„Very nice room and perfect location, easy access to ancient town, there's a shop that rents e-bikes nearby so you can rent and save your energy by riding e-bikes around the ancient town. Room is spacious, and beds are comfy. There's also a jacuzzi. Kids really love it!”

„Excellent stay in Honglongjing hotel. Nested in the heart of Dali ancient town, you will experience Dali's vibrant atmosphere and bustling streets. The hotel's service is impeccable. Service was prompt and we were treated to Chinese tea ceremony. The villa rooms were very spotless. The only downside was the road closures around the ancient town. This made it difficult to get to the hotel with luggage. You need a 5-10 min walk to get to the hotel as buses and cars are not allowed in the ancient town. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience”

„The room is decent. Frontdesk is helpful and kind. They even help to carry my heavy luggage ( upon my request) as the taxi drop off point is 100m away due to a road repair works affecting its normal access. The hotel rooftop balcony is perfect to see the lake and to watch sunrise and sunset. To get good dinner meal options, I still recommend to travel to the ancient town. The durian (Thai and Vietnamese) in dali and Lijiang are the cheapest around in the country that I can find correct at the time and season of travel.”

Quick response to questions via WeChat group chat with the staff. Breakfast has 2 options - Chinese style with rice noodles or Western style with spaghetti. Both are very delicious.
