My stay at the Novotel Living Dalian Zhongshan Square with my little one was a fantastic surprise! The location is unbeatable; it's right next to Zhongshan Square with subway access right outside, making it super convenient for exploring and dining. The room was set up like an apartment, offering plenty of space and a full kitchen, which was a huge plus for heating up baby food. What really stood out was how thoughtful the hotel was towards kids. During check-in, they proactively offered two sets of building blocks, which my child absolutely loved and kept them happily occupied, significantly reducing any fussing. The entire room was spotless, the floor-to-ceiling windows offered expansive views, and the soundproofing was excellent – my child's nap went undisturbed. The gym and self-service laundry room were incredibly practical, and the 24-hour front desk staff were gentle and patient, responding to any issues super fast. Combining hotel service with the comfort of home, it's definitely my top choice for family travel. I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Dalian!

We stayed at Atour Hotel Dalian Dongguan Street (大连市政府东关街亚朵酒店) during our first trip to mainland China, and honestly, this place was one of the highlights of our whole visit. Right at check-in we were kindly upgraded to a suite, and the staff asked if we could leave a review — after staying here, that was an easy and enthusiastic yes. Where do I even start? The room was immaculately clean, super quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was impressive with strong water pressure and top-notch amenities — everything felt fresh and high quality. We had zero issues with housekeeping — everything was always perfect. The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve met in China. Their English wasn’t perfect, but they tried so hard to help with whatever we needed, always with a smile and patience. That honest effort made a big difference. Location is another major plus. This hotel is right by Dongguan Street, which means you’re walking distance to tons of restaurants, shops, and attractions. Pavilion Mall is super close too, and the airport is easy to get to — really convenient for arrivals and departures. One small thing — the subway station is a bit of a walk, but the tram stop is very close, so getting around was still easy. We didn’t try the breakfast since it wasn’t included, but honestly, everything else was so good that we really don’t even care. To all travelers — especially Korean and Western visitors who might skip Dalian thinking it’s “not worth it” or don’t see many foreigners here — do yourself a favor and stay here. This was hands-down one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere. If we come back to Dalian, we will 100% stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

This hotel is supercool. walk distance to the venice ciry. Clean, tidy room with beautiful sea and city view. I have experienced one of the bathrooms with beautiful view for the first time. Friendly reception staff and manager. Received 3 pastry cakes as birthday gift for my wife from the manager. I will admire the manager in charge miss Sun Wei for her great services. I recommend staying here

## Cudowny rodzinny pobyt w The Castle Dalian Przebywaliśmy z rodziną cztery noce w The Castle Dalian i bardzo nam się podobało. Nasz przestronny i pięknie urządzony pokój na 12. piętrze oferował oszałamiające widoki na morze, dzięki czemu nasz pobyt był naprawdę niezapomniany. Holl wejściowy hotelu jest imponująco duży i elegancko zaprojektowany, tworząc przyjazną atmosferę od samego początku. Dla rodzin z dziećmi dostępny jest duży plac zabaw, za który trzeba zapłacić. Na szczęście goście hotelowi otrzymują zniżkę. Na zewnątrz hotel szczyci się uroczym małym parkiem z fantastycznymi widokami na zatokę i pięknym krajobrazem — idealnym na relaksujący spacer. Hotel położony jest na niewielkim wzgórzu, więc spacer z powrotem do centrum miasta jest trochę długi. Jednak bezpłatny autobus wahadłowy jest bardzo wygodny, zapewniając łatwy transport do miasta i z powrotem. Nasz pokój był starannie umeblowany i bardzo przestronny, w tym duża i dobrze wyposażona łazienka. Jedną niewielką wadą było to, że obok łóżka znajdowało się tylko jedno gniazdko elektryczne (tylko po jednej stronie) i brak portów USB do ładowania telefonów, co byłoby miłym dodatkiem. Śniadania i inne posiłki w hotelu były pyszne, z bogatym wyborem dań chińskich i zachodnich. Jedynym obszarem do poprawy byłaby czystość toalet w restauracji śniadaniowej, które niestety często były nieuporządkowane i wymagały częstszej uwagi. Basen, utrzymywany w temperaturze 27°C, nie był idealny dla małych dzieci, ponieważ nie ma oddzielnej sekcji dla dzieci. Goście powinni również pamiętać, że noszenie czepka pływackiego jest obowiązkowe. Obszar basenu obejmuje mini saunę fińską i saunę parową zintegrowaną z przebieralniami. Jednak obok basenu znajdują się tylko leżaki, więc wrażenia z sauny były zupełnie inne niż relaksujące wizyty w saunie, do których jesteśmy przyzwyczajeni w Europie. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, The Castle Dalian oferuje przyjemny pobyt z pięknymi widokami, doskonałym jedzeniem i udogodnieniami przyjaznymi rodzinom, co czyni go doskonałym wyborem dla podróżnych odwiedzających ten obszar.

