Perfect location, very cost effective for solo travel single room with fantastic communal kitchen facilities.

Very nice location, good for relaxing, 1 km from town center, but so close to the lake by just crossing the street. I would love to stay longer next time. If you reach late at night, it’s better to contact hotel in advance and ask for map and photos of your room location before. I arrived very late at night from Christchurch (changed transit flight from Auckland). It took me awhile to understand the map, room location and where to park. It was just 1 day after new moon. So, it was very dark. It’s hard for me to figure out the scale of the place and I didn’t see the small cabin at the back from the street.

An absolutely fabulous place. Really playing on yhe history of the building all while still giving privacy, security and fun. Location is super close to a variety of restaurants, cafes and take-away stores, and a general store for those forgotten small items. Parking is free but it's a first come, first serve scenario. I loved staying there and highly recommend to any traveler looking for a funky and reasonably priced accommodation.

Wszystko jest ok za cenę odpowiedni ale trafić do wejścia porażka . Chodziliśmy w kółko i jedyna opcja była wejść do głośnego baru który jest pod pokojami/ hotelem i w tym barze barmanka wydała nam klucz i przez bar pełnym gości i muzyki zaprowadziła do pokoju. Dodam że nawet szyldu o hotelu nie było .

Pokój był bardzo czysty i schludny. Warto zaznaczyć, że biuro odprawy znajduje się po drugiej stronie ulicy od motelu. Jeśli zameldujesz się późno, wskażą Ci pokój, w którym się znajdujesz, a jeśli drzwi nie będą zamknięte, możesz wejść od razu. W pokoju znajduje się nawet mały dziedziniec, idealny na piwo i pogawędkę! Jest nawet kominek do suszenia ręczników. Motel znajduje się również bardzo blisko popularnej restauracji Fairlie Barkey, gdzie można zjeść śniadanie i wyruszyć następnego dnia. Ich naleśniki są niesamowicie solidne, a nadzienie obfite. Nieprzyjemną rzeczą było to, że wyraźnie zapłaciłem za dwie osoby dorosłe i jedno dziecko, ale kiedy się wymeldowaliśmy, gospodarz zobaczył nas troje i powiedział, że zapłaciliśmy tylko za jedno, ale ponieważ podróżowaliśmy z dzieckiem, puścili nas wolno. Poczuliśmy się pokrzywdzeni. Wyjaśniliśmy wtedy, że to mógł być problem z agencją, ponieważ moja rezerwacja była na trzy osoby. Po naszym wyjeździe poprosiliśmy naszego agenta Ctrip o wyjaśnienie szczegółów z gospodarzem, a agencja potwierdziła, że ​​zapłaciliśmy za trzy osoby. Rodziny z dziećmi powinny pamiętać, że pokój dwuosobowy i trzyosobowy mogą mieć ten sam typ pokoju, ale cena z pewnością będzie inna, ponieważ goście z zagranicy muszą zapłacić za pościelenie łóżka i sprzątanie. Mogło to być nieporozumienie, ale pokój był naprawdę bardzo ładny! Obsługa klienta Ctrip była również bardzo rzetelna.

Good place to stay. The cabin was small but clean and cozy. Shared bathroom and kitchen facilities were very clean. Absolutely no complaints!

Self checkin was easy and simple. No fuss. We arrived a couple hours early. Phoned the Mob No @ unmanned reception desk. Mgr gave us access code to our unit. Lovely cleaning lady arrived to complete finishing touches cleaning our unit but not expecting we had arrived early. No problem at all. Finished off her task. Our self contained unit no.2 was clean, warm & fresh. Parking space for our vehicle was great. Great value for money. Will definitely recommend staying there. Cheers

Location is great, just a few minutes from famous spots in the CBD. Easy check-in and staff are friendly. The unit could use an upgrade, the furniture and fixtures have wear and tear that comes with age. The unit is also cold, not enough heating.

Convenient location - walking distance to town centre. Clean bathrooms. Room is a bit old and heater makes a squeaky sound all night. Be prepared for it to be cold as the linen and blanket provided is insufficient. Only one toilet for a block of many rooms which is slightly inconvenient. Free tea and coffee in kitchen and plenty of cutlery plates etc. as the place is not well insulated make sure you rug up at all times.

Hostel vibe that has everything you need. The location was great as it was very easy to walk the seal colony and whale watching tour.  We did our laundry their too which was easy to use and the host was very helpful with that as well as when we had issue with checking in.  A few hobs didn’t work in the kitchen which make it a bit challenging to cook if there were other people.
