„It's literally the nicest hotel in the area despite being expensive. Our room overlooked the sunset and the view was beautiful. The front desk staff efficiently checked me in, making me feel right at home.Special thanks to Jackson, who made the stay perfect and was helpful every step of the way! I'll definitely come back. Perhaps the most pleasing aspect was the hotel's quiet atmosphere that allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. There were no sounds of traffic or construction to distract or annoy us, and that was a pleasant change from our normal routine. We are happy to recommend to everyone that they book their next stay for rest and recreation at the Nan Ning Shangri-La Hotel. By the way, the hotel's location is very convenient as it is central to shopping, restaurants and recreation venues. Aurelia, Jessica, Eileen, Doris, and Iris are great.”

„The location of the hotel is just by the River and easy to take nice pictures right from the hotel or in front of the hotel. Upon our arrival, the doorman immediately grabbed our bags and welcomed us. Although we told him that our bags are heavy and offered to take some of the luggage by ourselves, he insisted to help us and helped to carry everything inside. The reception staff did the check in quickly and also informed us of their hotel facilities and services. They told us that we have a complimentary professional photography session to have our photos taken. They also introduced the local tourist attractions and we took the river boat trip that evening, which was very pleasant and nice way to see Guilin during the evening. The following day we went for the photo taking sessions and we got some beautiful memorable pictures taken. Our room was very beautiful and large and we wish we would have had more time to stay. We even had a separate room for drinking tea which was so cozy. The breakfast restaurant is located on the top floor of the hotel so the guests can have a nice view of the surroundings. Upon our departure the reception staff asked how our stay had been and bid us farewell and they had prepared some very cute gifts for us. I highly recommend this hotel for anybody who would like to visit Guilin leisure. Perfect location, perfect service and facilities!”

„I had a wonderful stay at Changliu Mountain Resort Hotel. I originally booked the Mo Yun Xuan double room, but to my surprise, I was upgraded to an even better room — complete with an outdoor bath. This instantly elevated the whole experience. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by mountain air was incredibly relaxing and felt like a private onsen moment right at my doorstep. The resort itself is peaceful, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. Breakfast was good, the little add-on experiences (like warm sweet soup, welcome fruits, and photography activities) made the stay feel thoughtful and unique. Staff were polite and helpful, and the entire environment was perfect for slowing down and disconnecting from city stress. If you’re looking for a quiet escape with nature, a comfortable stay, and a little luxury with an outdoor bath, Changliu Mountain Resort is definitely worth it.”

„We spent 4 wonderful nights here, and the kindness and attentiveness of the staff was the highlight of our whole trip. We were greeted with a welcome drink, and check in was warm and relaxed. They surprised us with an upgrade to a room with a private balcony overlooking the river, and someone walked us there personally. The room was spotless, and everything in the minibar was complimentary and restocked daily, a small touch that meant a lot. The pool is compact, but we always had it to ourselves, with a stunning view to match. Breakfast was delicious, and eating in the outdoor area made it even better. There is also a spa with very fair prices, which we sadly ran out of time to try. The location is a real plus. Guilin's lively night streets are about a 15 minute walk away, close enough to enjoy but far enough to sleep peacefully. Just across from the hotel, a small local restaurant sells cheap cold beer, perfect for drinking on the balcony. The building shows a little age, but the service and location more than make up for it. Easily 5 stars. At checkout, the team surprised us with a lovely tea box as a farewell gift, a perfect final example of their thoughtfulness. If we return to Guilin, SYYF is our first choice, and we'll look for this brand on future trips around China. Thank you for everything!”

This hotel is nestled within the grounds of the Ronghu Hotel, boasting a fantastic environment. There's a small gate nearby that leads to Ronghu Park, offering beautiful scenery without the crowds. The hotel itself is stunning and distinctive. The lobby features what appear to be genuine antique furniture pieces. The vintage lamps, metal rotary phone, velvet sofa and curtains, and even the room doors all exude a strong Republic of China era ambiance – opulent and luxurious. Indeed, it does show some signs of age; it's not going to have smart controls for lights and curtains like a newly opened hotel. The wooden door isn't as smooth, some floorboards are slightly warped, and the gap between the shower and bathtub isn't perfectly cleanable. However, I still believe this hotel is worth staying at, which is why I extended my stay after the first night. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, helping me upgrade to a suite. When I couldn't find the laundry room, they personally showed me the way. You can also add them on WeChat for any inquiries. The hotel has a limited number of rooms, so breakfast isn't exceptionally lavish, but with various porridges, pastries, vegetables, fruits, freshly ground coffee, milk, yogurt, soy milk, juice, bacon, sausages, small pastries, and freshly cooked rice noodles, it's actually more than enough. This breakfast restaurant also serves as an afternoon tea spot, with balcony seating offering direct views of Ronghu Lake. There's also another coffee shop with a great atmosphere, attracting many young women for photo opportunities.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! The hotel offers excellent value for money, and the location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by mountains with stunning views from the window. It’s about a 7-minute drive from the main street, so it’s easy to get around while still enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a separate walk-in wardrobe, which was a nice bonus. The main downside was the cleaning. The floors were a little dirty, and there was some dust in places. We also noticed that small pieces of rubbish were sometimes left behind even after the room had been cleaned. However, the bed linen and towels were clean, and the shower and toilet were also clean. The hotel itself could also benefit from some renovation, as certain areas and furnishings feel a little dated. With some updates and improvements to the cleaning, this place could be absolutely amazing! The breakfast selection was a little limited, but there was still enough to choose from, and everything was fresh and tasty. The hotel also has a laundry room where you can wash your clothes, which is very convenient, especially when travelling. Another lovely bonus was the complimentary photo session in traditional Chinese clothing, which included 5 digital photos. It was such a fun and unique experience that made our stay even more special! Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Considering the price, the beautiful mountain setting, the spacious room, and the extra experiences included, we think the hotel offers great value for money. With a little renovation and more attention to housekeeping, it could be an outstanding place to stay!

