Location: The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient for getting around. It’s just 1.1 km from the central train station, and you can hop on free bus services like the Red CAT, Blue CAT, or Green CAT, with stops only 100m to 250m away—perfect for easy commuting. Behind the hotel lies the stunning Kings Park and Botanic Garden. If you don’t feel like walking the 300m to get there, the Blue CAT will drop you off effortlessly. The accessibility to public transport and nearby attractions is a huge plus. Cleanliness: While the exterior might look a bit dated, the interior is surprisingly spotless. I booked a room for two, but the bedding and pillows provided were enough for four, which was a nice touch. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the cleanliness. Facilities: The private kitchen was a highlight—equipped with a rice cooker, pots, pans, a toaster, a fridge, and enough cutlery, plates, and utensils for four people. They even provide coffee, which I appreciated. However, there are a few downsides: the electric stove is small and outdated, making cooking a bit slow. Also, there’s no salt or basic seasonings provided, nor chopsticks, which might inconvenience Asian guests. The bathroom features a very clean bathtub, but it lacks shampoo and body wash, so you’ll need to bring your own. Despite these minor drawbacks, I’d still rate Mountway Hotel Apartment as the best value for money in its category. It’s practical, comfortable, and ideal for Asian travelers who want to stay longer and cook meals to suit their tastes. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a home-away-from-home experience in Perth!”

„Dotarłem do hostelu o 3 rano, a sprawdzenie było łatwe. Jest w świetnym miejscu, jak 8-minute spacer do Perth City Station. Kuchnia ma mnóstwo rzeczy, takich jak mikrofalówki, frytki powietrzne, tostery, czajniki i wszystkie naczynia, które potrzebujesz, plus dużo miejsca, aby wywiesić i jeść.”

„U can find everything essentials here. Comfortable sleeping bed, friendly staffs, spacious kitchen & outdoor dining area, had my self cooked dinner here. U can meet many ppl frm diff countries. Easy to access by Transperth bus 950, walk for 300 meters and u wil get to find tis hotel.”

„That was great and cleaner than I expected . Pretty much everything in the room, except kitchen. This hostel isn’t typical party hostel. I reckon everyone would stay there without stress. I’d love to stay here again if I’ve got chance.”

„I had a lovely stay at The Local Hotel. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had plans to spend a night on Rottnest Island before checking in for two nights at the hotel, and they kindly allowed us to store our luggage a day early. It was such a big favor and made our trip much more convenient. When we arrived, our luggage was already in our room, which was a nice touch. The room itself was stylish and modern. We opted for a corner room, which had three large windows, filling the space with natural light. The lighting in the room was also well done, creating a pleasant ambiance. Although the toilet and bathroom were shared, and there was some noise from the bar's music, the overall experience was enjoyable. These minor inconveniences were overshadowed by the positive aspects of our stay. Overall, I think The Local Hotel as a lovely place to stay. We had a nice experience.”

„Geraldton backpacker is a nice little historical building that has been repurposed for backpacker stay! The lady at the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The shared kitchen is big and well equipped for almost any cooking!”

„One of my favourite stays in Perth. Room was clean, felt extremely homey and a great selection of teas were provided. Only downside was the music from the bar, though it did stop on the dot at 12am. The occasional passing vehicle could also be heard in the morning. Welcome drink from the bar downstairs was a nice touch!”
