„Location: Best location ever in Zhaoqing. Right opposite the 7-star lake central facade. Below the mixed-use building is a small mall with ample food and grocery choices. Service: Best avoided if you do not speak Chinese. Keep advising me to take a taxi from GZ which would be extremely expensive when cheaper alternatives are available. Did not provide check-in prior yet operated like Airbnb with check-in lobby and rooms on different levels of the building. Door lock PW changes daily but did not pre-advise leading to being locked-out. Located in a mix-use building and so hard to find if you were not advised beforehand what and where to go. Cleanliness: Messy check-in lobby. Rooms cleanliness so-so with hair and roaches found in sink. (See pix) Room: Booking title says facing Lakeview but small print says city-view. Wasted on upgrading. Duplex room with narrow stairs making it challenging for elderly. Facilities: Washing machine located in room. Value: Will not come back. There are better alternatives. Key considerations: (Wifi, hot shower, air-con, hygiene and service). Wifi and hot shower are okay. Air-con, hygiene and service are below par. Comments: This is not a hotel. Neither is it managed like Airbnb where host will do their best to communicate with guest. Hygiene and service not up to standard. Mix-use building seems to have a number of Airbnb-type operations, delivery personnel, retail, F&B shops and offices so people are in and out of building at all times yet there is no security personnel at lift lobby.”

„Check-in was easy, and there are plenty of restaurants right downstairs. If you don't feel like heading to the busy city center, you can easily find all your meals here in Minjie. The nearby Baipu Market isn't far either. The room was clean and tidy, and customer service was very responsive. Overall, a good stay.”

„Location is superb, at the middle of Beijing Lu just walk though the mall only 2 mins and in the area of quiet zone. The hotel is by the road, easy to pin location in Amap for taxi service. Near everything in Beijing Lu, lots of shops and restaurant The hotel is going to need more maintainance, my room wasnt clean, lots of mold at the sink/toilet bowl/floor. There has no hair conditioner and no fridge in room. Hair dryer has no heat, just to blow your hair dry but cant styling the hair proper Overall not bad, great location and value for money.”

„Location is great, right in the ancient city of Chaozhou and not far from the main roads. It is walking distance to the main attractions of the city. It is behind the walking streets and quiet. There is a nice little courtyard outside my room. They provide disposable towel, something I don't really like it. In addition, the room was a bit cramped, even for solo occupant.”

„Place was clean and the bed is super comfortable. Huge TV but most were Chinese channels only a couple of free English movies on VOD. Had all the amenities toiletries, Chinese tea (no coffee) and 2 bottles of water each day. Washing machine and free detergent. Location not close to metro but there are bus stops. Didi cheap in china so I mainly took that to the tourist area of Zumaio which cost less than 10 RMB (10 minutes). It's next to some new office buildings so helps of eateries and coffee shops, good clean environment. Also 5 minute walk to a mall with Walmart. Just add their WeChat when you checkin. Staff are really friendly and get's back to you if you have any questions really quick on WeChat. I picked the cheapest room so I didn't get a room with the great view but had a wonderful stay, will definitely book this place again when back on Foshan!”

„This place is called The Ritz Hotel, but it has absolutely nothing to do with The Ritz-Carlton brand. In reality, it’s just a few rooms on the 27th floor of a residential and office building, not a real hotel. The listing says breakfast is included — impossible, since there’s no kitchen, no dining area, and no staff to serve it. The rooms are described as “apartments,” but there’s no stove, microwave, or even a fridge. It also claims to have a 24-hour front desk, which is false. Nobody answers before 9 a.m., and check-in during that time is impossible. At night, there’s no one on site either. The location is excellent if you’re visiting the Canton Fair — the exhibition halls are right across the road — and the price is reasonable compared to nearby hotels. But overall, the listing on Trip.com is misleading and doesn’t reflect the true nature of the property.”
