„Wow! Words cannot really describe how wonderful this place is. We took the bus from Shangrila and the hotel picked us up at a designated spot for a quick 5 minute drive through some of the most spactacular mountain sunset views. Check in was quick, easy and within minutes we were shown to our room. The room was huge with a floor to ceiling window facing Meili Mountain, a bathtub and projector with huge screen. The sofa was so big I began to think it was a bed. The shower and toilet were spotlessly clean with beautiful large warm towels as well as some quality toiletries and bathrobes. The bedroom was well appointed with very large bed, writing desk and a good oxygen supply. The whole place had underfloor heating which was super comfortable. This little hotel has a rooftop bar/cafe with the most spectacular views. Drinks range from tea and coffee to some cocktails all of which are served with snacks by a very pleasant young man. He was super helpful each time we visited the bar and even made sure the stove was well stocked with logs on the night we wanted to stay late to see the stars. We had local breakfast at the hotel each morning which was of excellent quality and very filling. We also had our evening meals at the hotel and the quality was excellent with great flavour and variety. The staff are all super helpful and were able to recommend some local spots to visit as well as arrange a car to Feilai Temple and a car to take us back to Shangrila for a great price. The whole experience at Deqen Meili GY Banshan Homestay made me wish I had booked more nights. It was the highlight of my trip to Yunnan and I will definitely stay here again next time. I can highly recommend and I miss it so much!”

The hotel has an excellent view of Meili Snow Mountain from its observatory deck on the 5th floor, although the view from the room is partially obstructed by a building on the right-hand side. The reception hall is impressive, and we received a warm welcome with afternoon tea, nighttime desserts, and group activities organized by the hotel, including fireworks. We were very fortunate to catch the Geminid meteor shower during our stay and were able to watch it comfortably from our room—and, of course, to admire Meili Snow Mountain at sunrise.”

„We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in town, offering breathtaking views right from our room (for sunset and sunrise see photos). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude. The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening. Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!”

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was no ordinary stay—it was an experience touched with thoughtfulness, serenity, and care. We were graciously upgraded to a room that offered an uninterrupted view of the majestic Meili Snow Mountain, allowing us to take in its quiet grandeur from the comfort of our own space. It was a gesture that did more than offer convenience—it created a sense of peace that stayed with us throughout our time there. The service staff were nothing short of extraordinary. With every interaction, they brought warmth, grace, and a genuine desire to make us feel at home. Their quiet attentiveness and heartfelt hospitality added so much depth to the stay, turning each moment into something memorable. This is a place that leaves a mark on your heart. I will miss it dearly and carry the memories with me until I return again. Lovely hotel with great view, although the weather was not good during the two days we stayed, we still had a great time despite not seeing the full meri mountains. They had promotional activities during the 5/1 holiday where we hand painted tongka, and made ******* weaving stone accessories. The staff was kind and polite. The design of the architecture is stunning, I would recommend all couples to stay at this hotel. The only downside is that nighttime dinner options are very limited, recommend guests to walk out to nearby premises to have dinner instead. The breakfast at this hotel was nice.

The room is great and has a good view. It even comes equipped with an oxygen machine and heated blanket. The location is convenient, just a short walk away from the Feilaisi Observation Deck. The service is warm and friendly. I felt very at home here. You get a discount when you eat at their restaurant too. Highly recommended and I would definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for one of the most affordable ways to wake up to the breathtaking sight of the Meili Snow Mountain, look no further than FANSU at WUNONGDING. Our stay here was nothing short of incredible. The primary reason for our visit was the sacred Meili Snow mountain, and the view absolutely delivered. Waking up to that majestic panorama right outside our window was a highlight of our entire trip. For the value, it's an unbeatable location. The hospitality here is what truly sets FANSU apart. The staff are super helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make us feel not just like guests, but like family. They created a homey and comfortable atmosphere that made it hard to leave. A special memory was made on our last evening when the staff taught us how to sing the beautiful ******* song ”FLY” by ANU. It was a spontaneous, joyful moment that we will cherish forever. A super big thank you to them for that! Regarding the food: we found the meals to be absolutely yummy and comforting. While we've seen some comments about the dinner being expensive, we found it perfectly reasonable for our usual dining expenditure, and more importantly, the quality and taste justified it. The breakfast was also lovely and set us up perfectly well for the day. We left with full hearts, amazing photos, and great memories. If you want an authentic, warm, and unforgettable experience facing the Meili Snow Mountain, we cannot recommend FANSU highly enough. Just to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain. Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather. The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time. One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit. All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

It started off not too well. Our driver took us to a wrong hotel, a hotel which was grander, more beautiful and it faces the Meili Mountain! We were so disappointed when we found out that that was not the hotel we booked. Even though Deqin Zangshan Yunju Hotel is not facing the Meili Mountain, it does provide shuttle to the viewing platform. The lady driver was waiting for us to take us there before the sunrise. It was a good thing too, our own guide and driver failed to show up to take us there!!!! When one can only see the sunrise on Meili for 67 days out of 365 days a year, it came as no surprise that we did not see the sunrise due to cloud cover. All is not lost though since this hotel faces the Baima Mountain and we did catch a beautiful sunrise from the hotel. The 4th floor rooftop is perfect for that. We had the 270 degree room which offers a fantastic view, but the windows were not cleaned as well, so taking photos from the room was not as good. The breakfast was adequate. It would be nice if they could prepare a bit more. I am sure if I asked, they would make more for me though. No regrets staying at this great hotel. The hotel is located close to the Fellei temple.

Facilities: The whole smart home system was very convenient, the room was spacious, and the underfloor heating was lovely. The oxygen concentrator also had a nasal cannula option. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: It's directly opposite the Feilai Temple bus stop, which is super convenient, and only a few hundred meters from the viewing platform. Service: Excellent! Both ladies were very sweet and promptly helped resolve any issues.

I had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect—just about 20 minutes from the busy town center, which makes it wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Every morning, I woke up to an amazing mountain view that instantly set the tone for a relaxing day. The property itself is stunning, especially the vineyard, which adds so much charm. I loved the free wine tasting sessions, and the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made the experience feel personal. The food was excellent, with every meal prepared thoughtfully and bursting with flavor. For those who love a bit of adventure, the ATV facilities are a fantastic addition. We also enjoyed grape plucking right in the vineyard—such a unique and fun activity! Overall, this place is a perfect blend of tranquility, great service, and memorable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with a touch of adventure. One small issue I had was that the air-conditioner was blowing warm air, but after I informed the team, they fixed it within a short time. Great service and quick response — really appreciated it!
