Our stay was truly wonderful and beyond our expectations. From the beautiful surroundings to the heartfelt service, everything made this a very special experience for our family.
What impressed us most was the amazing team behind the hotel. From the front desk, to the activity organisers, to the restaurant staff, everyone was warm, friendly, helpful, and attentive. We felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. It is not easy to find a hotel where the service feels so sincere and consistent in every part of the experience.
The room arrangement was one of the most unforgettable parts of our stay. Waking up to the breathtaking view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was simply amazing. The view received so many compliments from our friends and family, and many of them even asked us more about the hotel because they were so impressed. It truly made our stay feel extra special.
A very special thank you to Jennifer, the Front Office Manager, for her prompt replies and thoughtful arrangements before our stay. Her care and attention to detail made us feel reassured even before we arrived, and we really appreciated all the effort she put in to make our stay so well arranged.
Another highlight was how kid-friendly the hotel is. There were so many enjoyable activities for children, especially the animal feeding sessions and campfire dancing. Our child enjoyed them so much, and seeing her so happy made the stay even more meaningful for us. The fact that she is already asking to come back says everything.
Breakfast was also a wonderful part of our stay. There was a good variety, the food was enjoyable, and the setting was beautiful. Starting each morning with the peaceful view of the lake and mountains made the experience even more special.
This hotel truly raised our expectations of what a great and luxurious hotel should be. It is not only a beautiful property, but also a place made special by a team that brings so much warmth, care, and dedication to every guest’s stay. Congratulations to the hotel for having such an outstanding team and such a wonderful place. Thank you for giving our family such beautiful memories. We will remember this stay fondly.
The hotel is similar to other City Comfort Inn, the amenities good and room clean, toilet is good too. The staff servicing is wonderful., the counter told that their windows room does not have a city view instead its facing the residential units. Too bad, I was hoping for city view.
My only concern on this hotel is that the location is not really near the main shopping district, you need to walk about 2km or take taxi. During my 5 days stay I still didnt manage to use the metro as a convenient transport, instead I walk or get ehailing driver to pick up.
Another difficulty I have is that the drop off and pick up point for taxi or e hailing car is block by motorcycle lane, so its difficult to carry luggage and go through fast riding motorcyclist.
There are many eateries within 10 minutes walk, and there are TCM pharmacy as well bread store just beside the hotel.
Its fine if you are traveling lite and staying few days. Just don't expect its really at main shopping district or near mall.

This historic hotel is very charming, and despite its age has all the modern features you’d expect. Located right next to the Green lake, the atmosphere is peaceful and the decor has a classy 1950s vibe. The rooms and public areas (including the swimming pool and changing rooms) were very clean and well looked after, and there were lots of nice touches that made me feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Łazienka była prawdziwą rozkoszą – wyposażona w toaletę Duravit, armaturę Hansgrohe i suszarkę do włosów Dyson – wyposażenie dorównujące standardom hoteli z gwiazdkami.
Pomieszczenia ogólnodostępne to prawdziwa kopalnia skarbów! Duży taras widokowy szczyci się huśtawką w kształcie szklanej kuli i drabiną do nieba, dzięki czemu każde zdjęcie staje się viralowym postem na Instagramie. Po południu można zamówić filiżankę drobnoziarnistej kawy z Yunnanu w malowniczej kawiarni, do której można zamówić wykwintne przekąski, i podziwiać ośnieżone szczyty gór.
To coś więcej niż zwykły pobyt, to raczej wciągające i uzdrawiające doświadczenie. Obowiązkowy punkt programu w Lijiang!

This is considered quite a premium hotel in the area. It’s very family friendly - the pool seems popular, though if your window faces the ‘inside’ of the hotel you’ll hear lots of noise from it. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and quite new. A good place overall, if a little loud.
In all honesty, if you’re a foreign person reading this who can afford to travel to China, I recommend avoiding Xishuangbanna. It’s a very tacky tourist trap of an area. Mostly populated by northern Chinese who have travelled down to hawk cheap and tasteless tourist experiences. Nothing worth seeing, even in the local parks. And everyone smokes here, it’s a little suffocating. I strongly recommend visiting elsewhere in Yunnan province such as Kunming or Dali - nothing to see here.
Hotel rooms are exactly like the commercial pictures. But a bit smaller when you're in the room (but still big don't worry).
In winter, it's not entirely warm in the room. You'll need to put on layers to sleep especially if you're from a tropical country.
