Bardzo dobry tani hotel. Położony w pobliżu lotniska, przystanek autobusowy naprzeciwko hotelu. Można dojechać do centrum Funchal, a stamtąd w innym kierunku. Śniadanie za małą dopłatą, jak dla mnie smaczne - tzw kontynentalne, ale każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Można dokupić obiady za 25€/os. Basen wewnętrzny i zewnętrzny. Bar koło basenu, ręczniki kąpielowe przy barze. Pokoje czyste i komfortowe, obsługa miła i pomocna. Jeżeli będę wracał na Maderę z pewnością wybiorę ten hotel. Klimatyzacja w pokoju, choć nie używałem. Mogę z pewnością polecić ten hotel.

Lokalizacja jest świetna. Jednak tuż przed udostępnieniem pokoju z widokiem na ocean dali jednak widok na dziedziniec. Śniadanie jest normalne. Podczas zameldowania nie otrzymali bezpłatnego kieliszka wina, ponieważ otrzymali go wszyscy goście. Mimo, że przyjechałem późno, spodziewałem się kieliszka - to oznaka uwagi wobec gościa. Z basenu roztacza się wspaniały widok na Grand Marina. Poza tym w pokoju nie było nawet butelki wody pitnej, to też bałagan.

The hotel is about 4 km away, and we had a rental car. The service is excellent, the staff is very friendly and helpful without exception. We had breakfast accommodation so I can't say anything about dinner, but breakfast is excellent, with abundantly of everything anyone wants as breakfast. The room is very spacious and very clean and is maintained daily. A recommendation for anyone who finds no problem the distance to the centre. Very good price quality ratio.

Gorąco polecam, obsługa recepcji bardzo miła i pomocna, pokoje sprzątane codziennie, ładny widok z balkonu, nie ma klimatyzacji, ale jest wentylator. Ładne, duże pokoje, duże i wygodne łóżka, żel pod prysznic w łazience i ręczniki zmieniane codziennie. Basen na dachu i leżaki. Smaczne śniadania, regularnie uzupełniane, dobre soki i kawa, jedyne co to to, że na kanapkę nie ma warzyw.

A lovely Hotel, with a high level of service and a great restaurant an amenities. The location is only good for those willing to taxi or drive to Funchal- otherwise it is a 30-35minite walk, allow more time for the way back all uphill. The decor of the rooms is dated- very 1990s in style, the carpet is wearing thin in places. The pool side area is nice but could benefit from a modernization to make the decor match the level of service. Can't fault the stay otherwise. Shout out to Sandra, the Maitre 'd, D for her amazing level of service. Obregado!

Zarezerwowaliśmy pokój trzyosobowy 3 łóżka w ostatniej chwili z ceną za późnego ptaka. Jednak dali nam pokój dwuosobowy 2 łóżka. Znajduje się na 1. piętrze, tuż obok kortu tenisowego, w którym jest dość głośno. Jest 31 stopni F i nie ma klimatyzacji. Tylko jedno małe okno można otworzyć, aby zapewnić dostęp świeżego powietrza, ale jest ono skierowane w stronę ścieżki pieszej, z której wielu gości ma dostęp do krytego basenu, siłowni... itp. Za mało prywatności. Lokalizacja jest ok, ponieważ wiele małych supermarketów, restauracji i przystanków autobusowych znajduje się w odległości spaceru. Wyposażenie hotelu jest dobre jak na tę cenę.

Апартаменты в центре города, достаточно чисто есть все необходимое, минут и кухня, даже стиральная машина. Микроволновка, чай, кофе. В день заезда подарили бутылку местного вина. Хороший напор воды. Из того что не понравилось, неудобная оплата регионального налога, чтобы его оплатить либо нужно идти к ним в офис, это не в этом же самом здании или отправить iban, плюс администрация отеля не очень внимательны, я им изначально выслала 2 паспорта предупредив что в квартире будет жить 2 человека, но налог от и захотели взять за 3

