With an outside temperature of several degrees minus, we were glad to find our room well warmed up upon arrival. The room was really clean, the beds comfortable and the host friendly and helpful. We recommend this as an ideal stay to explore the Great Wall section of Jinshanling, especially as the entrance is just a 5-minutes walk away.

I don't normally bother to write reviews, but this place is truly deserving of one. Our stay at Anaya was amazing to say the least. The place was so beautiful and serene, rivaling many of the luxury ryokans in Japan but with their own modern twist. We stayed in the queen room, and it’s fairly simple but more than adequate and comfortable. The in-room drinks and snacks were delicious, and they provided an additional special treat each day, which was an experience on its own. There wasn't a television, but we never felt that there was a need for one. It was a place where you can truly focus on unwinding and take things slow, but when needed, the Wi-Fi speed is sufficient for streaming on your own devices. The hotel is unique where you can just do everything within their compounds without needing to travel anywhere else. We really loved the Japanese bookstore, which is a must-visit, and spend some time admiring the garden next to it. They provide activities as well, so you will never feel like there is nothing to do. The spas are also highly recommended, which in fact warrants a trip all on its own even if you do not stay at the hotel. One of the spas is a re-purposed factory, and it's a truly unique experience which will appeal to architecture enthusiasts. Food was a little pricey, but you have a lot of options, and the ones we had were great. They even had their own provision shop for you to stock up on snacks and drinks. One of the main factors that truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service from Zhi Hui. She went above and beyond to share her personal contact in order to make sure we were well taken care of, answering our questions promptly and making arrangements for us. She even followed up with us after our departure to make sure we arrived at our next destination safely. The other staff around the hotel, including the restaurants, were also very friendly and helpful. There was even a sweet young lady selling what they harvested from the mountains as well as small snack stores, one of which was operated by a very friendly lady selling Japanese-style desserts. Our interactions with the people all felt really genuine and sincere. The experience wouldn't have been so wonderful if it weren't for our very pleasant experience with the people working in and around the hotel. They normally use a multi-seater buggy to ferry guests around, but when we were caught in the rain, they actually arranged a car to pick us up instead. Anaya Lanya Hotel is simply extraordinary, and we cannot recommend it enough.

Impressive. Excellent services.love to compliement all the staff we due it’s during our 8 days stay in Chengde. During check out the staff help us with our luggage And ran across the street to call us a-taxi very warming gesture. Room is clean and beautifully designed. Located just near chengde railway station. Food and shopping easily accessible.

Went with my wife during the October 7 day holiday . Our normal go to place was the Phoenix hotel that was booked. Place was ok. I say a 3.5/5 Service was good they told us about some tours they offer discounts on and a cool show about an emperor that has like 300 actors in it. Was cheaper than just buying it at the location I booked this because my wife said it was more “central” it was not. Kind of in the middle of nowhere tho near a temple we did visit. The other hotels are near the river and you can walk and see some real nice bridges and lighted up streets. The photos make the building look really cool. While the photos aren’t fake it’s way smaller than I thought it would be. The room itself was kind of small. Like half the size of the phoenix hotel and is only 4 floors so not much of a view. Mine was of a parking lot. Bathroom was nice the toilet was automatic and had a heated seat. No breakfast. Bed wasn’t all that comfortable and not much of a view. Did have a shopping center next door and taxis stopped near it. Kind of pricey but that was because of the 7 day holiday they had. I stayed at phoenix the week before and it was 200 rnb cheaper, nicer, more modern, twice the size, nicer shampoo/soap and had free breakfast.

Hotel Breakfast to świetny wybór i miałem przyjemność spotkać się z panem Stephenem Yangiem, dyrektorem generalnym przez przypadek. Jest tak przyjazny i wesoły, wyjaśniając, gdzie iść i co zobaczyć. To może wyjaśniać, że jego wskazówki są naprawdę skuteczne dla zespołu zarządzającego tym hotelem. Gorąco polecam na rodzinne spotkania lub relaksujący wyjazd wakacyjny w tym konkretnym obiekcie hotelowym.

Super beautifully located in the middle of nature. Lovely hosts, very friendly taking care of everything. Great pool! Delicious food that you can enjoy in the nice yard.

Gorąco polecam pobyt w tym hotelu podczas wspinaczki na Wielki Mur. Obiekt położony jest bardzo blisko wejścia do obszaru widokowego, zaledwie kilka kroków od obiektu. Dzięki temu zakwaterowaniu samochodem można wjechać w malownicze rejony. Oszczędza mnóstwo energii. W przeciwnym razie będziesz musiał przejść długą drogę, aby dotrzeć do kasy biletowej. Ciocia była bardzo miła i pomogła nam wnieść bagaże na górę. Przepraszam bardzo. Nie jestem już młody i znów muszę cię niepokoić. Kilka razy próbowałem okraść, ale nie udało mi się wygrać. Dziecko niechcący pobrudziło pościel i chcieliśmy ją wyprać, ale ciocia próbowała nas powstrzymać. Powiedz nam, że przyjazd tutaj jest jak powrót do domu. Czuję się bardzo przyjaźnie. Można spróbować także niektórych specjałów wiejskich, w szczególności pysznych potraw przygotowywanych przez ciotkę. Następnym razem, gdy przyjadę wspinać się na Wielki Mur, na pewno zatrzymam się w domu mojej ciotki.

Albergo situato alle porte della Jianshanling scenic area (20 min a piedi fino all’entrata dove si può iniziare la scalata per arrivare alla muraglia) Per arrivare noi abbiamo optato per un treno da Beijingbei a Gubeikou e poi organizzato con host un transfer. Host molto gentile e accogliente che ci ha offerto anche un upgrade gratuito🙃. L’albergo è pulito e accogliente con il ristorante al piano terra comodo perché intorno non c’è niente. Cibo buono e ad un prezzo giusto. Grazie ci tornerei 😊

The only hotel inside the jinshanling great wall. Next to the entrance of the ticket and cable car station. Only 1 Chinese restaurant that served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices of the food are reasonable and portions are huge. Room is as per the picture. We have 2 rooms, 1 facing car park and 1 mountain. No greatwall view as is hidden behind the mountain. Service is excellent, they will provide pick up service from tourist centre and east gate entrance. We walked from the central to the east and contacted them via WeChat to pick us up from there. When we checked out, they told them we wanted to go a restaurant near the tourist centre, they did the extra mile to send us there instead of just alighting at the tourist centre. Staff are extra friendly. I saw them looking for 4 guests who dine at the restaurant the night before who dropped at 100yuan. The next morning when we were there for breakfast, they checked whether did we sat at the table for dinner last night. They were still searching for the guests to return the money. Super honest! However, cleanliness can be improved, the ceiling fan was super dusty. Behind the hotel, next to the greatwall entrance, there are some farmers restaurants and mingshu too.

The hotel boasts a beautiful environment and fresh air, and both the facilities and cleanliness are impeccable. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious. Overall, the service was satisfactory. However, I have to complain about a front desk staff member who answered the phone between 7 and 10 PM on the 31st. The first time I reported the washing machine wasn't working, she actually told me it was leaking and advised me not to use it. I ended up fixing and using it myself. The second time I called about the shower water not getting hot, her response was even more ridiculous: she told me to just keep running the water until it got hot. I wasted nearly half an hour, and the water never got warm. In the end, a housekeeping staff member came and simply inserted the gas card, which solved the problem. What's worse is her terrible attitude; she was argumentative and refused to admit her incompetence in handling issues, acting as if she knew everything. She definitely deserves a bad review! On another note, the hotel is very close to Jinshanling Great Wall, which is absolutely worth a visit!
