The room with the view of Mount Fuji was amazing; just looking at it made me feel so much more peaceful. The hotel offered complimentary snacks and drinks, and the dinner was also very good. The service was thoughtful and attentive. They provide a shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko Station. When you need a pickup, you can go to the nearby tourist information center and ask staff to call the hotel. After confirming your booking name and nationality, a car will be sent over very quickly. P.S. Make sure to keep your key safe! There's a 10,000 JPY fine if you lose it at checkout.

【Location】The hotel's location isn't ideal, a bit secluded. It's surrounded by Japanese residential homes. If you want to eat or go out, you'll need to walk about 12 minutes to Kawaguchiko Station. The hotel is on a hillside, so it's on a slope. If you have luggage, you can reserve the hotel's shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko Station. It's most convenient if you're driving. We hired a car from Hakone, which cost 900 JPY for an Alphard for 1 hour and 13 minutes. The hotel offers a free shuttle service from 8 AM to 10 AM, round-trip to Platform 10 of Kawaguchiko Station (at 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 6:00 PM) and Fujikyu Highland Bus Stop (at 2:15 PM, 5:00 PM). It's a 900-meter, 12-minute walk to Kawaguchiko Station, or a 600 JPY taxi ride. There's a large supermarket nearby. 【Highlights】You can enjoy a magnificent view of Mount Fuji from every floor! The rooftop terrace is available for BBQ. Considering the inconvenience of dining nearby, we opted for a 'one-night, two-meals' plan, which includes breakfast and dinner. We spent our anniversary with my girlfriend in Kaneyamaen, and our experience was above and beyond. Starting with the shuttle option provided by the hotel from Mishima station, which also took us to Oshino hakkai, what a gorgeous place, before ending up at the hotel. We were really satisfied of our driver who shared facts about Yamanashi prefecture and Fuji. Our check-in process was also a really nice experience. From the moment we arrived we felt the hospitality of the hotel service crew. They escorted us to our room and helped with our luggage. Staying at a Sanri-Comfort Western Room, we had access to 2 lounges, where in one of them we had access to many kind of amazing wine from Yamanashi, among other tasty snacks. We choose our yukata and headed for matcha tasting. This is located in another part of the building which also gives us a peak at the wonderful garden. The matcha and snack we received helped us settle in with the calm garden view. Then came dinner. My god, the dinner was above and beyond. Neither of us had an 8 course dinner before with such a perfect service and absolutely amazing food. Hats of to the restaurant and service crew. Truly impressed. We decided to walk of the calories in the hotels beautiful garden at night. The illumination creates a really romantic experience. After this, we attended the Taiko drum show, which is organized by the hotel crew. First time for me and I can say it definitely made our experience even more special. Fantastic work. Then the star of the show. The open-air bath on the balcony. The sight of Mt. Fuji early morning from the bath, was a magical experience which we'll never forget. The buffet breakfast provides a great selection of food and drinks, rest assured we left very pleased. All in all, this was an extraordinary stay for us. Nothing but max points. Wish we'll have the chance to visit again.

The views are truly incredible, especially when you are as lucky as us and get clear skies for two days in a row. It’s hard to describe or show with photos the awe of Mount Fuji! You’re certainly paying for a view at La Vista Fuji, but that’s not to say the service isn’t also incredible. Many English speaking staff and always willing to try to help even if it takes a little longer to understand each other. The building is getting a bit dated and there were signs of maintenance and cleaning slipping just a little bit. Mainly cob webs in the hall ways and some expected wear and tear in the bathing areas and other parts of the building. Nothing to worry about, when the rooms themselves are kept clean and tidy.

This 40-year-old hotel is incredibly well-maintained and has a charming, cozy, vintage vibe. We opted for a Mount Fuji view room, and if the weather cooperates, you get stunning views of Fuji-san. Hotel guests also have access to the nearby hot spring baths, about a five-minute walk away, though a heads-up: those with tattoos are not permitted. The breakfast spread is fantastic, offering a wide variety of both Japanese and Western options. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the entrance of Fuji-Q Highland amusement park, and there's a fantastic Italian restaurant downstairs. The food there is absolutely delicious – I went three times during my two-day stay! Highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Mercure Yatsugatake as a family traveling with a baby. The hotel is surrounded by nature, with beautiful views of the mountains, which immediately creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere — perfect for families who want to slow down and breathe. The hotel is very family-friendly. Traveling with a baby can be stressful, but the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everyone was kind, patient, and attentive, which really made a difference for us as parents. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with enough space to comfortably stay with a baby. We especially appreciated the peaceful environment at night, which allowed our baby (and us!) to rest well. The facilities were also well suited for families. The common areas are easy to navigate with a stroller, and the overall layout of the hotel feels relaxed and not overwhelming. The natural surroundings add a special charm and make the stay feel refreshing and rejuvenating. Overall, Grand Mercure Yatsugatake is an excellent choice for families with babies who are looking for comfort, tranquility, and good service in a beautiful natural setting. We would definitely consider coming back and recommend it to other families traveling with young children.

They offer a shuttle service from Kawaguchiko Station, which takes about five minutes to reach the hotel. The hotel is a bit old-school, showing its age, but the room I booked had a view of Mount Fuji. The buffet was excellent, and the alcoholic drinks were also self-service. It's just a five-minute walk to the cable car station, which is great for avoiding crowds in the morning.

I absolutely loved the hotel's style. It has a very tranquil and peaceful atmosphere that makes the world feel less chaotic. This time, I stayed in the Butterfly room. From the moment I was picked up at the station by the staff to the check-in introduction, everything about the stay was fantastic 👍🏻. Also, breakfast was personally escorted to the Dining Room by the staff, and I was completely full after the meal 🤣. Oh, by the way, everyone should try the inconspicuous little ramen stand diagonally opposite the hotel at the traffic light 🍜. It was my first time hearing that a street food stall required a reservation, and I waited an hour before finally 'cutting in' to get a spot 😂. It's just less than a minute away, directly opposite the hotel at the traffic light. The taste was really good for that area. Finally, thanks again to the hotel staff for their thoughtful arrangements.

Staying here when visiting Lake Kawaguchiko to see Mount Fuji was absolutely the right choice! Our room faced Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko directly, offering an unbeatable view. We booked a Japanese-Western style room, which was divided into two separate areas. It can accommodate up to 4 people with extra futons, perfect for families or friends traveling together. The hotel includes a Japanese dinner, which is served directly to your room. Enjoying a meal while admiring Mount Fuji creates an amazing ambiance. There's also a delightful happy hour until 6:30 PM, where all soft drinks and beer are free and unlimited – talk about incredible value for money! Downstairs, there are separate public onsen baths for men and women. Today, I had the women's bath all to myself. Soaking in the quiet, spacious bath while gazing at the lake and mountains was so relaxing, I didn't want to leave! It was truly a triple-S experience. The service was attentive and gentle throughout, making the entire stay a perfect 10. This place is definitely on my list for a second visit; I'll choose it again when I return to Mount Fuji!