VVerified MemberThis was a very decent and affordable hotel — nothing fancy or luxurious, but it covers the basics quite well. It’s clean, efficient, and does the job for travelers looking for a simple place to stay. One of the best surprises was that if you’re lucky enough to get a room with ocean views, it really adds a lot of value to the overall experience. That said, there were some clear drawbacks. The room itself felt extremely tight, especially for two people with a couple of suitcases. There was very limited space to move around, which made things feel a bit cramped and uncomfortable. The bathroom was also quite small, and while functional, it lacked the comfort you’d hope for in a multi-day stay. One highlight was the balcony. Though the interior space was tight, the room had a good-sized balcony where we enjoyed golden hour and sunset views — that part was genuinely lovely and added a sense of openness and relaxation we didn’t get inside the room. The most significant downside for me was the parking situation. The hotel only has three official parking spots, which are always full. Given the area is busy and surrounded by in-demand places like grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, and a laundromat, street parking is very limited and expensive. I had to park at a nearby garage, which cost 10 euros overnight. As for the rooftop, the amenities there weren’t particularly impressive — nothing that would stand out compared to more upscale hotels. But once again, the ocean and sunset views from the rooftop are stunning and give you a brief illusion of being at a five-star resort. All in all, this hotel offers good value for money, especially if you’re not planning to spend too much time in the room. It’s a solid base for exploring the area, as long as you’re okay with a few compromises in comfort and convenience.

GGuest UserWe booked a triple room 3 beds last min with late bird price. However they gave us double room 2 beds. It's on the 1st floor just next to tennis court which is quite noisy. It's 31 degree F, no air conditioner. Only 1 tiny window can be opened for fresh air but its facing a foot path with many guests access to the indoor pool, gym...etc. Not enough privacy. Location is ok as many small supermarkets, restaurants and bus stops near by within walking distance. Hotel facilities are good for the price.

VVerified MemberWe were pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Valley View Hotel Encumeada and honestly would have preferred spending more days here over some of the other hotels we stayed at on the island. The front desk staff were incredibly accommodating and available around the clock, always ready to help with anything we needed. While the rooms are a bit outdated, they had everything we needed — a spacious bathroom, comfortable beds, and a charming balcony to relax on. The property also offers plenty of parking and is in an ideal location, very central to many of the island’s most popular hikes. The breakfast was average; it was the same offering each day and much of it would be gone early thanks to the hikers, but the coffee machine was great and always hit the spot. Overall, we would definitely recommend adding extra days at this hotel to your itinerary — you won’t regret it. One last detail worth mentioning is how clean the room was, something my girlfriend specifically appreciated. My only small criticism would be the pillows — each side only had one small, fairly uncomfortable pillow, so that could definitely be improved.

FFabianThe dining room -I was there for the breakfast- is an old one, not so inviting. The breakfast-selection is not so good, as a vegan or vegetarian you can't choose much (only beans & bread), the coffee is okay but not tasty, the juices are not fresh & sugary. There is no big pot for cooking, for two persons it would be good to have one. The bed is good, the fan does its job, the bathroom is big enough, the balcony practical. The location is near to the busline, 30min to walk to the center & there is the Lido promenade (with some places to swim) to the next small city with a small light tunnel for pedestrians, there you can hear/see the surf :) The opening times for the pool are too late in the morning and too short (8.00-20.00). The female staff at the reception with the glasses (saturday evening), didn't manage my wake-up-call for the next morning (the staff at this day showed me that he had no notice for a call), thats not a good one, because sometimes you have to depend on it.

Only 3 mins walk to bus top where can bring you to City Center €1.95 single one way and airport. €5 single one way, €8 return. Walking to City center is about 20-30mins. Only 10mins walk to Forum Madeira shopping mall. Breakfast is good with many choices of fruit, salad, yogurt, ham, eggs, bread, cereals. Indoor, outdoor pool and gym are nice too. We stay in sea and swimming pool view studio with kitchenette. The balcony is wonderful. Staffs are polite and patient. Only one con, no air conditioning in 31 degrees. Only have a ceiling fan.

KKarina CaunaneGreat location, nice size and overall room/amenity quality. Only annoying or rather negative point to note would be the limited h of the reception desk. Several of us arrived in the evening and even though it was indicated that we will be contacted with check in details, we were faced with a locked entrance upon arrival and had to call the number stated there on the board. A person arrived like 30min later only to do the check in process. Same with check out since the housekeeper had to come from another hotel to open the door for us.

The room was cleaned daily and towels were also changed daily. The staff were friendly and happy to help when needed. For a 3star hotel, this hotel has great value for money due to its location, and service. The breakfast was decent and the pool had a great view. The room had a balcony with a beautiful view.

GGuest UserWe spent here 3 nights. Overall nothing to complain. The studio is big. May be it was a little dark but it didn’t bother us a lot. We had everything we needed. Location is good. About 20-25 min by foot to the center if you don’t want to use a car. Parking was a little bit challenge every time but there was no days when we couldn’t leave a car, every time we managed to find a place, sounds good especially when you needn’t to pay for it. The neighbors were quiet, so we slept very well.
