"We visited Fez for the first time and booked this Riad with intention to experience the Medina in traditional lodgings. The experience could have not been more disappointing. Having paid more than 320 euros per night we were expecting a Riad well maintained and high standards in the facilities. What we encountered was a 2* hotel equivalent facilities with only the courtyard worth a mention. Furniture in the room was old and lacking any charm. Common areas , except the courtyard, were very dark and substandard. Positive highlight was the friendly staff who did their best. But unfortunately that was not enough. The Riad is located in the lower part of the Medina, among narrow and dark alleys with rubbish and works which made accessing the property a daunting experience. Also very far from any parking area to access taxis. We visited other Raids for dinner in Fez which clearly offered charm and comfort. Our Road in Marrakech was as expected, full of charm and quality facilities, fit the same price! I would not stay again in this Riad for even half the price of what we paid. To be avoided."

"The Riad has beautiful traditional decoration and a strong local atmosphere, making it a good place to experience Moroccan-style accommodation. However, the location is quite difficult to find, and some locals may try to scam visitors by claiming the road is closed and offering to guide them for tips. The hotel facilities also have some limitations. The sound insulation is quite poor, and hearing arguments from neighbouring houses late at night was not a pleasant experience. There were also occasional unpleasant smells in the bathroom, the TV in the room was not working, the actual check-in time was delayed due to room cleaning, and there were many flies around during breakfast in the rooftop restaurant. Overall, considering the price, the Riad may be considered above the local average standard, but there is still a noticeable gap compared with international accommodation standards. It is worth staying for one night to experience the local style, but I would not recommend a longer stay."

"We stayed at the Dar for two nights. They told us that on the second night they would change our room and that we should leave everything ready. We went to explore Fes, and when we returned that evening, we found we had the same room, but to our surprise, it hadn't been cleaned. The beds were unmade, the trash can was overflowing, and no one had even been inside. We went out for a night to another city, and upon our return, they gave us a different room and again told us that on the last night they would change our room. This time it was true. When we arrived that night, our suitcases were in the hallway of the room we had stayed in the previous night, and the new room was even further up. They gave us a room with three single beds and only provided one bedspread and a small blanket. I was cold that night, and all the light streamed in through the windows since there were no curtains. I had a bad experience at this Dar; the room organization was poor. The boy who served us breakfast and helped us with our suitcases was very nice, but otherwise, I have nothing good to say."

PS: spędzam mnóstwo nocy w hotelu w całym Maroku przynajmniej raz w tygodniu przez cały rok."

Musieliśmy wyjechać wcześnie na drugi dzień i nie mogliśmy zostać na śniadanie, więc przygotował dla nas śniadanie. Był bardzo ostrożnie zapakowany i idealny na drogę. Bardzo nas dotknęła ta miła łaska. Bardzo zalecane! Położenie jest dobre, jest w środku medyny, pokój jest czysty, klimatyzacja jest dobra, śniadanie jest bogate i pyszne. Jedynym niedociągnięciem jest trochę mniej gorącej wody, ale temperatura wody jest dobra. Dziękuję, że wyszliśmy wcześniej, aby nam pomóc przygotować śniadanie, bardzo ostrożne i entuzjastyczne, bardzo podniecające."

The room was beautiful, with every comfort; it's like a little palace! It's about a 10-minute walk from the Medina. I highly recommend it!"
