For those who grew up on Chinese novels, you'll be disappointed. Most novels describe how the Mongols attached XiangYang on horseback. But if you see view from the city walls, you'll realise it's protected from all sides, especially the north, by the 800m wide Han river. No way that the Mongol horses could have swam 800m while under fire from the arrows on XiangYang.”

„Booked a night with Starway Hotel as I arrived on a late flight. The location is really great, just a short walk (＜ 10mins) from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport T3 Arrival Hall! It is also very near the metro which is so convenient. The receptionist is very friendly and she processed our registration fast with no fuss! The room is very huge compared to a typical hotel! Clean and comfortable! Had a very restful sleep We had breakfast buffet which have a good variety of Chinese food. On top of the buffet, there’s a noodle station where you can order beef noodles, zhajiangmian (see pic) etc. There is even a laundry room with washing machines! Highly recommend Starway Hotel!”

„The owners were very attentive; their place is newly built, so the facilities are quite new. However, the country roads after exiting the highway were a bit difficult to drive on rainy nights. The owners offer free pick-up and drop-off at the scenic area and can help buy boat tickets. Unfortunately, we drove for two hours, stayed overnight, and the next day Pingshan Grand Canyon was closed. That was the biggest regret of the trip. The owners were great, and I'll definitely come back next time.”

The overall experience far exceeds expectations and is very suitable for business travel choices. Xiaoding at the front desk was very efficient at check-in, the staff was professional and gentle, and took the initiative to inform the breakfast, gym, self-service laundry room location. The 24-hour front desk arrived late at night and was at ease. The rooms are spacious, the wet and dry separation bathroom is clean and odorless, the desk and chair size is suitable, the sound insulation effect is excellent at night, the corridor and road noise are completely not heard, the mattress is moderately hard and soft, and the rest is very good at night.

1. Hotel location is perfect as the Three Gorges Tourist Center is just diagonal opposite the hotel, and Wanda Shopping Mall is also just next to it. 2. The hotel is new, and the smell of the new wooden furniture is too strong and I guess that's why some of the doors of the unoccupied room (included mine) were open which I personally felt a bit uncomfortable as any guess may just step in to any room to do something silly. 3. I stayed for 3 nights, and 1st 2 nights was ok but on the 3rd night, someone checked-in and occupied next to my room, I was in the middle of my sleep and suddenly a piercing sound entered my ears, the sound last for almost 1 min and it seems not ending and so I contacted the counter to seek for help, the counter staff explained that the location of the toilet of room# 1310 is next to the bedframe of room# 1309, they can send me the ear plug for time being and let me change the room the next day. I told them I will be checking out the next day and I am not use to sleep with an ear plug, I hope the sound will end soon and I also tell the staff to escalate this matter up. During my check-out, the counter staff had asked how was my stay and I told her the incident too. I told her that I am not happy especially when the hotel said they can help me to change the room on the next day, my comment was if the hotel already know of this problem, so why are they still arrange guest to stay in room# 1310?? At the end of the day, I am being given some snacks and small souvenirs and 2 bottles of mineral water as compensation. My question to the hotel: why put the blame on the design/layout and not employee training?? Why you know this is the problem but yet still allow the problematic room to be occupied? For the seek of the reputation of the hotel, please shut down the problematic room until you fixed the problem!

This was my second visit to Wuhan, and I chose this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect. It's situated in the Li Huangpi Road area, offering direct access to Hankou Riverside Park on foot. Within minutes, you can walk to Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, Bagong House, and Jianghan Customs Clock Tower. Exploring old streets, watching light shows, and trying out local food can mostly be done on foot, making getting around incredibly convenient and stress-free. We opted for the split-level loft room type. The overall decor has a simple industrial feel, with spacious and airy interiors. The design is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The common areas are beautifully styled, making them perfect for photos. It was a very comfortable stay.

This hotel/retreat is an incredibly special place, and I feel so grateful to have come across it in my travels, as it will hold a special place in my memory! I have a strong feeling that I will be back (possibly many times!) in the future. I cannot say enough good things about it, whether it be the beautiful architectural design of the buildings and landscaping of the property, the gorgeous cafe, the zen-like room aesthetic, the calm and nourishing atmosphere of the whole place, the incredibly kind staff, and the nourishing and delicious food (which is made with great attention and care paid to the ingredients (most of which are grown on the farm), and their healing principles according to the elements and Chinese medicine nutrition)). There are free evening healing offerings too, including sound healing, card reading, and other thing, which bring guests together to experience collectively as well, in a beautiful retreat center room. The cafe/lobby building is such a pretty and welcoming space, one could easily spend hours enjoying a conversation or reading a book, or petting one of the many adorable cats that roam the property. Even walking along the meandering path to the hotel from the main road is a beautiful experience, winding through tea fields in this magical valley at the base of steep mountains surrounding it. I have stayed at a number of hotels in China during my travels, but this place is by far my favorite of all of them, for its authentic feel and heartfelt warmth. It truly is a uniquely powerful place for healing and restoration, nestled in such a picturesque, quiet hillside of Wudang mountain!!

Had a fantastic experience! This was my first time staying at this hotel. The cleaning staff did an excellent job, everything was spotless, and there were no strange odors at all. I'll definitely be back. We also asked the front desk staff to do our laundry, and it came back super clean. When we ran out of water, the front desk sent more up to our third-floor room for free. The gym is also really good, and there's a snack street right next to the hotel. It's super convenient for transportation, very close to both the subway and bus stations. No complaints!

The newly built hotel has very tall rooms and complete facilities: the courtyard is spacious and the garden landscape is great. The boss is friendly and the food is delicious and affordable. It is very close to the Earth's Core Valley (2.5KM to the visitor center), and it is very convenient to drive there.

The scenery is nice and suitable for taking pictures, especially the sunset and sunrise. There were no stars in the sky that night we stayed. You can pick tea for free in spring, and the tea in summer is old. The navigation occasionally leads people to a small road, don't go, in fact, the whole way is an asphalt road around the mountain.
