„Dobry hotel może wiele dodać do Twojej podróży! Kiedy po raz pierwszy przybyłem do starożytnego miasta Pingyao, hotel wysłał samochód, aby odebrał mnie ze stacji. Pokój jest prawdopodobnie najlepszym pokojem, jaki kiedykolwiek wynajęliśmy, na pewno w tym przedziale cenowym nie znajdziesz lepszego. Był superczysty, nowy, ogromne wygodne łóżko, wszystko działało zgodnie z opisem. Łazienka jest supernowoczesna z najbardziej zaawansowaną toaletą. „Zatrzymaliśmy się w zabytkowym budynku. Po wizycie w posiadłości rodziny Wang w ciągu dnia, wieczorem zameldowaliśmy się w Qigongguan, czując się jak zamożna rodzina. 【Parking】 Przyjechaliśmy samochodem. Właściciel wysłał nam lokalizację parkingu poza starym miastem, a następnie odebrał nas pojazdem. 【Zameldowanie】 Właściciel uprzejmie narysował mapę i opowiedział nam o głównych atrakcjach i trasach w Pingyao. 【Udogodnienia】 Cała atmosfera dziedzińca była wspaniała, zwłaszcza wieczorem. Przy ćmianym świetle czerwonych lampionów czuliśmy się, jakbyśmy przenieśli się w czasie do późnej dynastii Qing i wczesnej Republiki. Gdyby nie było tak zimno, na pewno siedzielibyśmy na zewnątrz, pijąc wino i rozmawiając. I had a truly wonderful stay at this charming courtyard hotel in Pingyao, a perfect 10/10 experience. Although it’s a small property with only about 6–8 rooms, everything about it feels thoughtfully done and beautifully presented. The hotel is newly renovated, with tasteful decorations that blend traditional character with a fresh, comfortable atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the owner. He is incredibly friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful, his service goes far beyond expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt well taken care of, and his sincerity really made the stay special. Location is superb! The room was spotless,  one of the cleanest I’ve experienced. I actually walked around and looked at a few other motels in Pingyao, and I can confidently say this one stands out as the best in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and overall quality. On top of all that, the price is very reasonable for what you get. It’s rare to find a place that offers such great value together with such heartfelt hospitality. Highly, highly recommended ,  I would definitely stay here again.

房間配置很好，戴森吹風機好用； 前台免費升級的套房，不過我還是不太習慣沒太睡好，但總算也是體驗了一把北方的炕，總之謝謝前台免費升級安排； 早餐很豐盛，小米粥非常原生態，絕對沒有添加粘稠劑，口感好，蒸的兩顆大紅棗口感也很好，也是終於品嚐了一次蒸棗，菜品太過豐富，總之，我衹吃了1/3不到，已經飽了； 接送司機人也非常好，熱心幫助我們提箱子，本來東站想付費的，前台也貼心的給免費了； 總之一場非常不錯的體驗，很值得推薦的一家酒店。

We had a wonderful stay. Great location, close enough to all the historic sites and restaurants, but still very peaceful. Our host could not be more helpful, she helped us plan our sightseeing and provided extras like a streamer for our clothes when requested. We had a delicious breakfast every morning, with as much to eat as we wanted. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and decorated beautifully. We would not hesitate to re-book if we were to return to Pingyao.

We had the best stay at Elswhwere Hotel West Gate. The building is restored it the nicest way really gives you the feeling of timetravel. The people working in the hotel, were carrying and welcoming. They explained us how to navigate the city, helped us buy tickets for the city sights, recommend restaurants and we even got a room upgrade and lovely gifts to take home and remember our time in Pingyao. The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. Can recommend this hotel full heartedly. Would definitely come back! Thank you Helen and Fenny for making our stay so memorable.

PROS: Great new hotel that's just outside of the Ping Yao's north gate. It was nice to be outside of the old city and get a taste of the local atmosphere. The front staff, cleaning ladies were all incredibly gracious warm and welcoming. The laundry area was well kept, they provided contact solution, womens products and some other extras not usually found in other hotels. Overall the hotel looked spectacular. CONS: I did have a problem with the cigarette smoke in the 1st room we were given and had to look at 3 other rooms before settling on a room across from the ”service” station, all night long there was loud banging and thudding, this wasn't too bad because we were exhausted from our day of walking around. Other than that, we had a great stay!

We stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property. Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it And it does feel and look like a traditional house. You feel you are going back in time. Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs. He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city. Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions. Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him. Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm. On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour. Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class. The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk. The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

這次平遙之行，非常榮幸選擇了榮耀民宿，雖然在古城外，但出行超方便，步行5-6分鐘就到古城入口，還免去了古城內交通管制的麻煩。房間乾淨又温馨，床品軟乎乎的，晚上一沾枕頭就睡着。民宿老闆是一名二十年的退役老兵，服務超熱情，不僅幫忙規劃路線，還推薦了很多本地人常去的小店，價格非常優惠才幾十塊錢，真的是物超所值。特別推薦大家可以入住體驗

The ancient city Pingyao and the Yundingxuan hotel blowed our mind. The hotel provide free pickup from the train station. We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets. The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam, With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city. I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.

自駕到古城，老闆娘給安排了古城牆下的停車場，20元一晚，客棧離西門停車場非常近，非常方便。客棧在古城步行街邊上，古典有特色，春節來院子裏大紅燈籠高高掛，十分喜慶，客棧十分適合旅拍，在客棧就能完成，期待旅拍的照片。老闆娘非常熱情❤️
