„Had a wonderful stay at Mengling Yayuan Hotel in Dali from 19 to 21 December 2025. The staff were exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make my visit memorable—from a smooth check-in to thoughtful local recommendations, their hospitality truly stood out. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with modern amenities that made the stay both comfortable and convenient. I especially enjoyed the daily local breakfast options of noodles or congee, the relaxing afternoon tea, and the delicious desserts served in the evening. As we had an early checkout, the staff thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast for our onward journey, which was greatly appreciated. Perfectly located just a few metres from the entrance to Dali Old Town, the hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. Mengling Yayuan Hotel beautifully blends traditional charm with modern comfort, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for its warm service and excellent facilities.”

„The location is beautiful. You can see aerhai from the balcony. The room design is very good with the bed facing the balcony. You can see the lake from your bed. Amenities is the room was good too. It's quite modern with voice operated technologies. The toilet is buttun control too. Very impressive. All looked good until we started unpacked. The floor was extremely dirty. We need to mop the floor 3x ourselves as we checked in after 6 pm, no mote cleaners. When i wanted to put things in the cabinets (see picutures), they were very dusty. I need to wiipe clean them first. Even the glass wall of the toilet was dirty. Worst, the last day before checkout, I saw a baby cockroach. Staff was friendly and helpful. You can do laundry but no dryer so need to hang the clothes in the room. No issue as the cabinet is spacious and we asked for extra hangers. Nothing much to say about the breakfast. Very minimalist. We bought our own breakfast the next morning and had it at the balcony. During our stay, there was a pick up or drop off service to train station. The hotel needs to maintain good hygiene.”

„This is the 2nd time with Homestay. I didn’t expect too much since 1st Homestay didn’t leave me a good impression. However, it’s totally different story here. Staff are extremely friendly , services are perfect, amazing food, bedding is comfortable, pet friendly, nice mountain view from room windows directly, very close to Dali old town. A lot of tour tips are also shared, like local cuisine, nice places to check out. Ever remind you about safety everyday. What else more can you expect! I’m happy to stay here but unfortunately the trip has to move on. We will see each other again.”

„FengYou hotel has been the best experience we’ve ever had at a hotel. It’s a small hotel in a beautiful villa in the mountain, with tan incredible lake view and located very near the Dali train station. The staff at the hotel have all been extremely kind, helpful and provided us with all sorts of attentions and details. A true 5 star experience during our entire stay. The facilities of the hotel are awesome, and our room is simply incredible: spacious, modern, beautiful and simply spectacular: the terrace and massive windows with the best possible view, along with the biggest and astonishing bath tub made our stay perfect. All the details included in the stay (afternoon tea with cake, all drinks, the evening mushroom soup…) were just the perfect touch for a great experience. As we mentioned to the staff, we will 100% repeat our stay if we’re back in Dali and definitely recommend the stay to anyone looking for a luxurious stay to enjoy the quality of the hotel. 1000/10”

„Such an amazing place! The people were so helpful with my bags, bringing food to me, helping me locate packages, heat up food, etc. Great breakfast every morning, scooter rentals set up right outside, super nice rooms with wonderful showers. Its small crew of people that work very hard! The only downside is that it is over an hour away from main tourist attractions so if you want to be close to the action then this isnt thr place for you. But if you want a peaceful, chill place next to the water with amazing views and closer to the nature of upper 洱海then this is the place for you!”

„If I could, I’ll give a score of 100/10! This is such a fantastic experience staying here. What is so impressive is the SERVICE and the actual room facilities. The staff is soooooooo friendly and helpful - he basically helped me plan my itinerary every day because I came with zero plans and only wanted to relax. He helped me to plan my route and book a car for day use. And the driver is amazing too - he brought me to try 扎染 tie dye even when I didn’t know anything about it. He made sure I went to a local experience instead of expensive tourist trap. And he’s great at taking photos too! Back to the staff. He would understand what I’m interested in and then give suggestions that I’ll like. Amazing. And there is even a whole list of things to watch out for when visiting all the tourists attractions. When you arrive, they’ll also message you all the places to eat. There is also a convenience store right downstairs if you want to buy anything. They also gives you instructions if you want food delivery. So detailed!! And they are so proud of the fact that their rooms are exactly what it looked like on the app. So clean so new so amazing. Look at that view! You wake up to the view of the vast sea. And there is a giant bath tub for you to experience soaking in bubble bath (also given) at the same time. The toilets are always the make or break when travelling. And the toilets are amazing again. AUTOMATIC flush and the seat cover automatically opens and close. My goodness. And the shower has different outlets if you want some form of water acupuncture 🤣 very modern. And they even have a towel dryer/heater!!! You can dry anything small and it’ll be dry and crisp. Normally hotel pillows give me headaches. But not here! They have the latex foam pillow and also the normal fluffy pillows. It is so suitable and comfortable for me who is accustomed to memory foam pillows. How can accommodation get so detailed and excellent? Breakfast is another wonderful experience. You go the dining area and an aunty cooks porridge or noodles or meat buns or corn or sweet potatoes and serve them to you. There is even soya bean drink and fritters and lots of sauces and seasonings and small bites. And there is unlimited bottled beverages like honey jasmine tea or oolong tea and fruits and coffee. How do they even make a profit? And there is even a place to rest and relax and drink tea if you come with friends. I can’t wait to come back here with more friends and family and let me experience what I enjoyed so much here. Thank you to the staff and to the boss! 😁😍”

„Sklep ukryty w lesie jest wierny swojej nazwie! Otoczony zielonymi drzewami, sprawia wrażenie parku. Gdy otworzyłem bramę, zobaczyłem przed sobą duży basen bez krawędzi. Można wygodnie jechać samochodem, wziąć taksówkę lub autobus. Nie jest daleko od starożytnego miasta, a wokół niego znajdują się takie atrakcje jak Świątynia Trzech Pagód i Ogród Rodziny Zhang. Dwaj przystojni mężczyźni w recepcji byli serdeczni i uprzejmi. Pokoje są czyste, pościel wygodna, wszystkie urządzenia elektryczne są kompletne, a inteligentna toaleta jest świetna! Hotel oferuje obfite śniadanie, a w pobliżu znajduje się ulica gastronomiczna. Następnym razem, gdy przyjedziesz do Dali, będzie to Twój pierwszy wybór!”
