Bathroom is clean and new. The senior staff at breakfast was helpful. However one of the bed is not made properly. The bed sheet cover for that bed was old and not long enough to cover the duvet. Felt very odd. Hotel itself is a 10-15mins walk to promenade/ seaside.

It was a very satisfying hotel. The location is near Plitvice Lake Park, so it's easy to walk there. The staff were so kind that I felt really good from the moment I checked in. The room condition was clean. It's made of wood, so it doesn't feel modern, but it matches the place perfectly. Fortunately, it was on the first floor, so it was easy to move luggage, but if it's on the second floor, there are stairs, so it might be a little inconvenient. Also, there's a playground, farm, and outdoor terrace, so you can enjoy yourself at the hotel. There's also a play area where you can play billiards and darts, so it was nice to spend the evening after visiting the lake. Breakfast was also great.

整體而言還算不錯，該有的設施都有，但都不算太好，硬體偏舊，桑拿房小小的，泳池也是小小的一角。 自助餐的部分建議開放時間一到就要進去吃，不然選項似乎會少很多，如果不想去人擠人也可以吃對面的點餐餐廳，離飯店不遠（走路十分鐘）也還有兩家餐廳可以選擇。 位置非常方便，距離公車站有一小段（走路十三分鐘），但要離開時還可以預約接駁車到公車站少走一段。 離國家公園只要走路六分鐘就到入口這點很讚，並且在這邊入住只要有印出門票，還可以免費延長一天，光是這點就值回票價。

Das Hotel In Excelsis liegt etwas auserhalb der Stadt Novalja, wir mochten es aber sehr, da die Küste nach 5min Fußweg erreichbar ist und es genug Parkplätze gibt. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer und der Poolanlage ist erste Klasse! Das Spa macht unglaublich Spaß, unbegrenzt Handtücher sind vorhanden. Das Frühstück könnte ausgewogener sein, aber es reicht aus. Leider hatten wir ein Insekten Problem, so hatten wir schon 4 Mücken und 2 Motten erschlagen, dann haben wir eine Armeisenstraße zwischen einem Bett und der Balkontür gefunden, nach einer Beschwerde bei der Rezeption konnten wir um 1 Uhr Nachts das Zimmer wechseln. Das Personal und der Service ist sehr freundlich.

Bbusiness as usual…The location is the best as it is right in front of Plitvice Lakes. The hotel provides admission tickets to the lakes for guests, but you have to purchase the first ticket. We stayed for one night and visited twice, each taking an opposite route.

GGuest UserThe Hotel In Excelsis is located just outside the town of Novalja, but we really liked it because the coast is a 5-minute walk away and there's plenty of parking. The rooms and pool area are first-class! The spa is incredibly enjoyable, and there are unlimited towels. The breakfast could be more varied, but it's adequate. Unfortunately, we had an insect problem; we had already swatted four mosquitoes and two moths, and then we found a trail of ants between the bed and the balcony door. After complaining at reception, we were able to change rooms at 1 a.m. The staff and service are very friendly.
