„Check in took quite some time as there were many guests checking in at 3pm. The hotel has a western ryokan feel. It has 2 onsens which they alternate between men and women and I suggest going to both. The one on level 5 has a waterfall view. Dinner was buffet style and the variety was great. I super love the fresh Sashimi, the miso soup, the tempura and sushi, snow crab etc. Room was clean and spacious with our own outdoor Onsen bath. Would love to come back.”

„Managed to get on the last boat ride across Lake Ashi and was there in time for the hotel shuttle pick up. It was pitch dark out around 5pm during Japan's autumn however the hotel lobby is cozy and inviting, one that is full of history. The friendly front desk handed me a key with a large wooden key chain, and I checked out the large room prior to my dinner timing. There's a door to partition the bedroom and toilet/entrance area which felt nice. Dinner was a set menu and one that was filling. There are ice machine dispenser at the male onsen level and female onsen was on the highest floor. There's a lift that brings you to right outside the spa so visitors won't have to walk across the lobby area in their yukatas. Onsen was clean and spacious, there's a shower area to clean up, a sauna, outdoor and indoor onsen. Dressing room area has all the amenities you need and the ice popsicle after onsen is a nice touch. Woke up the next morning to catch the sunrise and caught a nice view of golden rays spewing across Lake Ashi, the garden and the glorious Mount Fuji right from my room. 100% recommended staying at this hotel! Had a super filing Japanese breakfast and checked out to explore the rest of Hakone.”

„Wrażenia z pobytu w hotelu były mieszane. Pozytywy: teren hotelu ma bogatą historię, ogród japoński był piękny i stanowił najlepszą część hotelu. Posiłki wliczone w cenę były dobre, ale nie spektakularne – jednak otoczenie z widokiem na ogród japoński było piękne. Negatywne: obiekt był przestarzały i wymagał niewielu poprawek. Dostępny był tylko jeden klucz do zamka, co sprawiło, że moja żona i ja byliśmy bardzo uciążliwi, ponieważ musieliśmy cały czas na siebie czekać. Wejście do onsenów dla mężczyzn musiało przechodzić przez wspólną część dla mężczyzn i kobiet, więc trzeba było się przebrać, żeby tam wejść – niezbyt dobrze. Łaźnia onsen była przestarzała i zużyta. Oświetlenie w pokoju było słabe, a wyposażenie widocznie przestarzałe. Najgorsze było to, że rano po powrocie z kąpieli onsen odkryłem w łazience dużego karalucha. Rozwaliłem go, a zdjęcie jest załączone. Mieliśmy wysokie oczekiwania, wybierając się do hoteli, którym polecali nas japońscy znajomi. Byłem dość rozczarowany. Wcześniej zatrzymywałem się w innych dobrze ocenianych ryokanach i większość z nich spełniała lub przewyższała moje oczekiwania. Ten jednak był daleki od ideału.”

„It is one of the best hotel ever visited, the location is great, near to Gora station, direct bus to Gotemba premium outlet, the room is nice and clean with personal onsen, there are 3 private onsen can be used freely if available. There are even hand grind coffee equipment in the room for you to make coffee. Snack, drink, beer and all beverages are free. Their breakfast and dinner are outstanding, the dinner is 8 course cuisine, take almost 2 hours to complete. Highly recommended. Of course all the services come with a price of almost 40000 yen per person per day, but is really worth it. Will stay in the hotel again if revisit Hakone.”

„We booked a one-night stay with dinner and breakfast. The room was clean, the facilities were good, and the food was tasty. The hot spring was small but clean and comfortable. However, the hotel was under renovation during our stay.”

