„The hotel was extremely nice, and good value for money as it is really comparable to any other high end hotels.
The common areas and the bedrooms were well heated (it was freezing cold outside), only the corridors between the bedrooms and the common areas were very cold. We stayed one night and had the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. It was a good variety overall, and of good quality. The staff was super nice, very attentive, and communicated through wechat for weather updates and hotel happenings (such as movie screenings).
The only thing that it could miss is a spa/massage area, which would be really enjoyable after a cold day of walking in HuangShan.
The location is perfect if you come from the East side (Yungu cableway), with many accessible views for sunset and sunrise.”

„Very satisfied with our stay at Xihai Hotel. We booked a suite room (Area B) for a family, but I think because of off peak season, they have the capacity to upgrade us to two bedrooms in the main building (area A) and we are very grateful for that. From the beginning the service was excellent, we were taken to our room and showed what was available. Everything in the room can be used without extra charge and can call to ask for more. Amenities and toiletries are available, room is very clean and breakfast buffet is included. Buffet dinner was ¥180 per person and it has enough varieties (mainly chinese food with some pasta, pizza, cakes). The front view of the hotel is amazing, overlooking Huangshan Mountain. The staff also very informative to guests about sunset and sunrise for the day. There were also a performance after dinner at the lobby for hotel guests. The hotel also provides two hiking jackets and a torch to help hotel guests to go out and about to hike the mountain. Our family has had the best time at Xihai Hotel and highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wish to stay overnight at Xihai Hotel. You won’t disappointed.”

- you can see that the corners in the rooms and bar are not thorough cleaned and that although it’s a fairly new hotel, it already looks a little run down here and there
- in one of two rooms has been smoked before, although it’s a nonsmoking floor
- waiter at breakfast argued that the water will cool down when I asked for cold water and he brought hot, instead of bringing cold water when I asked. After further arguing he finally brought a cup of cold water.

„Very polite and friendly customer service, felt very welcome when we reached. Staff was quick to respond to our requests.
The entire place was tastefully designed in modern Chinese style but retaining the roots or history of the complex. The bar and tea room was also stylishly furnished for a relaxing evening. I believe there are movie and KTV rooms at the basement across the restaurant. Along the way to our room, there were several artistic features, adorned with Japanese Maple and reed. The colour scheme and overall feel was relaxing and soothing.
Room was spacious with a garden patio, large indoor tub for onsen style soaking and bath, shower area, large bed and living area, and a separate room for storing luggage and clothes. We had a quiet room at a corner of the compound.”

„Beautiful hotel and amazing service
Service is top notch - from the morning even before we checked in, they helped plan our entire route on the mountain, and made sure we were taken care of the entire way - giving us ponchos in case it rained, checking us in early to wash up before another big hike etc. The leg massager is clutch and they'll also prepare a foot bath for you at the end of the day.
Room is comfortable and what sets this place apart is the tranquility of the entire complex.
The location is quite good too - a decent walk 30 minutes away from the Yunggu cable car, which gives you an ”easier out” if you want to exit the mountain without having to hike too much. It's also a short 10-15 minute walk to a great lookout for the sunrise.
Food was excellent, balanced and well worth the price, especially considering you're at the top of a mountain.
Would definitely recommend and would stay again if we came back!”

Sitting on the balcony, I could quietly sip tea while gazing at Tiandu Peak, Renzi Waterfall, and the lush forest below, truly communing with the mountains. In the early morning, I’d take a stroll, heading up the steps right outside the hotel, listening to the murmuring stream, and breathing in the abundant negative oxygen ions while meditating. This meditation spot is so peaceful, like a secluded paradise, with the pond water crystal clear and emerald green. It truly brought to life the descriptions from Liu Zongyuan's 'The Little Pond in Stone-dwelling': 'Through the bamboo grove, I heard the sound of water, like jingling jade pendants, and my heart rejoiced. Cutting through the bamboo, I found a small pond below, its water especially clear and cold. The bottom was entirely rock, and near the bank, a rocky base emerged, forming islets, shallows, and crags. Green trees and vibrant vines intertwined, swaying, and gracefully draping.' This is truly another wonderful way to experience Huangshan! The hotel also provided attentive and detailed butler and transfer services. Every meal was unique and incredibly delicious. On our last day, with a flight at 10 PM, the hotel kindly allowed us to extend our check-out until 8 PM and even drove us to the airport. My sincere thanks to every staff member for their help. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Huangshan and staying here again.

