This is the 2nd time with Homestay. I didn’t expect too much since 1st Homestay didn’t leave me a good impression. However, it’s totally different story here. Staff are extremely friendly , services are perfect, amazing food, bedding is comfortable, pet friendly, nice mountain view from room windows directly, very close to Dali old town. A lot of tour tips are also shared, like local cuisine, nice places to check out. Ever remind you about safety everyday. What else more can you expect! I’m happy to stay here but unfortunately the trip has to move on. We will see each other again.

Had a wonderful stay at Mengling Yayuan Hotel in Dali from 19 to 21 December 2025. The staff were exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make my visit memorable—from a smooth check-in to thoughtful local recommendations, their hospitality truly stood out. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with modern amenities that made the stay both comfortable and convenient. I especially enjoyed the daily local breakfast options of noodles or congee, the relaxing afternoon tea, and the delicious desserts served in the evening. As we had an early checkout, the staff thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast for our onward journey, which was greatly appreciated. Perfectly located just a few metres from the entrance to Dali Old Town, the hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. Mengling Yayuan Hotel beautifully blends traditional charm with modern comfort, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for its warm service and excellent facilities.

Staying at this hotel in Dali is like stepping into a live Chinese ink painting! The architectural design is a masterpiece - the moon shaped grey brick and wooden arches frame the golden ginkgo trees and their reflections in the water so beautifully, every corner is Instagram gold. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the tranquil garden vibe makes you forget all city chaos. Apart from the helpful and attentive staff, what truly stands out is the attention to detail in every element, from the traditional tiles to the serene water features. If you’re into authentic Chinese aesthetics and a peaceful retreat, this hidden gem in Dali is a must-stay. Trust me, it’s way more than just a hotel, it’s an immersive cultural experience!

I would like to thank the hotel staff Wendy（赵颖）, during our recent stay at the hotel. Her thoughtfulness and professionalism truly made our holiday in China memorable and pleasant. On the day of our departure, it was raining heavily when we checked out. Wendy went out of her way to assist us —*holding an umbrella and escorting us to our cab so that we would not get wet. This small yet heartfelt gesture perfectly reflected her dedication and kindness. Wendy’s actions went far beyond what we expected. Her warmth, initiative, and genuine concern turned what could have been a simple hotel stay into an experience we will always remember fondly. Employees like Wendy truly embody the spirit of hospitality and represent your hotel at its very best.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this resort and were very impressed by the level of service provided. The staff were extremely attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. Tea time and breakfast were available to be served in the room upon request, and they also provided cleaning services for our clothes. The team took really good care of us, recommending great food options around the resort and ensuring we were well looked after. They even helped to transport our luggage to the nearest pick-up point so that we could easily book a cab, which was greatly appreciated. Another highlight was the photography service. The resort engages professional photographers, and we were able to take beautiful photos within the resort as lasting memories of our trip. Overall, the service was exceptional, warm, and genuine. We felt very well taken care of and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent hospitality.

My entire stay was excellent. The front desk staff were warm, thoughtful, and communicated with a gentle and patient demeanor. They proactively informed me about hotel amenities and gave helpful tips for local attractions. Their efficiency was impressive. The room was spotlessly clean, the environment was quiet, and I had a very high-quality rest. You could feel the attention to detail in every aspect, and the value for money was great. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in the area.

Yunduan Nanshe Homestay to wyjątkowy, ale bardzo niedrogi hotel położony w pobliżu starożytnego miasta Dali. Możesz idealnie zaplanować pobyt na jedną lub dwie noce swoich wakacji w tym miejscu, aby cieszyć się wszystkimi zabytkami i atrakcjami w okolicy hotelu. Hotel nie jest zły jak na swoją cenę. Personel jest przyjazny, a pokoje mają wszystkie udogodnienia, w tym klimatyzację, bezpłatne Wi-Fi, przybory toaletowe, ręczniki, suszarkę do włosów, szczoteczkę do zębów, szampon i mydło. Hotel ma odkryty basen na dachu z pięknym widokiem na miasto. Hotel jest otoczony wieloma restauracjami, kawiarniami i barami w odległości 10 minut lub mniej spacerem.

設施：齊全，傢俱都是大品牌，使用體驗感很好 衞生：每天都會有阿姨來打掃衞生，而且房間各處原本也都挺乾淨的 環境：當之無愧的海景房，即便哪個景點都不去，在酒店看着洱海放空，也是一種享受。大廳，位置也很寬敞，佈置很温馨，景色也很不錯 服務：有點遺憾，沒有品嚐到店裡的下午茶，因為下午的時間段都規劃了其他的行程，出門了。店裡還有洗衣和K歌棋牌服務等都沒來得及去體驗。每天早晨下樓都可以吃到阿姨煮的早餐，可以自己選擇吃什麼。 做了非常多的攻略選擇的這家酒店，價格相對來説會貴一點，五百多一晚，但物有所值，居住的體驗感和這趟遊玩都非常不錯！！從大理回來後，一直有戒斷反應，下次有時間還想在大理多玩幾天。 酒店的位置挺不錯的，樓下就是洱海的生態廊道，打車非常方便，下車就有定位點，網約車可以開進來。去大理古城，蒼山，鳳陽邑和下關市區都很近。 民宿老闆人也非常隨和，最後一天走的時候，我們是先把行李寄放在了前台，還出去玩了一趟再回酒店，老闆安排了送機。 發自內心寫下這一篇評價，希望能夠給有需要的朋友一點參考！

I'll cover prices, floor choices, hidden costs, and food and drink, so first-timers can just copy this plan! 💰 Room Prices & Floor Pitfalls ▪️ Standard Rooms: 400-600 RMB/night No underwater view, great value for money if you just need a place to stay. ▪️ Underwater View Rooms: 1600-1900 RMB/night Prices vary by floor, and here’s the key thing to avoid! ❌ Definitely don’t choose the 1st floor! The floor is too low, the window is quite small, you can only see corals and small bottom-dwelling fish. Photos turn out very ordinary, and the experience is poor. ✅ Go for the 2nd floor first! Best value for money overall! The price is moderate, the viewing window is super large, and the view is expansive. You’ll get great photos effortlessly. Call the front desk in advance to reserve a room with a good view. We stayed in room 8220, and the view was quite good. ⭕ The 3rd floor is slightly more expensive. The view isn't significantly different from the 2nd floor. If you're looking for value, just go for the second floor. ⚠️ Charged Activities The mermaid and golden storm performances, which used to be free, are now all charged! 200 RMB per show. Other self-funded interactive activities: ▫️ Touching dolphins for a photo: 100 RMB ▫️ Feeding seals: 50 RMB ▫️ Feeding penguins: 100 RMB ✅ Perks Worth Praising Booking a room includes a complimentary diving experience 🤿. There are no hidden secondary charges, which is really thoughtful! 🍜 Food and Drink ▫️ The mini-bar in the room has a rich variety of snacks and drinks, all free of charge. ▫️ There are very few restaurants around the hotel. If you want a proper meal, you'll need to take a taxi for about 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can order takeout or dine at the hotel. ▫️ The hotel’s own breakfast is of good quality, and the à la carte dishes in the restaurant are also very reasonably priced. (It’s advisable to order takeout in advance, as delivery times can be quite long.) Many people think almost 2000 RMB for one night is expensive. But seeing the kids pressed against the window, watching the underwater world with eyes full of surprise and wonder ✨, makes all the expenses feel super worth it! A true fairy-tale experience exclusively for children! 👧🏻
