Eurohostel has a very convenient location, making it easy to get around the city. I have traveled all over Europe, and this is honestly one of the top three best hostels I’ve ever stayed in.
The rooms are spacious, with large lockers that are free to use, which is a big plus. There are three well-equipped kitchens, so cooking is easy even when the hostel is busy.
In the morning, guests can enjoy a free sauna, which is an amazing bonus and quite rare for a hostel. The laundry and dryer are very affordable, much cheaper than most places in Europe.
Overall, great facilities, excellent value for money, and a very comfortable stay. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to other travelers.
Great places, only had one roommate super peaceful hostel, ferry was absolutely on time so make sure you schedule yourself for that otherwise it’s a solid 40 mins wait in winter.
All good, I would like to praise the two guys for keeping the hygiene etc for the whole place spick and span from kitchen to rooms. They are doing an excellent job tidying/cleaning it.
Even though the location is served by trams and buses, it's still a bit far from the city centre and public transport is a quite expensive for a single trip.
Love the view of Helsinki. Reasonable price and have the essential.
Confusing hidden entrance and didn’t have any instruction until I contact the hotline. Fortunately, they’ve replied quite swiftly.

The hostel is perfect for travelers in search of a fair accommodation at the heart of helsinki city centre. It’s quite strange though that receptionists and hostel staff are almost never present and the only appearances were the one of the cleaning maid. The result is that guests don’t really communicate or interact no matter the huge living room and sofas and the fact that they all have to share the kitchen amenities. What happens is that the level of tidiness and accountability for the usage of mugs, plates, cutlery depends on your luck and the guests who check in each and every day. By the last day we had partygoers stopping only for a night out and cans of pepsi and a bottle of vodka were left on the common table (not sure if it was a shy invite to indulge) while the sink and the dishwasher were crammed with badly rinsed stuff. It’s a pity cause the common showers, the toilets and the rooms were fairly clean, we simply expected the typical hostel experience where you manage to socialize a bit more thanks to the staff.
Senate Hotel, although basic, is situated well for local attractions - 10 minutes walk from the shops/ restaurants/nightlife of Helsinki city centre; 15 minutes walk from the harbour, if you arrive by ferry; and right next to Senate Square/Helsinki Cathedral. The hotel, itself, is based in an apartment building, on the fifth floor, and has ten rooms. There's a five-hour window, in which there's a receptionist to meet you (3-8pm). Outside of this time, you are given a code to enter the main door of the building, and then the front door of the hotel section, which I had to do. As it turned out, a friendly staff member was still there when I arrived, and I was fortunate enough to be given a free room upgrade. The double room I was given, was larger than average, and included a wash basin and small refrigerator. The bathroom and toilets are shared, but clean with a good, strong shower, and separate men's and women's toilets. There's also a small shared kitchen, so you could prepare food. My hotel room had a comfy bed, and good thick enough curtains which, if you're here in the height of Summer, means you won't be woken by the sunrise before 4am! The decor is a bit dated, but if you need info on what to do, where to go, and what's happening in Helsinki, there's lots of information. This is more of a short-stay hotel - a few days, at most, but if you need a well-located, warm, simple place to base yourself while in the city, this is actually a good choice.

Our room also was clean and there was enough room for three people, 2 adults and 1 children. Hotel is located in peaceful area, so we get good sleep even the window was open.

Very Good
GGuest UserI think it was a fantastic hotel for the price.
However, the doors were thin, so you could hear everything from the hallway, and the initial check-in process was very confusing; having to press the intercom was a drawback.
NNoushleoIt was good .. location right in the central location . Checking in was smooth , they emailed me the passcode for doors in the downstairs and third floor .. they gave me check in , an hour early .. washroom were clean , as the kitchen too .. you can make coffees all the time , for free .. a restaurant is there , cross the street , an Malaysian food , giving buffet for 14 euro , which was real good .. 599 meters , another restaurant REX , buffet is priced at 12.50 euro
GGuest UserThe distance is very close. There is no self-service check-in. The environment is not bad. There are shared bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens. You need to bring your own ingredients. The price is high and it is only about 1.5 kilometers away from Vantaa Airport. It is very cost-effective for those who want to travel for a short time or transfer. It's like living in a semi-forest! The heater is not very warm and the temperature is a bit low. I don’t know if the cold spot will be higher!

GGuest UserI spent a few nights in one of the shared dorm and found the stay fairly good overall. The dorm was tidy, and it was useful that each bunk had a power socket. There was also a spacious locker for each guest, operated with the room key. I came across comments raising concerns about locker security, so that may be worth keeping in mind.
There is a shared kitchen for guests to use. Having a supermarket directly below the hostel was very convenient, and public transport is close by, with a tram stop only a short walk away.
On the downside, the toilet had a very unpleasant smell, and the hostel is not especially close to the city centre.
TTommi PiirainenPeaceful place, no noise from the traffic and otherwise also very quiet.
Room had tv, refrigerator and a comfy chair beside the bed.
What can I say? For this price I say this a steal. Also breakfast was very good.
I fully recommend this at least for solo travelleres like I.
SSadieMaltidosNever been to other places in Finland. There is no comparison, so I can't judge, I can only say that this shop is the cheapest shop I can find that can walk to the train station. Dorm room is not bad. The toilet and shower are too tight. I only stayed one night, so it was OK. If you want to stay here for a long time in Helsinki, it won't feel too comfortable. But it is too expensive to book a hotel or bed and breakfast in Finland. So my fellow citizens, don't come to Northern Europe if you have no budget. The staff here is very nice btw. It's not cold, very enthusiastic.
SSHUNICHIROThe view from the 11th floor of a large building is amazing!
You can see the Helsinki CBD.
When entering the building, there were many number pads from other tenants, so it was difficult to get in. The room was relatively clean, but the shared shower and toilet were old. The window did not open and I did not know how to adjust the air conditioner, so it was uncomfortable to sleep. However, for this price, a corner room with twin beds was very reasonable.
