„It was really clean and nice just after it was new! When you get out of Takeo Onsen Station, you can see it right on the left! The location was crazy ~ The room and the large bath were so clean and above all, there were few people, so it was so good !! The large bath was almost chartered ㅋㅋㅋ! Breakfast was buffet and the curry was especially delicious. In the evening, there was a restaurant in the hotel, where they sold kaiseki or set meals!! It looks delicious when I saw someone else post it in Google reviews! The price was about 2500 yen !! I'm going to stay here again if I come to Takeo again in the wall! I highly recommend it to those who travel alone!!”

The Japanese-style rooms aren't ideal for older people; you have to change shoes before entering the hotel and there's a seating arrangement in the room. The view is absolutely stunning; you can enjoy views of Karatsu Castle from the room, especially the beautiful night view. The service is also very good; they can communicate in English.

A beautiful guesthouse at a convenient location. Located off a smaller street behind the river (follow the yellow signs to find the guesthouse) and within walking distance to the public bathhouse and other attractions. Paid parking was off-site at the public bathhouse just a couple minutes away. The room was clean and the futons were very comfortable -- perfect for winding down for a restful night of sleep after a long day of travelling.The hosts were very friendly and helpful! Wish we could stay here longer! Would definitely stay here again when we return!

I loved our stay! Ladies that run the ryokan are the most beautiful souls! They will look after you and make sure you feel well. You need to take into consideration it’s an older kind of ryokan, has nothing to do with modern places but it’s spacious, it’s in the nature, it’s perfectly clean and has great onsen after which you’ll feel super rested. The dinner is quite expensive but totally worth it! We had amazing experience! Breakfast is a feast! Everything was so lovely. I hope I will be able to go back.

Need a car to reach the place, but it's easy to find via GPS. The hosts have been very friendly and guided us well. The kids had fun walking the goats, feeding the chickens, and helping with the cooking. It's a good place to destress and feel nature once again.

The hotel has a low-density design, yet maintains a good number of staff, so the service quality is quite high. The rooms incorporate a lot of wood and have a pleasant woody scent, which I personally really liked. Dinner was quite unique, offering a variety of fusion dishes.

The hotel is incredibly close to the train station, making the location super convenient. There are also lots of restaurants nearby, plus all sorts of little shops right inside the station, which is really nice.

The building seems old, but the rooms were renovated and clean. The twin room was spacious enough to spread out two carry-on bags. The shower room was small, but I thought it was adequate considering the price. There was also a large public bath (men and women alternate hours). It's about a 10-minute walk from the station, but you can also walk to Karatsu Castle and the coast, so it's recommended for those who want to take a stroll around the town of Karatsu.
