Me and my partner had a fab time here a wee confusion with the room when we checked in but receptionist solved it like a pro.
Great for Outdoor or just a relaxing time away. We had breakfast included and we loved all the Scottish selections. Would recommend for couples especially.

We had a sea view room which had a great view, but the windows were so dirty and cobwebs in the corners that it actually spoiled that for us. The staff and service they provided was excellent, but however I expected a wider variety of meals but the menu was very limited. It was nice to sit at the tables provided outside when having drinks, but again the metal railings at the tables had a lot of chipped and flaked paint and made the hotel look rather run down. The dining rooms and all the seating areas with lovely leather chairs was very nice on the ground floor, but moving up the stairs there was black tape holding the red tartan carpet together, our room actually had small nails holding the wallpaper on the walls. It all looked great online ,but close up it was rather tired.
Loch long Hotel could be a lot cleaner. However, what really spoiled my stay was UK.trip.com. After I .ade the booking trip.com announced that the booking could not be varied. Then a couple of days before the due date, another anouncement about a £50 up front payment.

Very good central location for Oban activities etc, and getting Ferry to Mull. Clean very comfortable beds, lovely breakfasts and staff very helpful. Good parking at hotel too.
What a lovely hotel!! We arrived late but the owner greeted us and suggested places to eat as they didn’t do dinner.
The room was very clean with two single beds which were so very comfortable!! The room was en-suite and had a lovely view of the golf course and the sea.
We had drinks in the hotel bar Which was very warm and friendly. The owner was friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area
Breakfast was Full Scottish and was delicious and plentiful.
I would gladly recommend this hotel to others. The owners are warm, friendly and helpful, and the room very comfortable.

Very Good
Ooil-nanThis hotel is right by the Oban coastline, and it's just a 5-minute walk from the train station if you're dragging luggage. There's a lift, but it starts from the first floor. My leg was hurting, so I subtly used the lift for the B floor. The staff provided good service. The hotel's interior has been newly renovated, it's clean, and smells lovely.
GGuest UserAttentive friendly staff ,room lovely and warm ,beds very comfortable hotel bit dated but otherwise very clean and welcoming perfect location in town and very affordable price

HHeong Siew YinIt is very centrally located with Tesco, M n S big supermarkets just round the corner 5 minutes walk away. Some Car park spaces in front good for free parking after 6 pm to 9 am. For cheapest whole day parking, 7.50 pound can be found near the ferry pier, about 7 mins walk from hotel. Easy access to all restaurants.
Reception is within the bar in Ranald Hotel with manned staff until 11pm.
Cons in room, water shower not consistent in temperature, no washing machine and room lightings can feel too dark. But maybe a lot of lightings in that area are like that…
But all in all will recommend. Comfortable.

PPHYO PHYO WAI YANG YINGThis is very small botique hotel, didn't look impressive front the entrance outside hotel. The moment we went in, it is really cozy & we were greeted by very warming in house manager & booked dinner table as well. We enjoyed their breakfast and as well as dinner, very good quality. Our concern is this hotel doesn't have lift.
GGuest UserPerfect location close to rail station.Lots of positive points, however hotel was dated in parts, room carpet flooring was unstable so had to exercise caution not to trip and cause injury. Reception staff member Jamie pleasant and most helpful, so was Nicola over the phone the night before check-in. Food could be improved, with a better variety at breakfast, and providing fresh fruit.
Room allocated was not what I expected. Would stay again if better room allocated.
AAna MALAll the front desk personnel are the best asset this hotel has. The place could do with an update of their appliances and furniture in their rooms. Soft furnishings are ok. The cleanliness could be a bit better. They lent me slippers so I could use the steam room and it was a great addition to my stay. Overall I give the place a 3/5.
GGuest UserHave stayed in lots of other Premier Inns before and had lovely experiences. This one was ok but the parking left us feeling a little disappointed. First night we stayed there was enough free parking for the amount of guests and everything was great. We went out for the day as you do and when we came back we found 4 road workers lorries parked sideways across and taking up at least 14 spaces in total. There were work vans parked in the disabled bays, in the passenger drop off bays, you name it, there was a works can parked in it. When we queried what we were supposed to do we got told just use the on street parking down the road as it's free between 6pm and 9am. We said about the vans parking is out of order and they said ”Well unless they are guests and have registered their vehicles there is nothing we can do!” So there went our nice relaxing morning, taking our time to pack up and leave to drive the 6 hours back home because we had to be out and away by 9am or face charges!
