Location of the hotel is great. I came from Hiroshima.
The journey is very long.
I stayed 3 nights here.
Breakfast was kinda okay, they have alot of spread. I paid for 1 x breakfast at 3300 yen. Personally i feel the price can be lower.
Afew items to highlights were Tempura prawn, mentaiko, corn soup, soba and grilled beef.
They have welcome drink (tea/coffee/soft drinks) for certain hours. Topup 1000 yen you can get unlimited alcohol.
The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the station. And also they have 2 properties . Next to each other.
There’s 6 laudry machines. A sky pool, sauna and indoor bath (onsen).
I can see the hotel emphasis/uses alot of technology .
Your door card can be paid for many things (laundry and vending machine) including partner restaurants outside the hotels. Where you can charge the expenses to your room.
There’s a touch pad in the room, for you go control lighting, air conditioning , check hotel information and even control the TV. The only downside is the touchpad is very bright. It takes too long for it to go into idle mode.
The cast and mirroring was lagging for me.
As for the wifi, i find it weird that it only allows in my room. I had not as for the hotel wide wifi, not sure if there’s one.
The room wifi was okay.
The pool on the roof was great . You can see almost the whole beppu. Sadly I did not take photos of it. It was very chill . I would definitely stay here again just for the pool and onsen.
The room clothes hangers were kinda little. There’s only 4 of them.
The ice machine is at L2 inbetween the fitness center and the laundry. I would like to suggest to relocate it. As it is located directly next to the smoking room. And both times I am there to collect the ice with the cup provided, I almost out of breath from the cigarette.
The Washing machine had locking mechanism on it, so other guests would not take your clothes.
Select checkout was brilliant, they have 2 counters for it.
I ate a breakfast, did 2 laundry and one vending machine. It was calculated perfectly.
The staff at the reception were very helpful .
Overall the stay was good!
Will stay again if I am in Beppu.
Thank you .
Drove to the hotel so location wasn’t an issue but what a luxurious resort stay for the family! The dinner buffet options were plenty with roasted beef, seafood and plenty of alcohol options. The indoor water slides and wave pool provided much entertainment for kids and they definitely enjoyed it. Bedrooms were comfortable and relatively newly renovated so we enjoyed the stay a lot. Will definitely drop by again if there’s a chance!
Spacious room, great service, staff is very friendly. Highly recommend if you visit oitA, breakfast is great and delicious , only 1000 yen for customer, car park is the best.
Hotel was about 15 mins walk from Beepu station. Hotel style and amenities was very old school japanese. Good breakfast was individually served. Room was huge for 3 persons. Extra bed was a futon which was not comfy. The sea view was amazing and beautiful. Room amenities is typically japanese style. English speaking reception and breakfast staff was very courteous, efficient and attentive. Had a ensuite onsen which we liked very much.
Overall experience at this hotel was great and satisfying.
If you're considering this hotel, you'd better stay at Yula-Re.
We booked almost the largest room they have and it felt very cheap and cramped still. Glad we stayed only a single night there. The rooms are small even for Japan, and it's impossible to fit luggage under the bed, so it feels even more cramped. The bathroom has a ridiculously high floor, we tripped over the entrance so many times... And the bath is so tiny that you'll have to use Yula-Re's onsen to wash.
There are 9 or 10 floors but only one elevator, slow and tiny, so we had to wait for unreasonable time every time we wanted to go out.
The pajamas are nice but the wooden slippers are so broken they ask to kill them rather than be worn one more time. The worst was the bed cover paired with the sheet you have to use instead of a normal blanket. Felt so unhygienic...
There were several good points, though: the service was good and friendly, the location is great - just steps away from Beppu station, bus stop, combini and cafes nearby. And the possibility to freely use Yula-Re's amenities such as rooftop pool and onsen!
But then again, consider staying at Yula-Re. This hotel didn't feel like value for money.
We changed room type when we got to the hotel (from Seaside Maisonette to one of the Tower apartments) and this was seamlessly offered to us by the night staff. Service is top notch. Great for families. The food is wonderful and there is private onsen in every single room.
Highly recommend for families of up to 4 persons to stay in the tower apartments. They are very new and well furnished.

Hotel room is awesome and overall condition is excellent!! Room was very comfortable! The onsen is great, both indoor and outdoor hot spring were very nice!! The service is outstanding!! Staff are very friendly and attentive!! Definitely would come back next time!!
Good for the price you pay, not all the staff can speak English but they try their best to help you, even borrowing you umbrella when raining.
Good choice if here in Beppu.
If you have visible tattoos, you can’t take a shower during day and evening and you should wait till night when there’s no customers due to the social taboo about it.
Bardzo dobry

Amazing
GGuest UserThe location is convenient and the parking fee is cheap. However, the master bedroom had a stale, stuffy smell — it felt like there was no ventilation at all. I’m not sure if it came from the wall panels or the furniture (we stayed on the 13th floor). The changing area in the women’s public bath also had an extremely unpleasant odour. Some of my family members even felt nauseous after using the room. I really hope the hotel will address these issues and improve the situation.
ZZiyoulaiqudeliulangzheWhen I booked, it only showed the room, not that it was in an annex building. We ended up being placed in the building next door, which had much simpler facilities and was significantly smaller. I'm not sure what the reasoning was. To take a bath, I had to carry a basket out and go to the main building. The slippers provided were also very slippery. It was very inconvenient, especially in the cold weather. It would be much more reasonable if the booking page clearly stated this upfront.
