm and toasty. I feel it's a blessing when we check in, it was snowing lightly as well. I can see owner have great personality and an animal lover. If I ever visit Shangrila I will surely extend my stay in this hotel; just to have story time with the owner. ❤️”

„I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.”

Poza tym, i to jest powód, dla którego myślę, że pracownicy są naprawdę wyjątkowi, pomogli mi odzyskać moją zgubioną walizkę z lotniska po przybyciu do hotelu, i nie musiałem się o nic martwić. Pomogli mi również zarezerwować bilety na górę śnieżną i potwierdzić lokalizacje DIDI. Zamówili również lekarstwo ze apteki, bo nie wiedziałem, jak to zrobić. I wreszcie, są one naprawdę najsłodszymi ludźmi, które kiedykolwiek spotkasz, i tak bardzo pomocne. Polecam ten hotel 1000000%.”

„The room had a projector, and the B&B even had streaming service memberships for binge-watching, which was great! You could see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the room, and it was cleaned very well. The owner was super enthusiastic and helped us with our luggage (even braving the rain to do so, many thanks!). The watermelon was also very sweet, and all the facilities were excellent. The third-floor viewing deck had amazing scenery, with a beautiful blue pool and lovely tables and coffee tables. The view was expansive, perfect for seeing Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and made for some fantastic photos.”

Location walking distance to Baisha Ancient Town and just a short drive if you take Didi. I took Didi to Yulong Snow Mountain from this hotel. Welcome fruits, complimentary breakfast and gifts are so thoughtful. I get to taste local snack, fruit and delicacies. „酒店很新，房間很乾凈，佈置的也非常温馨，晚上睡覺很安靜，早餐也是不錯的，退店時還有特產鮮花餅贈送，這是住酒店那麼多年第一次遇到的，很暖心。但是房間的貓眼從外面可以模糊的看到房間裏面，需要改善一下這個問題，6樓的洗衣房最好能像如家酒店一樣洗衣液是提前預製好的，不需要住客自己加，我發現有些住客可能不知一次要放多少洗衣液，倒多了，等到衣服在脱水時洗衣機的蓋子上還有很多泡泡”

„This guesthouse is just a few minutes' walk from Baisha Ancient Town, making its location superb (plenty of dining options and easy access to delivery services). It's also very quiet at night. When it rained in Lijiang, the hotel even had a billiard room, which was a great way to relax. The courtyard's flowers and plants are meticulously maintained, and there are several courtyards, a treehouse, and a viewing platform on the third floor, all very well-designed and perfect for photos. The rooms are well-lit, and you can see the snow-capped mountains just by opening the curtains; on clear days, you can even witness the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunshine' phenomenon. The hotel's food is excellent, and during our stay, coffee, juice, and tea were available on tap, all of high quality. In the evenings, there were small bonfire activities, and the staff were very responsive. The rooms are clean and equipped with washing and drying machines, and the staff even helped with laundry, which was incredibly convenient for changing clothes during our travels. I loved it; overall, it was a very comfortable stay.”