AAnonymous UserThe location is undeniably perfect, right at Lion Forest, making it super convenient for catching both sunrise and sunset. Since there aren't many people around, the room was really quiet. I absolutely loved the big balcony facing the majestic mountains, and I even saw squirrels hopping among the branches – that view alone is worth at least 3,000 yuan, in my opinion! 😂 However, the room rate of nearly 7,000 yuan felt a bit inflated, probably due to it being peak summer season. On the other hand, the butler service was very warm and enthusiastic. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. I left my phone charger in the room, and they kindly mailed it back to me. If I ever get the chance again, I'd love to see Huangshan in the snow.

FFischyingThe newly opened five-star hotel in my hometown has a great environment, especially the night view, with its beautiful fountain and light show. The room window offers a view of Sleeping Beauty Mountain. The hotel service is also excellent; they called to ask if I needed anything and helped arrange a higher floor. They even gave me a Mid-Autumn Festival gift bag with snacks and an eye mask – very thoughtful! I'm so happy that my hometown has such a wonderful hotel.

My husband and I stayed in the Mountainscape Terrace Mountain View Suite, which genuinely felt like a 5‑star hotel room. It was spotless, beautifully furnished, and equipped with an incredibly comfortable bed, a fully stocked mini fridge, and a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The smart controls operated by “Xiao Bao” were a fun and convenient touch. We were completely blown away and honestly wished we could have stayed in the room forever.
Even before our arrival, the staff communicated with us via WeChat to ensure everything went smoothly. We were able to speak with an English‑speaking staff member who took care of every detail for us—booking the hot springs, arranging breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea, and even offering to help us get to the train station on our last day. Their attentiveness went far beyond anything we’ve experienced at other hotels. We were even given a thoughtful bag of gifts upon departure.
Because the hotel is quite isolated, we ate all our meals on-site. The cuisine is Chinese, which isn’t usually my preference, but everything was delicious, freshly prepared, and presented with great care. A standout was the afternoon tea we enjoyed on our second day. We could choose to dine in our room or at the restaurant, which was perfect depending on how we felt each day.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the hot springs. There are four in total, and we used the two located higher on the hill, which offered an incredible view—even on a cloudy day. The temperature was perfect, and everything was exceptionally clean. The staff assured us that each pool is drained and refilled after every use, which gave us great peace of mind. Soaking in the hot springs in the heart of winter, surrounded by Huangshan’s beautiful mountains, was an unforgettable experience.
The hotel is about an hour from both Huangshanxi and Huangshanbei stations and easily reachable by car or Didi. Due to the weather, we didn’t visit the mountain scenic area, but the staff were more than willing to help us plan if we wanted to explore the surroundings.
This was truly a 10/10 stay. The staff make you feel like you’re the only guests there with their warmth and attentiveness. The design and architecture are stunning, and the hotel even smells amazing. I have absolutely no complaints and would rank this among the best hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. It’s a perfect romantic getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. I can’t wait to return!

The hotel's Chinese restaurant serves excellent food, and the price is comparable to what you'd find on Jiuhua Street. We ate lunch and dinner there on our own. The service was also great! The facilities are a bit old, though. The room's carpet and bathroom were very clean, but there was a slight odor, probably due to the humidity in the mountains. However, it's convenient for getting around, the location is fantastic! They also allowed a late checkout until 2 PM, and even gave me two sachets when I checked out! (As pictured)

GGuest UserI chose to stay at The Langham Hefei for Eric Chou's concert, and my experience exceeded expectations. Mindy, a staff member, arranged the room perfectly in advance, and the front desk even gave me concert merchandise, making my check-in very pleasant. The hotel is super close to the concert venue, about a 5-minute walk, and I could even hear Eric Chou's concert rehearsal from the hotel – it was so exciting! After the concert, returning to the hotel, they thoughtfully prepared ginger tea to ward off the evening chill, showing incredible attention to detail and warmth. The room was comfortable and quiet, the location was convenient for getting around, and the service was attentive throughout. Such thoughtfulness made me feel incredibly warm, and they even helped arrange a late check-out! 👍 I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I come to Hefei for a concert!