For muslims, there is a halal restaurant next to the hotel. Walk to the left from the hotel lobby. Very near. The ancient town is a bit far if you want to walk. But close if you book a taxi. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Outstanding
XXianggenichengnannannanHow to put it, Banyan Tree holds a special place in my heart. Everything is generally good, and I've stayed there before. However, the facilities are just so inconvenient, and they haven't been updated even in this day and age. Before going to bed, I had to search everywhere for the light switch. In the middle of the night, if I wanted to turn on the light, I couldn't find the switch anywhere – they were all so far away! If I wanted to turn off the light after lying down, I'd have to get up again. I couldn't even find the light switch in the minibar area before bed, so I had to sleep with the light on. When I woke up and wanted to lie in bed to admire the snow-capped mountains, I had to get up to open the curtains (or rather, the door panels). Entering the main gate was a struggle; the villa's main gate is so old and worn out it's hard to open! And that surround around the bed is so anti-human. Should I step on it or not when getting into bed? If I don't step on it, it's a bit of a reach to get in. But if I do step on it, surely many people have stepped on it, and you can't wash fabric coverings after every guest, right? With these surrounds all around the bed, I couldn't even sit on the edge of the bed! Plus, the staff weren't very proficient; it took half an hour for check-in (and I was the only guest). Although the price has dropped, it's still over 2000 [yuan]. Honestly, being in the room felt like one word: tiring. It felt like I was constantly circling the room, looking for this and that… I'd take off my clothes and not know where to put them, and then the next day I'd have to remember where I put them.
GGuest UserThe room facing the street was quite quiet, which was nice. The front desk has a coffee machine, and you can ask the staff to prepare drinks for you as needed.
The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and proactively offered us travel advice. Parking allows one exit within a 24-hour period, so plan your outings accordingly.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Old Town Windmill, maybe because I walk a bit slowly, but it's definitely not just a few minutes away.
The room is equipped with smart home features, and the quality of items like tissues is quite good, showing that the owner has high standards for the amenities provided.
BBingbingle、The room was very spacious and well-equipped.
The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking.
The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed.
The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.
GGuest UserThis hotel made up 90% of my wonderful Lijiang trip – it was incredibly comfortable and the service was so thoughtful. The excellent service started right from booking; the owner added me on WeChat to ask about my arrival time and if I needed a pick-up, always replying instantly. They even helped with my luggage! The hotel is halfway up the mountain, offering stunning views of Lijiang Old Town. Whenever I wanted to go out, they'd drive me to the old town entrance, making it super convenient – a quiet escape yet close to everything. Plus, food delivery comes right to your room. The daily afternoon tea, coffee, and regular tea were all delicious, and the mini cakes and cookies were also high quality. There are 3 cats to pet, and a huge, super clear projector that was so comfy it made me not want to leave the room, haha.
⭐️ **Amenities:** It has an elevator! Floor-to-ceiling windows, a spacious and bright room, with sunlight streaming in – super comfortable! There's underfloor heating, powerful air conditioning, and a humidifier. The furniture is solid and high-quality, and the bed is just the right softness with comfortable linens.
⭐️ **Hygiene:** Daily cleaning, disposable slippers in sterilized packaging, soft and clean towels, separate toilet and shower areas, and a bathtub – extremely clean!
⭐️ **Service:** Absolutely amazing, they catered to every request! They provided sightseeing tips and routes with location pins, no pushy sales, and were as warm and attentive as a good friend! Unlimited complimentary bottled water, they'd offer water and an umbrella when I left, and fresh flower cakes when I returned – they looked after me so well!
We will definitely be back.
YYappariStory✨ Overall Impression
Stepping into the hotel, the lobby's design immediately gives you that ”the vacation has begun” feeling. The wooden structures combined with Southeast Asian-style decor – statues, elephant ornaments, and warm lighting – create a gentle, slightly exotic ambiance. It's understated but rich in detail.
🍽️ Dining Experience
The hotel's buffet area focuses on ”Yunnan specialty cuisine,” with meticulous attention paid to both plate presentation and space design.
The open-plan counters are neat and clean, offering a wide variety of choices. While featuring local flavors, it also caters to different tastes. Overall, it's above average – not stunning, but comfortable and diverse.
🛏️ Room Experience
The rooms are spacious and well-laid out, exuding the relaxed vibe of a resort hotel.
🛋️ Features a separate lounge area and a balcony.
🌿 The outdoor terrace is perfect for relaxing in the morning or evening.
🛁 The bathroom is fully equipped with a separate wet/dry area and a bathtub.
The overall style is natural and warm, with wood and soft lighting making it easy to unwind. However, upon closer inspection, some facilities show a bit of age, though they are still maintained in a comfortable condition.
🌴 Environment and Facilities
The hotel feels more like a resort-style hot spring hotel than a purely business hotel.
🌳 Spacious outdoor areas with a resort atmosphere.
🚗 Luxury cars parked at the entrance enhance the overall sense of class.
🏛️ Richly decorated public areas, perfect for photos.
It's particularly suitable for slow-paced travelers rather than those rushing through their itinerary.
💡 Pros Summary
✔️ Spacious and very comfortable.
✔️ Has a resort atmosphere, great for relaxation.
✔️ Diverse dining options.
✔️ Distinctive design, photo-friendly.
⚖️ Areas for Improvement
▫️ Some facilities are a bit dated.
Recommended for:
✔️ Those looking to slow down in Kunming.
✔️ Travelers who enjoy hot springs + a resort style.
✔️ Guests who prioritize space and comfort.
This isn't a hotel that will wow you at first glance, but it's a place where you can unwind and stay comfortably.
In a city with such pleasant weather as Kunming, it feels more like a ”gentle haven” than a showy luxury.
