„The location is excellent, about 200 meters from Huayan Temple, just southeast of the Bell Tower roundabout. It's at the entrance to the pedestrian street, making it very convenient for sightseeing. However, the location also presents a problem: parking is not available. The area outside is very noisy, especially late at night, with a large crowd of people. There are also many families with children, who frequently run around in the hallways. Hygiene: Newly opened, with complete facilities. Service: The owner is warm and attentive. There's a knife-cut noodle shop nearby, which the owner recommends.”

„If you want a more authentic experience than staying in a fancy hotel, this is your place. Mrs Liu (sp?) was so lovely and helpful. She speaks a bit of English and is very fast on the translation apps for what she doesn’t know. She gave us a map of the Ancient City and explained where we should visit. Every day she gave us water bottles. We stayed 2 nights. You can experience a kang bed here, in a cozy room in a quaint courtyard. It was quite firm but still comfortable. There is air con which was needed when we were there. The bathroom is small but we found that everything didn’t get wet, despite the small size of the room. The inn is on the “taxi-bus” route just off South Street. As it is a block from the Main Street it is significantly quieter as the honking of “taxi-buses” doesn’t happen as much in the alleyways. Just be careful to walk on the sides of the road as the mopeds and taxi-buses are electric so quiet, except for the honking which is loud and constant, and they drive quite fast for the size and busyness of the streets. There is plenty of food places just a short walk away from the hotel. The ancient city was a lot more touristy than we had expected. You need to prearrange with the innkeeper to organise a “taxi-bus” to pick you up from the South Gate. Regular cars are not allowed inside the city wall. We were dropped by the DiDi but it is too far and busy to walk with luggage to the inn. Mrs Liu and her husband helped us out with their mopeds. Not many “taxi-bus” drivers know the inn as it is a smaller private hotel, so make sure you have the address printed out to show them. The taxi-bus is 10RMB pp per ride and you can flag them down anywhere on the streets they are allowed on, but they may not want to go where you want to go, so just flag another one until you get one that agrees. You scan the drivers QR code to pay. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Pingyao Yunshu Inn.”

„This hotel is very good price and clean, its location is very near to Taiyuan South Railway station. I can easily come to this hotel from Taiyuannan station by taking subway for 1 station to Xutandongjie station (Exit D1), then turn right at the road corner, then walk for 300 meters. This hotel provides all the necessary facilities (toothbrush, hair dryer, towels, water bottle, and etc. It's very good and convenient to stay in this hotel. The staff are polite and helpful, and I really appreciate their assistance. The bed is also large size and good quality nice to sleep 💤. The shower room and toilet are also very clean. I had a great experience during my 4-day stay. I will come back to stay at this hotel again next time.”

„Near linfen west railway station with limited food options nearby. Provide free laundry service with smart washing machine(it will auto add the detergent)and dryer. The design of the toilet floor is flawed as the floor height is even, hence the water near the toilet bowl sink can't be washed away and resulting in flooding.”

„Had a lovely stay here! I was in a 12 bed dorm but the room is very spacious and has a private bathroom/shower, all super clean, and then bed was comfy. The only thing is that the bedlight makes a sound every time it’s turned on/off: it’s funny but I was a bit worried to bother other guests. Ah, I was also able to do my laundry with no fees and was even given a little welcome bag. The location although not within the city walls is close to several bus stops and one can ride a bike easy to all the major attractions ~ which was a lovely way to explore Datong. The best thing is the staff though: incredibly helpful and friendly. On my last day they let me stay past the checkout time so that I could keep on working using their WiFi which was a massive massive help, and offered to lend me an umbrella and drive me as the rain was so heavy. Most def recommend staying here when you visit Datong!”

The sanitary details are strictly controlled, the whole house is clean and transparent, the quality of toiletries is good, and the living feeling is refreshing and comfortable. The staff always maintain a good service attitude, do things seriously and responsible, the service is intimate and thoughtful, and get along very well. The breakfast tastes delicious and authentic, and the taste is excellent. Every breakfast is comfortable and satisfying. While enjoying the classical and elegant architectural scenery, while enjoying the modern intelligent living experience, the new house environment is comfortable and healthy, the service is intimate and the food is delicious. „Good location opposite the train station. Friendly reception man. Rooms sound proof to be thought of. Can hear room doors closing, people from above moving about. And for non smokers beware! After closing all the doors and windows tightly. Smoke still enters the room. Maybe need to seal the doors below. Compact room but with price paid, sacrifices needed 😊”