GGuest UserOn the 3rd, I climbed Huangshan Mountain in the rain and had booked the Xihai Hotel in advance. I missed both the sunset and sunrise, but the hotel upgraded my room from Zone B to Zone A, which was a lovely touch. In the afternoon, I visited the West Sea Grand Canyon, truly the essence of Huangshan, where nature's craftsmanship left me awestruck! I took the cable car back to the hotel from the valley floor, which was a bit roundabout. Luckily, Xiao Li from Xihai gave timely directions, and I returned to the hotel safely in the heavy rain. Back at the hotel, my clothes, pants, shoes, and socks were all soaked, so I quickly took a shower and changed. I was starving and just in time for the hotel's dinner buffet – nice! It was still raining outside the hotel, but that didn't matter, as the hotel had prepared a show: Southern Lion Dance, Sichuan Face-Changing, intangible cultural heritage Fish Lanterns, staff Huizhou opera, Monkey King穿越 (Monkey King through time/space), and a clown host – it was a huge hit. Xihai Hotel added many memorable moments to my rainy Huangshan climb!

SSyutezukaBefore coming, I compared almost all the hotels and guesthouses on the mountain, and Beihai stood out as having the best value for money. The room size was quite decent, and the concierge service from Xinyi was excellent – she was very knowledgeable about the surrounding attractions and routes. The location is also good; it's about a 10-minute walk to Monkey Watching the Sea, which is currently the closest viewpoint for sunrise. Bright Summit is a bit further, probably a 45-minute to an hour walk for the average person. The closest to the hotel is the Yungu cable car, about a 20-minute walk, making it very convenient for going up and down the mountain. The hotel restaurant's breakfast spread was very generous, and the à la carte dinner dishes were also delicious, especially the bamboo shoots and the old chicken soup – so fragrant! The hotel staff were all friendly and welcoming. There's also a cat named Yundou, who's plump and adorable and often wanders around the hotel entrance early in the morning. Right outside the hotel, there's also a medical station, a police station, and a coffee shop, which makes the facilities incredibly convenient. While prices on the mountain are high, it's understandable, considering all the food and drinks are carried up by porters. I hope they are compensated fairly for their hard work. Overall, it was a good experience, and the money was well spent.

Location
The hotel sits right by Swan Lake in the government district. The lake and city skyline views from the rooms are stunning, especially at night. It’s directly opposite Yintai in77, so shopping and dining are very convenient. The high-speed railway south station is only about 15 minutes away by car.
Service
This is where the hotel really shines. The staff are consistently warm, professional, and proactive. The concierge helped with luggage and doors, and the guest relations team reached out in advance, offered a room upgrade, and stayed responsive throughout the stay. Small requests were handled quickly and thoughtfully. The service level feels genuinely attentive.
Room
The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable and the soundproofing was good. My lake-view room had large windows with a beautiful outlook. The bathroom is generous in size and includes a bathtub — a nice touch for relaxing after a day out. Welcome fruit and drinks were provided upon arrival.
Breakfast
Breakfast is a clear highlight. The selection is wide (both Chinese and Western options, including some local Anhui specialties), the quality is high, and the food is fresh. It’s one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in Hefei.
Facilities
The indoor pool is clean and temperature-controlled, with pleasant views. The gym is well-equipped. Overall facilities match the five-star standard.
In summary, the combination of excellent location, outstanding service, comfortable rooms, and strong breakfast makes this hotel a top choice in Hefei. I would happily stay here again and recommend it for both business and leisure travelers.

For my dad's birthday, the hotel prepared a delicious strawberry mousse cake! We couldn't finish it because the portions were so generous 😋.
There are three peacocks 🦚🦚🦚 in the courtyard (they are super smart and will come right up to you for food), and the scenery from the balcony is picturesque (the sunset was absolutely stunning) ❤❤❤.
The entire hotel is filled with the Banyan Tree's special essential oil scent, and there's an essential oil diffuser in the room too.
During check-in, the butler offered Huangshan Maofeng tea and special pastries and then introduced the hotel's evening ceremonies: 'A Night of Fish and Dragon Dance' and 'Intangible Cultural Heritage Iron Flower Display' ✨. Even though I've seen them many times on TV, the shock of seeing them in person is still indescribable!!! We also received evening gifts: a small Banyan Tree turtle doll and cookies.
Since it was a birthday celebration, the Baiyun Restaurant reserved a central scenic table with breathtaking views. The hotel's signature dishes — Huizhou Maofu Tofu, Huizhou Smelly Mandarin Fish, and Huizhou Daobanxiang — were all incredibly delicious and perfect with rice! 😋😋😋 The important thing is that they weren't spicy at all!
I feel like this is probably the best hotel in Huangshan City at this price point!
