Sadly, I wasn't impressed with the level of cleanliness in the single room but the double room & bathroom were much. The view of the harbour from the room was outstanding. Lots of activities and Christmas parties taking place.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help, which really made the experience enjoyable.
The location was very convenient, close to major attractions and transportation. I also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, which made it easy to relax after a long day. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient.
Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money, and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
We actually liked the hotel, because reception lady was friendly and helpful, room was alright and clean, beds and linen were nice, we also had a big shower, wardrobe and huge mirror, there was a tiny lift available. Heating was helpful. Only one problem we had, was with the door, which was hard to open and close. Otherwise, It’s a good value for money and we would definitely return.
This is an excellent hotel, with good facilities, lovely central courtyard, plenty of free parking, and very friendly staff. With Chatham and the Dockyard nearby, the location is excellent.
Not certain which category to put this hotel in! It's not luxury but better than budget. The rooms are a little dated and the TVs need upgrading. The shower, again, a little dated.
We booked a room for three as our adult son has learning disabilities. He was delighted to find he had a separate bedroom with his own, small TV.
The rooms were clean, the hotel tidy, and a very good breakfast was included in the price. Overall, good value for money.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, and they have Camden Town pale ale on draught at the bar, which is an excellent pint. Their pizzas are pretty good, too.
In fact, the hotel is not called Royal Tunbridge Wells
It's Premier Inn Royal Tunbridge Wells , Trip.com The title should be wrong, but the experience of staying at the hotel is really great! The location of the hotel is excellent, just in the center of the town, whether it is to go to the train station or visit the famous pedestrian street The Pantiles , it is very convenient, and the surrounding parks and theaters are also within easy reach.
The hotel is located in a very distinctive building, formerly a court (Merevale House), and the internal facilities are very new after modern renovation. Our room was stylish and comfortable, the bed was particularly comfortable and slept well all night. Despite its central location, the room was very quiet and soundproofed. The room was spotless and air-conditioned and showered.
The hotel’s own Thyme restaurant is also commendable, we had a delicious dinner here, the breakfast selection was also very rich, the taste was great, and the new day was full of vitality.
Most importantly, every staff member of the hotel was very friendly and helpful, making our stay more enjoyable.
All in all, this was an impeccable stay. Whether it is location, hardware facilities or service, this Premier Inn is doing a great job.
On arrival service was great and very helpful. Room had a great view a little on small size but not complaining as it was very clean.
On the down side. Mattress needs changing as springs have gone. Woke up with them digging in my back.
Went for breakfast as continental breakfast was included. It's extra for cooked of which I would be happy to pay for. However I was totally ignored as person too busy folding napkins and kept their back to me. I wasn't going to hang around. There was no fruit just bread, muffins and yoghurt. I was going to speak to the front desk about this but no one about so I let myself out of the car park.
Very good service over all very happy staffs friendly

Very Good
GGuest UserStayed in Room 265 near the elevator area and unfortunately the noise insulation was very poor. The fire door beside the lift slammed loudly throughout the night whenever guests passed by, making it almost impossible to sleep. The hotel should really install soft-closing hinges to reduce the noise for nearby rooms.
GGuest UserIt's been quite a while since i last stayed at the Kings Arms... and this trip reminded me why!
There is very little choice of Hotels in the area, and Kings Arms is centrally located in Westerham with many decent Pubs and Restaurants in close proximity.
The Hotel had undergone a lot of fairly recent External Renovation and looks amazing from the outside... maybe one day they can progress to modernising the interior.
Bar Area and Restaurant areas are absolutely fine, and you cannot fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the Staff.
However, the journey upstairs with the threadbare carpet kinda lets you know what is instore for you inside the room.
On this most recent stay, the room itself was HUGE! I booked a deluxe Double. Massive Bed, and ample furniture.
Carpet threadbare in places and the Central Heating Radiator didn't work. A small Electric heater had been placed in the room, but due to the enormity of the size, it was inadequate to produce any real warmth in the room. Poor quality lighting.. but i thinks that made me by design!
The Bathroom was equally large, but similar to the room (and others i've stayed in previous) i suspect maybe the 1980's was the last time it had a facelift. It was adequate to take a wee, and clean my teeth.. but i could only imagine my wife's reaction to the sheer thought of taking a Bath in there!
It's such a shame really... perfect location to stay for either Business while working at Biggin Hill Airport, or for a weekend getaway with the wife.
However, if the latter... i would seriously advise to take a look across the road. You'll have a much happier wife!!
This could be an amazing hotel - but it sure does need a lot of work on the inside.
LLee DuddellA standard Premier Inn... room was clean and modern, the rest of the hotel a little tired but for the price and what I expected it was totally fine.
