I expected a great hotel stay and they delivered. All the staff were lovely. Thank you for that. My only issue is the lack of room information regarding what is available in the hotel. Normally I would expect marketing information and menus for restarunt and bar in the room. The TV does give room service menu but was not required. Fortunately we found Ben, the Concierge in the lobby who very kindly explained what we asked, and provided a map for the area. Very welcome. Thank you very much.

Our recent stay at Shangri-La Tanjung Aru was truly magical. We were visiting to celebrate two very special milestones: our 5th wedding anniversary and our youngest daughter’s 1st birthday. Before our arrival, I reached out to the resort to share our situation, hoping for a smooth stay with two young children. Ezmareena Ismail (Nurish) responded promptly, ensuring that the resort was well aware of our needs. Upon check-in, a gentleman named Jordan (if I recall correctly) went above and beyond by upgrading our room to better accommodate the extra bed we requested for the kids. The surprises didn't stop there. When we entered the room, we were deeply moved to find a thoughtful letter and beautiful flowers prepared by the staff to celebrate our anniversary. It was a heartwarming gesture that made us feel truly valued. Throughout our stay, Melania kept in constant touch via text messages to ensure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Thanks to the incredible staff and their genuine hospitality, our family had a blissful and memorable holiday. I cannot recommend Shangri-La Tanjung Aru enough for anyone looking for an exceptional experience. We are so grateful for the wonderful memories!

This place seriously blew me away. Located above Imago mall and styled like a high-end hotel, the room felt ultra-luxurious from the moment I walked in. Yes, it’s on the pricier side — but you can see and feel where the money goes. Every detail screams premium: a Dyson hairdryer, thick and fluffy slippers, electronic blinds, touch-control lighting, and a stunning bathtub that instantly sets the mood for a relaxing stay. The design is sleek, modern, and Instagram-worthy in every corner. What truly sets this place apart is the generosity in amenities. Instead of the standard small bottled water, they provide 1500ml drinking water, plus free-flow drinking water and soft drinks to enjoy anytime. Even the Starbucks cups added a classy, thoughtful touch that made the stay feel extra special. On top of all that, parking is provided, making it incredibly convenient — especially with the mall right downstairs. This isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s an experience. If you love luxury, comfort, and those little details that make you say “wow”, this place absolutely delivers.

Po prawie trzech tygodniach poszukiwań zarezerwowałem ten hotel. Przeczytałem wiele recenzji potwierdzających wygląd pokoju. Przyjechaliśmy z dziećmi o 12:00. Okazało się, że pokój, który nam dał hotel, był taki różni się od obrazu. Nie wspominając o tym, że łóżko (jesteśmy czteroosobową rodziną) było zmęczone i senne. W tej chwili naprawdę wpłynęło to na nasz nastrój. W recepcji powiedziałem, że to właśnie zarezerwowaliśmy później ponownie przeczytałem komentarze i zrobiłem zrzut ekranu zdjęcia z recenzji, aby ponownie potwierdzić, kiedy je zarezerwowałem. Po otrzymaniu zdjęć skontaktowaliśmy się z obsługą klienta Ctrip i ostatecznie zmieniliśmy pokój następnego dnia. Zmieniony pokój był równie duży i wygodny jak widzieliśmy na poprzednich zdjęciach. Dziękuję bardzo obsłudze klienta Ctrip za ciągłą komunikację i rekompensatę w wysokości 150. Śniadanie w tym hotelu jest przeciętne. Jeśli przyjeżdżasz z dziećmi, w rzeczywistości nie pobiera się opłat za jedzenie dla dzieci, ale poproszono nas o zapłatę przy zameldowaniu. Pokój, na który zmieniłem się później, jest nadal wysoce zalecany, a stosunek ceny do wydajności jest dobry. Dokonując rezerwacji pamiętaj o potwierdzeniu zdjęć z obsługą klienta, aby uniknąć przeniesienia do innego pokoju! Oto jak to wyglądało po zmianach. Jedyne, co się nie zmieniło, to szafka nocna obok łóżka. Łazienka też nie jest taka, ze względu na rodzinę.