GGuest UserThis hotel boasts an excellent location, making it super convenient to get around, especially being so close to Shuhe Ancient Town. The hotel itself has a beautiful Naxi style, and the room designs are full of ethnic character. The decor is thoughtfully arranged and everything is spotlessly clean. We booked a 'snow view' room, which was spacious and comfortable, and relaxing on the balcony was pure bliss. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, including a gym, a swimming pool, and even a spa. They also offer a variety of activities, like feeding animals or tea tasting. Even though it rained during our stay, it added a unique charm to the atmosphere. Christin at the front desk was very attentive and kindly asked about our stay experience. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance!
DDiana AldereiWe recently stayed at this hotel with my husband and had quite a mixed experience – some parts were truly lovely, while others left us a bit disappointed.
First of all, the villa itself was absolutely beautiful and incredibly spacious. The natural hot spring water was one of the highlights of our stay — such a relaxing and unique experience. The surrounding territory is also well-maintained and very peaceful, perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature.
However, it’s important to note that the location is quite remote — it took us around an hour to get to places where we could eat or enjoy a cup of coffee. This is understandable considering the mountain setting and access to hot springs.
The afternoon tea was decent, and although lunch wasn’t included in our stay, we tried the local mixian noodles and they were absolutely delicious! Must try! Unfortunately, breakfast was disappointing, especially for guests like us who don’t eat pork or pork oil - there were very few options.
A few maintenance and cleanliness issues also affected our stay. The outdoor pool was not super clean, some insects were swimming there. While we really loved the hot spring bathtub in the villa, the facilities could use a bit more upkeep. The toilet setup was quite basic — a minimum upgrade like a bidet spray or shower toilet would make a big difference, especially for international or Muslim guests.
A more distressing part of our stay was that we found dead insects under the blanket in our bed after returning to our room one evening 🥲 I do appreciate the staff’s polite and kind response – they offered tea and explained it may have fallen from the ceiling – but for someone with a strong phobia of insects, this made it difficult to sleep and really affected my comfort. I do believe this is something that should be taken more seriously, especially in a hotel of this level.
Despite these issues, the staff was very polite, cute and extremely helpful & friendly, and I can see the potential for a truly magical experience here with just a few improvements. I really wanted to love everything — and part of me did — but I was also happy to go back home, just to feel more comfortable and relaxed.
Aabcd556082I consider the Pullman a solid five-star hotel. Everything was great, and the room had a fantastic view, looking directly onto Dali Port Wharf. The service was excellent; they were very accommodating to all requests. Most importantly, the cleanliness was impeccable, even in all the hidden corners. The room was quiet and the breakfast was superb! If I return to Dali, I'll definitely choose the Pullman again!
GGuest UserService: The service at White House was the best I experienced on my Yunnan trip, even better than Hyatt's meticulous and attentive service.
They offer free laundry and drying, and breakfast can be delivered to your room. There are also complimentary evening drinks. Whenever you leave, they ask where you're going and offer free taxi service (to the three ancient towns). Upon check-in, each room receives a thoughtful gift box containing items like face masks, contact lens solution, glasses cases, and breath freshener. I hope the owner can upgrade the quality of these gifts; with such excellent service, I'd love to see the hotel's overall quality improve further.
Environment: Every room faces Jade Dragon Snow Mountain directly, offering an excellent viewing experience.
Facilities: I tried two room types this time. The ventilation system in this particular room type wasn't great. Since it's above the cafe, there was a strong smell when I opened the bathroom and room doors. This seems like a construction issue that's hard to change later. Both room types I stayed in had poor soundproofing. Early in the morning, I could hear people chattering by the lake downstairs, taking photos of the snow mountain, and in the hallway, I could hear doors closing, people walking, and talking from other rooms.
Hygine: During my stay, one bath towel was dirty, but the service staff replaced it immediately.
Overall, this hotel is quite good. However, the price I paid for the first night on the platform was over 1900, and for that price, the quality felt insufficient. At their regular prices, these issues would be less significant. I sincerely hope the hotel's business thrives. Many things require time and refinement. While the hard facilities can't be changed, there's still room for improvement in the soft facilities.
GGuest UserInitially, the butler wasn't very proactive in adding me on WeChat, and the room assigned to me was pretty mediocre. However, my stay improved after check-in. The mature male staff member at the front desk was excellent; he moved me to a quieter room with a better view. The shuttle service was also very prompt whenever we called. I had previously stayed at Ansu, where the service was exceptional, so I had some initial disappointment, but overall, the service here was good despite a few minor flaws.
The courtyard is huge and filled with various flowers, arranged beautifully. It's clear a lot of effort goes into its maintenance. Every corner of the courtyard is worth savoring; this courtyard was the highlight of my stay. It's absolutely stunning, truly the vibrant and blooming Lijiang I pictured in my mind!
Although it opened in 2015, the rooms are well-maintained. The breakfast selection is quite diverse, and the small pot rice noodles are delicious! The location is very convenient, with the main entrance on the main road and the back entrance leading directly into the Old Town.