An easy stroll into Canterbury, but you do need to walk through an underpass which some people may find problematic esp. late at night, but I am sure it's safe.
WiFi is throttled to encourage you to upgrade... not a fan of this.
CChris J HornWhat an amazing hidden gem this is. Nestled on a hill top overlooking the marshes with Warehorn church over the road, this pub with rooms is a must for a romantic get away.
We arrived early and had a drink in the bar, which is beautifully quirky, a welcoming log fire burning and a wide selection of drinks.
We had booked ”Niddy” an attic room with so much to give, a comfy bed, roll top bath, and so much character.
The only ****** I had with the room, was the W.C squeezed into the roof space it was a little awkward to stand up and wee, but that's a small thing when it comes to such a great room.
Requesting a quiet table for dinner, we were given one in a side area and again we couldn't believe it, it was super romantic and we had the whole room to ourselves. Our waiter Muli was so good, he was attentive but not intruding, and so funny, we haven't had many meals out and he really did make the evening.
The food was excellent and the vegan burger was one of the best I have had.
The location was brilliant, if you're into walking, cycling, birdwatching or wanting to visit local sites (rye was only 20min drive away)
The rest of the staff were also brilliant, and couldn't do enough for us.
We will definitely return.
AAlmira KultayevaWe had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff were extremely polite, friendly, and always willing to help whenever we needed assistance. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Although it was a standard room, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience and would happily stay here again. Thank you to the entire team for their excellent service!
RRhi_vs_WorldDays Inn proved to be a comfortable enough one-night stop-over choice. I found this hotel to be well-located, allowing for quick and easy access from the highway. With ample safe parking in the parking lot, EV charging facilities, and freestanding tap-to-pay self-service laundry machines available to use, it was nice to be able to refresh and reset for the following day without issue. The hotel's entrance sits directly opposite that of the Roadhouse rest which houses a varied selection of takeaway catering outlets, a Costa coffee shop, and WH Smith convenience shop amongst others can be found. The hotel's reception desk entrance shares a clean + suitably maintained garden/courtyard and picnic table seating, all within reach of the hotel's free wifi network, which proved useful. Despite arriving well before the stipulated check-in time, the front desk team was helpful and accommodating. An easy check-in + check-out process made for a budget-friendly, and hassle-free evening stop-over before continuing on with my Travels.
GGuest UserWonderful location, just a stones throw from the Centre of Canterbury. Our Host was lovely, very kind and welcoming.
Breakfast was not overwhelming, very basic. It was included in the price so can't really complain.
Lots of niggles with the room though..... maintenance appears to be down on the list of the priorities sadly.
Fridge didn't work.
TV had cracked plastic frame around it. Remote didn't connect to the TV. However you could turn on the TV manually....once you'd sussed out what wasn't working first.
Bedside set of drawers had handles that kept falling off.
No sink plug in the bathroom. You had to be a contortionist to see in the bathroom mirror, it could have been better positioned on the adjacent wall.
It was also a little concerning that all the electric devices had to be plugged into just one trail board.
That being said, inspite of all the niggles, it didn't stop us from having a lovely weekend stay in Canterbury - location made up for it along with Sanjeewa's hospitality.
GGuest UserIt’s in a great location for all you want in a town. It has a cool vibe & a nice buzz.
I was welcomed warmly, but disappointed to discover at check-in my room was on the 5th floor & no lift! A disability prevents me from doing many stairs. I was offered an upgrade for an extra £20, so I paid. (In hindsight feel this is a common practice & felt a bit conned). I then found out I still had 2 flights of stairs to the first floor!! 😩
The room was spacious & tastefully decorated as you will see by the photos. A spare bed in the room, great for families. Nice coffee & tea facilities.
I found the room very cold, so told a member of staff & asked if the heating was coming on or what could they do, I never heard from anyone in response, so was very cold in the evening.
If you don’t like to be cold & lots of stairs are a problem don’t book.
If those are not a problem then it’s a characterful hotel, with a great restaurant. Just avoid being talked into an upgrade!!!
CChimp96This is a convenient location. The staff I encountered were lovely and really helpful.
The rooms are very standard but clean.
I was told ahead of time that new soap dispensers were awaiting delivery so was supplied with a cup of hand soap. Not great but at least I wasn’t left without.
It’s not my usual spot as I prefer somewhere a little more quiet but with its location and my stay falling on a weekend the outside noise was a little distracting whilst trying to sleep. Also the allocated room I had also left room for inside noise too and doors were often open and closing.
Parking was confusing at first. The car park round the back is a short stay car park so I had to move my car to the multi story down the road and walk back but not the hotels fault and I’m grateful they let me know.
All in all it’s an okay stay. Personally for me I like a little more in a room but for the price you can’t grumble