Udogodnienia: Klimatyzator nie może automatycznie regulować ilości powietrza. W nocy jest za zimno, więc muszę to wyłączyć Środowisko: Bardzo dobre, kilometr od Imago. Hol jest typowy dla Azji Południowo-Wschodniej i bardzo okazały. Można się zameldować tylko o 13:00 i 15:00 w barze w holu 30 juanów, bardzo wygodne! Czytałam w Internecie, że hotel dyskryminuje Chińczyków. Nie wiem, czy to przekleństwo, czy błogosławieństwo. Zarezerwowany przeze mnie pokój z widokiem na ogród został przydzielony do pokoju daleko, ale nieoczekiwanie był to pokój z widokiem na morze. nie czuję żadnej dyskryminacji. Kelnerzy zawsze się uśmiechali. Jest o wiele lepiej niż w zimnym Hiltonie, w którym mieszkałem dwa dni temu. Restauracja na dole jest świetna, obiad na dwie osoby to około 170, pizza poleca! Obudziłem się po południu, zamówiłem popołudniową herbatę w restauracji, a następnie zniknąłem, aby nurkować z rurką. Kelner podszedł do brzegu i poprosił nas o jedzenie. Zrobiło mi się ciepło na sercu. Restauracja jest również w dobrym miejscu do oglądania zachód słońca. Jest to mniej więcej to samo miejsce co Shangri-La. Jest duża różnica. Po prostu nie ma tam miejsca do robienia zdjęć i atmosfery zarezerwowanej przez Shangri-La. Niestety, podczas trzech nocy, które tam spędziliśmy , przez dwa dni naszego pobytu w hotelu i w dniu wyjazdu mocno padało. Będziemy tego żałować i wrócimy następnym razem!

Stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The unit is suitable for two couples, a small family, or a group of four. The location is near town, which is very convenient. The owner is easy to communicate with. There is no deposit required upon check-in, and the check-in process is simple—just follow the given instructions. Check-out is also easy; just leave the key in the mailbox. The unit has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a small living room with a TV, and a small kitchen. A refrigerator is provided. The water heater works well, and there are 3 air conditioners. The TV has Netflix available, but you need to use your own account. The lift is fast and not crowded. For reference: Parking is paid parking — approximately RM3 for the first 2 hours, then RM1 for subsequent hours, up to a maximum of RM15 per day. There is no washing machine in the unit, but a laundry is available on the ground floor. Guests have access to the swimming pool. For Muslim guests: no sejadah (prayer mat) is provided, so please bring your own. Note: Hopefully, the owner can continue maintaining the unit to be more Muslim-friendly, as we would love to stay here again in the future. Thank you.

Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu is probably the best place to stay in the entire city, not just for the rooms, but for everything else as well. The hotel is modern, very clean, and the service attitude from every single staff member is outstanding, from check-in to housekeeping to restaurant and bar teams. The pool and views on the 23rd floor are amazing, and the gym, while slightly small, has a really nice mountain view. Breakfast offers a great variety, and à la carte options are included at no extra cost, which is a big plus. The bar is excellent, especially during happy hour with buy-one-get-one-free deals on selected drinks. Honestly, the hotel was so comfortable that we barely wanted to leave, even just for a walk outside. Special thanks to Natalie at check-in, who was incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming. She even upgraded us from a city-view room to a mountain-view room, which made the stay even more special. At the bar, Alvin was tirelessly explaining the menu and drinks to us, and Yus always greeted us with a warm smile and provided great service, they truly made the experience memorable. If I ever come back to Kota Kinabalu, this would 100% be my place to stay again.

Stayed in a city view room at Sheraton Kota Kinabalu, but was pleasantly surprised to still catch a glimpse of the perfect blue sea and even spot speedboats from the window—such a nice bonus! My kid absolutely loved the swimming pool on the 23rd floor. The cool breeze and 360-degree view of Kota Kinabalu made it extra special. The gym also comes with a great view, which makes working out a lot more enjoyable. Buffet breakfast on the 5th floor was just nice, available from 6:30am to 10:30am—perfect timing to start the day with a relaxed morning. I also want to give a big kudos to the housekeeping team—I accidentally left some belongings behind, and they carefully packed everything for me to collect. Overall, a wonderful and memorable stay. Would definitely come back again.

Właściwie zarezerwowaliśmy pokój z łóżkiem typu king-size. Ale kiedy późnym popołudniem stanąłem w recepcji w celu odprawy, personel (Chińczyk), który nas obsługiwał, zapytał, czy wolelibyśmy pokój z dwoma łóżkami. Nawet o to nie prosiliśmy, ale dostaliśmy lepsze ustawienie pokoju. Co więcej, personel był na tyle czujny, że wiedział, że przyjechaliśmy w grupie z 4 innymi osobami, które zarezerwowały pokoje z widokiem na morze i przydzieliły nam miejsce na tym samym piętrze. Ku naszemu zdziwieniu pokój był bardzo duży. Mój przyjaciel i ja byliśmy bardzo zadowoleni z świadczonych usług.

There are two items need to be highlighted to home owner. - wifi system abit week, can be improved to higher speed which cover for more user. - due to the weakness of the Internet, the TV programmes doesn't work properly and keep disconnected. Kids are complaining the Internet and need to improve or change to other service provider.