QQingjiaowoxiaojiejieyaThis hotel is a bit far from JR Oita Station, and it can be tiring to walk back and forth if you're using it as a transfer point between Beppu and Yufuin.
It's an older hotel that's been renovated, but the furniture is still old, and the bedding comfort is just average; the duvet was too thick. The room size is quite large for Japan. We specifically booked a room with a sofa bed for our child, but it was small and hard, and our child refused to sleep on it after an hour.
There's a large 24-hour supermarket near the hotel with good prices, which is convenient for buying daily necessities. Across the street is a school, and the Nikko Hotel is not far next door. Oita Art Museum and the pedestrian street are within walking distance.
SShupangxiedexiaowuguiAfter reading other reviews, they were all overwhelmingly positive.
Having stayed in numerous hotels, the ANA InterContinental Beppu definitely ranks in my top three.
First, let's talk about transportation:
Beppu Station is quite small. Remember to exit from the West Exit (this was told to us by the hotel shuttle driver; apparently, many international guests wait for a long time at the East Exit only to find out it's the West Exit). The hotel is about a twenty-minute drive away.
Next, the service:
What was really surprising is that more than half of the hotel staff are non-Japanese. Every single foreign staff member spoke excellent Japanese, with perfect mastery of honorifics.
Finally, the room facilities:
The onsen (hot spring bath) is small but beautiful. The infinity pool isn't very deep, making it suitable for children. It was still a bit chilly in March, but luckily, there's a warm pool nearby where you can soak for a while.
The restaurant offers great value for money. Children aged 6-12 get half price, which is around 2,700 yen. In the evening, there's an all-you-can-drink option for adults at 5,000 yen, including sparkling wine, house wine, shochu, and beer.
GGuest UserThe hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Beppu Station. It was raining on the day we arrived, so we took a taxi which cost around 50 HKD. We had a fantastic sea-view room. Although the facilities were a bit old, they were very well maintained. The breakfast was abundant and also served in a restaurant with an amazing sea view. A truly great experience.
GGuest UserThe service was great, and I got upgraded to a Zeus building room with an upgraded meal plan. It was a bit pricey, but the buffet had a wide variety and excellent quality, especially the all-you-can-drink beverages, which was fantastic. It's a shame the Zeus building can't be booked directly on Trip.com; I had to upgrade upon arrival. The transportation is very convenient, with a direct shuttle bus from the JR station to the hotel at regular intervals.
AAbby KimmIt's a capsule hotel. The only downside was the lack of a proper door separating the restrooms from the sleeping capsules, making it easy to be woken up. However, the staff were incredibly thorough and helpful when explaining all the necessary information for the stay.
DDraculazhiyiI stayed two nights in a room on the 9th floor, so here's my experience. In terms of facilities, the hotel is relatively new and the amenities are quite good. The reception is located in a villa, presumably an extension of an older building, which adds a unique charm. There are only two suites per floor, so the rooms are very spacious. The indoor onsen (hot spring bath) was particularly impressive and very comfortable. The large public bath is in another building a three-minute walk away, located on the first floor as an infinity pool; I recommend experiencing it at sunset – it's wonderful. As for the food, the kaiseki cuisine here is of extremely high quality, the best of the two hotels I stayed at in Beppu. The restaurant, Matsushu, in the new building, consists entirely of private rooms, the number of which seems to correspond to the number of rooms. Japanese breakfast and dinner are enjoyed in these private rooms, which is very pleasant. I also tried their buffet breakfast in another building, which was quite good, especially the high-quality fruit. Location-wise, there's a bus stop right outside. Whether you're going to Beppu Station, Kannawa Onsen, or a large shopping mall, you only need to take one bus, which is very convenient. Overall, it was a very memorable stay and I would definitely return.
Llgt8341This is a boutique hotel with only 5 rooms, the small one is more than 70 square meters, and the large one is more than 100 square meters. The price is relatively expensive, but we were fully booked during our stay.
The hotel is located in a layered garden with a very sense of design. There is a small green landscape outside each room. The room has a living room, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, toilet, large pool hot spring, shower room and sauna room, and two small platforms. The wine, snacks, ice cream, etc. in the bar are all free. There is also a one-hour free spa.
Breakfast is in its own restaurant. We stayed for two nights. The first dinner was in its own restaurant. The second night was in the hotel's exclusive restaurant that was not open to the public. The Japanese chef only served us and our husband. We have absolute private space and will not meet other guests in the hotel.
When we checked in, the hotel had just opened for 3 months and was still in the running-in period, but we could feel that the staff were very dedicated and wanted to provide the best service. Our account manager and housekeeper Eliena was very thoughtful, available at any time, and had no problem communicating in English.
Question: 1. The room design needs to consider the safety of customers. For example, the bed in the bedroom is on a half-foot high platform. Although there is a floor lamp, it is easy to step on empty space when getting up at night. In addition, there are three steps from the bedroom to the hot spring, bathing and other areas. The steps are cement gray. Although not high, they are easy to be ignored. 2. Although there is a glass partition door, the hot spring water and hot spring related equipment are quite loud at night. It is very uncomfortable to fall asleep on the first night. Guests with sleep problems can negotiate with the hotel to turn off the hot spring at night so that the water will not flow.
有有本茂樹I stayed in a smoking room. I'm a smoker so it was good because there are only non-smoking rooms available these days.
The breakfast was also delicious and I ate too much.
The hotel staff were always smiling and helpful so I was very satisfied.