We stayed at Novotel Dalian Zhongshan as a family, and chose it largely because it’s a newly opened hotel (2025). While the location felt slightly less central than we expected, it was hardly a drawback—taxi fares are very affordable, making it easy to get around. Having a convenience store on the first floor was also a real advantage, especially for families. The room itself was immaculately clean, exceptionally spacious, and paired with a beautiful view, it made for a very comfortable stay. We were also genuinely pleased with the fruit and beverage service, which felt thoughtful and welcoming. One more highlight: the delivery robot was fascinating—no matter how many times we saw it, it still felt surprisingly cool and memorable! Overall, a modern, well-maintained hotel that we’d happily recommend to families seeking comfort and a touch of something new.

Most of the staff do not speak English at all! Only the guys at the reception speak good English and all questions had to be resolved with them, including the restaurant menu - no one in the restaurant, even with my use of a Chinese online translator, could help me with questions about the menu and when I asked the person at the reception to help me understand the menu, it turned out that the kitchen could not cook either the first course from the menu or the second. With dietary restrictions and allergies, you can die of hunger here. I consider it unacceptable to have non-English-speaking staff in a franchise of an English establishment. The cook at breakfast talks on the phone right at the place where food is prepared during breakfast. I wanted to ask him a question about the dishes on the first day - he was texting on the phone, on the second day he was directly talking on the phone. The dishes at breakfast are either not named at all or are named only in Chinese. There was no seller in the store at the hotel no matter how many times I went in to buy a T-shirt. In the end, I tried on what I was interested in at the store, chose it and went to the reception to pay for it. The next day, a salesperson appeared in the store and told me that the T-shirt I bought the day before had a 20% discount for a month, but when I paid for it, I paid it full price and thus I was deceived by 20% of the cost of the T-shirt and did not give any receipt. The pool is very small and not deep for such a huge hotel. If there is someone else in the pool besides your partner, there is not enough space. The sea near the hotel is dirty. Nothing is suitable for swimming - there are no sun loungers, there is no space on the beach specifically for the guests of the hotel. The beach is across the road from the hotel. There was only one coffee machine at breakfast and it didn't work both days. You could ask a restaurant worker for coffee. The hotel by the way has a cool energetic staff and that's nice. The room cleaning is high-quality. There are renovations going on at the hotel and guests can't use all the hotel areas.

This is an instagrammable hotel that offers quality service. From checking in to checking out you will be assisted by the staff. There is an open beach a few steps away with 2-3 cafe shops. One of them is Caan. The buffet breakfast offers delicious western and Chinese breakfast. The rooms are nicely designed with a balcony overlooking the beach. Snacks and drinks are also offered for free including a welcome fruit plate. Toiletries are of quality and smells really good. Japanese toilet is another plus! The bed and pillows are all comfortable. They also offer activities like boat and paddle board riding. If u need help with anything including attractions to see, they have a wechat account and they respond quick. I highly recommend this place if you want a more quiet place to stay. And of course the private beach front setup is so relaxing and offers a great view both day and night!

Great location, across from Zhongshan square and 15 minutes walk to Russia street. The marina is a short 10-15 mini taxi ride. This hotel is like an old style China hotel, it’s kind of grand and is kept in relatively good condition, but it is dated with dark wood furniture and not in keeping with the high expectation of an InterContinental, especially compared with other cities. Also, there is a weird smell in the room, and the breakfast spread is limited, even in the club lounge. Also, there was no acknowledgment of my milestone birthday, which was disappointing. On the positive, the executive room is a nice size, bathroom is huge, shower is powerful, the condition is ok, bed and pillows are comfortable, no coffee machine, but free access to lounge with afternoon tea on both days and happy hour where food is served. The pool is large and up to 1.8m deep. The price is relatively good, so overall it was enjoyable. Thanks also to Grace who gave me a late check out and a magnet. I hope they refurbish the hotel soon, as it could be better, through it ain’t that bad ether.