„Absolutnie uwielbiam to miejsce! Personel jest bardzo przyjazny, a onsen jest czysty i dobrze utrzymany. Są 3 baseny zewnętrzne i 2 kryte, a także łaźnia parowa i sauna, które zapewniają relaksujące wrażenia. Obiekt jest otwarty zarówno na jednodniowe wycieczki, jak i noclegi, ale nocleg jest znacznie lepszy, jeśli chcesz spędzić czas bardziej spokojnie i bez pośpiechu. Jest dostępny fotel do masażu, ale jest płatny. Śniadanie jest również pyszne i zdecydowanie warte swojej ceny. Jedynym minusem jest lokalizacja — nie jest zbyt wygodna i wymaga trochę chodzenia. Jeśli podróżujesz na lekko, jest to możliwe. Mają płatny autobus wahadłowy, ale jego rozkład nie jest najlepszy. Spacer może być przyjemny, jeśli pogoda jest ładna, lub możesz zdecydować się na taksówkę. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, zdecydowanie zarezerwuję to miejsce ponownie ze względu na relaksującą atmosferę!”

„The entrance is right in front of Gora Station, so transportation wouldn't be an issue. Plenty of shops and places to eat around the station, but they close pretty early. The front desk staff can speak English and explained everything clearly, from the type of onsen, the bathing hours, meals, and how to get to our rooms (it was in a separate building). The onsen are great, the outdoor private bathtub is great, but the water cools off pretty quickly in winter. The room is very spacious and they also provide an extra futon. I could do a bit of work comfortably in the rooms while resting. They have a bunch of amenities at the lobby, you could make tea, coffee, get some ice cream and bring them to your rooms. The breakfast and dinner were very delicious. You need reservations for meals since the seats are limited.”

„This is a wonderful place nestled in the forest. The hot springs have both indoor and outdoor baths, and the best part is they're private, so families or friends can relax and enjoy without worrying about other guests. The ryokan staff were all incredibly kind, making it feel just like home. (They offer Japanese, Chinese, and English services, so I think international guests can stay here comfortably.)”

„I had a wonderful stay at Rakuten Stay Fujimi Terrace! The day before check-in, I received an email with the entrance code, which made the whole process very smooth. The room was exactly as described on the website—with large windows offering an incredible view of Mt. Fuji, the torii gate, and the lake. The scenery alone made it more than worth it. We had eight people staying in two 4-person rooms located on the third floor. One of the rooms was slightly larger and had extra bedding stored in the closet—enough to comfortably sleep two additional people. There were two bathrooms and two toilets in total, which was perfect for a group or family. The main bathroom included a sauna, hot spring-style bath, shower area, double sinks, a washing machine, and a water dispenser. The second bathroom had a separate shower area and a single sink. Both toilets were separated spaces from bathrooms with high-tech with bidet functions and small sinks. The large dining table and spacious sofa area easily seated all of us. We spent many relaxing moments on the balcony, soaking our feet in the warm onsen foot bath, chatting, and admiring the stunning view. The kitchen was fully equipped with a dishwasher, detergent, a large fridge stocked with complimentary drinks, a capsule coffee machine, and a Japanese rice cooker that made delicious rice. The beds were on the firmer side but still soft and very comfortable. It was just a 3-minute walk along the lake to the 7-Eleven, accessible by elevator from the building. The nearby pier was where we boarded the pirate ship cruise, and about 13 minutes further along the lake was the Peace Torii—a fantastic photo spot. Don’t forget to grasp some delicious bread at “bakery and table” before boarding to the ship. After check-out, we stored our luggage in the lockers at Motohakone Port, took the pirate ship to Togendai, transferred to the ropeway to Sounzan, and visited Gora and Kowakudani before taking the mountain bus back to Motohakone to pick up our luggages. There are 4 lockers for suitcase up to 32 inches ¥700, 12 lockers for 24 inches ¥600, and 10 lockers for smaller size of bags ¥400. From there, we had a pre-arranged shuttle take us back to Tokyo. The whole route was smooth and well-organized—perfect for a larger group traveling without a car. Overall, I highly recommend Rakuten Stay!”

„Nice service! English level of the staff is good. The western meal is good, especially the soup. The hot spring is good and I felt good with the skin. I left on the Valentine’s Day, I received a gift of a chocolate biscuit from the front reception of the hotel. I hope I will visit the hotel again.”