I stayed in Guilin for 2 nights on my way through. One of my friends had never been to Guilin before, so I specifically chose this hotel again because of its exquisite decor and unbeatable location (you can directly enter Elephant Trunk Hill Park from here). We took walks in Elephant Trunk Hill Park both in the morning and at night to enjoy it when there were fewer people. The hotel isn't expensive and offers great value for money. I didn't take many photos this time as I had already taken a lot during my previous visit.

This is one of the best-located hotels I've stayed in during my seven or eight visits to Yangshuo. It's directly facing the Yulong River and the karst peaks, and every room has a view. The rooftop terrace is absolutely stunning for sunset. During the day, no motorized vehicles are allowed into the Ten-Mile Gallery scenic area, so it's incredibly quiet. Renting an e-scooter makes it really convenient to visit attractions like the Big Banyan Tree and Moon Hill. The amenities are top-notch; the bathroom fixtures are Kohler, and the bedding is very comfortable. I had a very satisfying stay.

The hotel is wonderful, with the best service from all staff members. In particular, Ms Zhang, the General Manager, Ms Sunny and Ms Seven, and others but I did not manage to get their names. They were incredibly attentive from the moment we arrived in Yangshuo, helping us book shows and visits, amongst many other things. The room itself is spacious, with a stunning view of the mountains and the lake. Well equipped as well, even with a Dyson hairdryer! We also loved the cats in the hotel lobby.

Choosing this hotel and staying for two consecutive nights was the smartest decision of my trip. Definitely pick Building 1 or 6, as the views from the windows are absolutely stunning. The butler gave me the room with the second-best view in the hotel – the best one had guests extending their stay. The view from the huge floor-to-ceiling windows was truly spectacular! The room itself was also super spacious, with everything you could need! There was a wardrobe, hangers, a fridge, and a super long desk behind the bed, perfect for snacks, selfies, or even setting up a DJI drone. The bathroom was also incredibly large; you can imagine how big it was when I tell you I could open both my suitcases in there! It made getting clothes in and out super convenient. I took a video of the room when checking in, but didn't import it to my phone, so I don't have any photos. I also recommend checking out other buildings; there are many photo spots that are perfect for Instagram! I took tons of pictures, and even rainy weather didn't stop me from getting great shots. The complimentary hotel photography session didn't quite match my desired 'fishermen singing at dusk' vibe, so I booked the shoot wearing my own clothes. I got 3 retouched photos without paying anything, and the staff were still very pleasant! The only thing is, when I looked closely at home, one of the photos wasn't high-resolution, and when I messaged them about it, they didn't reply. The cormorant fishing performance was amazing – the cormorants dive underwater to catch fish, and they're incredibly skilled! They caught fish very quickly after entering the water! It's that ancient method, and while it looks a bit cruel, the fish they catch are ultimately fed to them. After the performance, you can queue up for a free photo opportunity! The butler service was also excellent! Highly recommended!

This time, I brought my one-year-old to Yangshuo and discovered this hidden gem of a guesthouse in Xingping Ancient Town – Li Hua Chen's Garden. It was so worry-free, I nearly cried tears of joy! @Yangshuo Chen's Garden Resort Hotel 📍Perfect Location, No Stress with Kids The guesthouse is right in the core scenic area where the 20 RMB banknote backdrop is, built alongside the river, directly facing the Li River. A few steps downstairs take you to the bamboo raft boarding point, and exploring Xingping Ancient Town is super convenient. Open the window, and you're greeted by the picturesque Li River landscape. We could enjoy the mountains and rivers from our room with the baby, avoiding the crowds. 🏠Comfortable Room, Perfect Details The room came equipped with a Dyson hairdryer and a smart toilet. The mattress was a King Koil, and the pillows were white goose down – incredibly comfortable. There was also a clean, dreamy bathtub with milk bath salts. After the baby was asleep, I could soak in the tub and enjoy the mountain view, letting all the fatigue melt away! 📸Sky Mirror, Instant Blockbuster Shots The Sky Mirror on the 5th floor is a must-visit spot! The best decision I made on this trip to Yangshuo was staying at Su She. From the moment I got out of the car and they helped with my luggage, I could feel the attentive, butler-style service. The front desk lady was incredibly sweet; she not only helped me plan my itinerary but also recommended some amazing local restaurants – absolutely no duds! The welcome fruit upon check-in and the sweet soup at night were really a nice touch, making me feel right at home. The guesthouse's location is perfect – quiet yet convenient for getting around, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Next time I bring my family, I'll definitely choose this place again!

Since it was the off-season, there were fewer tourists, and some guesthouses nearby had closed down. However, Xianyunju was still doing good business, and the staff's enthusiasm for service didn't wane. They proactively contacted us early to discuss transportation to the hotel and activity arrangements. Upon arrival, they even thoughtfully upgraded our room. The bay window in this room was absolutely amazing, though I regret forgetting to take a picture... Even though fishing and other activities couldn't be arranged during the dry season, the cobblestones in the riverbed were exposed, and we had a great time skipping stones for a whole morning. I highly recommend this for tourists from areas where fireworks are restricted – you can really let loose here, as local fireworks are affordable and come in many varieties, likely because it's a production area. A special thank you to the hotel owner for personally arranging the ancient temple hiking and exploration activity. The kids absolutely loved it!
