Great hotel for the price I paid. It was clean and had everything I needed. Good views of the Acropolis. It is located a short walk from Monastiraki Station. Room was spacious, clean and quiet despite being in a busy location. Breakfast was sufficient and tasty. I would stay here again!

I was so excited to learn the Attalos hotel is very central to everything! The front desk was very attentive and gave me lots of information about this fabulous area in Athens. I got some delicious breakfast up the block. I perchased a warm jacket for 10eu. In a second hand store. Goodwill Greco style! Im always cold. Even in 70 ‘ temp. Florida aclimated lol I’m here alone meeting friends. I feel very safe and would recommend it to anyone who is solo! Kali Taxidi! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I rarely leave reviews for hotels, but this stay truly exceeded my expectations. Considering it was the cheapest hotel on Trip.com that day, I didn't have high hopes because of the low price. However, the room environment was similar to a domestic Ji Hotel, and the front desk and restaurant staff were incredibly friendly. The breakfast was also delicious. It's only about 3 kilometers from the Acropolis, making it very convenient to visit all the attractions in Athens city center. The only slight drawback might be that the street it's on feels a bit desolate, but there's no need to worry as the police station is nearby.

We loved this hotel! We booked it based on good price, nice photos/reviews and close proximity to vegan restaurants. My only slight concern was that some reviews described the location as a little seedy/dangerous. We did not find this to be the case at all. We loved the location, away from the tourist 'centre', but still easily accessible by metro in about 10 minutes. In fact, from this area it seemed really easy to travel to many different parts of Athens, and the metro station itself was a 10-minute walk away. There is a large, lovely park 5 minutes across the road, where lots of people & families were hanging out during the long, summer evenings. Yes, there are some run-down buildings and graffiti in the area, but that seems to be all over Athens, and it did not feel aggressive or threatening. The hotel itself was lovely. The photos are very accurate. Our room was soooo comfortable, a great size, with good storage (wardrobe), comfy bed/pillows, a nice shower and a small fridge, kettle and coffee pod machine. Down in the basement is a communal space with a pool table, small kitchen for preparing food, and space to chill out or watch movies. You can also get fresh, drinkable water here, There is a small terrace on the top floor, with a bit of a view and some friendly pigeons. The staff at reception were so lovely - friendly & helpful, great English speakers too. The only thing I would mention is that our room was at the front of the building, on the 1st floor, and you could easily the hear the traffic on the main road (which is around the corner - the hotel itself is on a side street). We were also treated to some early-morning trumpet practice from someone in an apartment opposite (and he definitely needs the practice!) So if you are sensitive to noise or a light sleeper, you should ask for a room at the back. But, that aside, it was a great hotel which I highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional hospitality in the heart of Athens I had a fantastic stay at Philippos Hotel! The location is unbeatable—literally steps away from the Acropolis Museum and the metro station. For anyone interested in tours, there is an 'Athenian Tours' office right across the street, which is very convenient and enjoy the Acropolis view from the rooftop. The Standout Service: The staff truly made my trip special. The male receptionist who welcomed me was incredibly nice and accommodating. Not only did he help me carry my heavy luggage upstairs, but he also spent time explaining the room, the Acropolis area, and suggesting great places to visit. On a day when I arrived and it was raining, he even thoughtfully offered me an umbrella. Another nice touch was the complimentary coffee served from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Even when the hotel was busy, everything felt very organized and clean. The Room & Breakfast: My room smelled wonderful, and the queen-sized bed was very comfortable. The washroom was clean and equipped with a hairdryer and toiletries. Breakfast was another highlight—it was very full and packed with a great assortment of breads, salads, sweets, juices, and coffee. Things to Consider: Stairs: The staircase is not very suitable for people with large luggage or mobility issues. While I was helped at check-in, the receptionist wasn't available when I was leaving, so I had to carry my heavy bags down the stairs by myself. Amenities: Note that while they provide basic toiletries, there were no toothbrushes or slippers, so you should pack your own. Smoking: For those who smoke, it is permitted outside the hotel and on the rooftop. Overall, a solid 4-star experience thanks to the wonderful staff and perfect location!”

Very clean apartment with wonderful views, bed was very comfortable, tea and coffee facilities in the room and a tv. The breakfast was varied and filling with excellent service. The staff were friendly and very helpful with a taxi service which was superb. We would definitely return for a lovely, quiet relaxing stay. It is a little’out of the way’ but definitely worth the stay .

I’m a solo traveller and I stayed here on my first trip to Athens. I wanted to be central to the attractions. The location was amazing! It is right on Monastiaki square where you can take the metro to and from the airport making it easy to get to! You can also use theirs to get around Athens! Low cost and easy to use! You can see the Acropolis right from the square! There are also lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops around this area too! On arriving at the hotel the reception staff were very warm and welcoming. They helped me to arrange transportations and offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast bag for my early check out which was very kind! The room itself was quite large and clean with all of the amenities that you may need. The shower was hot which was good! The downside to the room is that it is very noisy from the outside due to it being on the square. It can get busy at nighttime, however I did expect this due to its location. I came prepared and brought earplugs to sleep in which did the trick! The breakfast is served in the rooftop bar. Plenty of choice and delicious pastries each day. Hot and cold options available which was nice! The views from here are amazing! You can sell all around you and have a view of the Acropolis as you enjoy your breakfast! Wow! Our stay was absolutely fantastic, and I'd like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to Joanna at the front desk! She was incredibly kind and gentle, with an elegant and graceful demeanor. Her politeness and thoughtfulness in handling everything were truly exceptional. We had an urgent need to print some documents during our trip, and Joanna was so enthusiastic and proactive in helping us, efficiently resolving the issue without a hitch. Her warm and friendly service was incredibly refreshing and truly cured our travel fatigue, perfectly showcasing the wonderful hospitality of the people of Athens. She truly is a bright and moving highlight of this city, and she made our Athens trip especially unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

We stayed one night at Alekos Apartments 2 and had a pleasant and comfortable experience. The apartment was modern, very clean, and well-equipped — it even had a small kitchenette for simple cooking and Netflix for a relaxing night in. Although there’s a front desk, the office hours are limited, but not to worry — the owner is super responsive and helpful via WhatsApp. He even helped us arrange transport from the airport to the property at a reasonable fee, which made arrival really convenient. The self check-in process was smooth and well explained. The apartment felt safe, cozy, and had everything we needed for a short stay. Location-wise, it’s within walking distance to metro stations, making it easy to get to the city centre. Overall, a great value stay in Athens — clean, modern, and hosted by someone who truly cares about guests’ comfort. Would happily stay again!
