Good points. All of the staff are extremely helpful. The cleaners are excellent. The pool view is lovely. The room is good, the bed is big and very comfortable. The hairdresser is absolutely amazing. Gym is very good - lots of variety of exercises. Bad points Food is not good: ordered vegetarian stir fry and specifically stated no chicken as allergic; it arrived with chicken underneath the vegetables! Husband ordered battered prawns which came unpeeled, then battered, so totally inedible. Wouldn’t let me put the drinks on the room (even though they did it a few days earlier), then refused to let me leave until the bill was paid. I had no money with me. So had to wait until they managed to contact my husband to come and pay. Spa - the facial was the most painful experience I’ve had in a spa. My face was literally pulled and scrubbed within an inch of its life. The actual face mask was scrubbed off. My face looked 10 years older rather than younger. Depends where your room is, depends if you hear the 5 o’clock Mosque calling. The gym was like a sauna - too hot to do any real cardio work - but that’s my personal preference.

A very good It was a decent place for a staycation. the room was neat and clean, and the facilities were good as well. There was a wide variety of options at the breakfast area, although one small downside for me was that many of the good dishes were cooked with beef (which I’m allergic to). Overall, the experience was amazing. The hotel basically has everything you need, and for a one-night stay, the price is very affordable. I paid around RM250 (about SGD 85) for a night. I would highly recommend this place to couples and families who are travelling on a budget.

This is a first time I’m staying here, perfect location as for family can walk to the one Batam mall and opp there’s a lotus supermarket.  Pool and gym just nearby, convenient for parents to workout while kids having good time in the pool. From the check in, to our check out the staff around the resort were all very helpful and smiley. They provided us with helpful advice and recommended activities to do in the resort! Rooms were nice and clean as well and spacious. We also visited the massage in the resort and it was a really good experience! Lots of things to do around the resort even for adults, we did archery and the instructors were very encouraging and skilled in guiding first timers!

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the positive side, the hotel is generally clean and the front desk staff are exceptionally polite and helpful. The room itself was tidy and the bathroom was in good condition. However, we stayed in Room 426 and had a very difficult time sleeping. The bed makes a lot of loud noise every time you turn over, which made it almost impossible to get a good night's rest. If you are looking for quality sleep, I would recommend requesting a different room. The worst part is I forgot to ask for changing another room😇😇😇

I loved Batam View so much! I'll be honest, I wanted to stay at Turi Resort, where I normally stay, but they were fully booked. So I tried Batam View, and I was flabbergasted. I had a room in the main building with sea view, and it was stunning. The rooms have been renovated and are clean, modern, comfortable. The hotel's beach and pool are both amazing, and I was so happy to find a really deep pool (rare in Asia), plus a very clean beach. I had an unforgettable dinner at the beach, too. The staff are universally lovely, attentive and professional! I saw the villas and definitely want to stay there next time! I spent a lovely 6 nights there and cannot wait to return!

Good location with many food options nearby. Walking distance to Nagoya Hill Mall. Breakfast is superb, delicious local tastes. The room is clean but lacks amenities, especially hand towels and hairdryers.

The room is good and well maintained. We book the Tirta Premier room. It is spacious and clean. If they can upgrade the room with Internet TV will be great. Sitting at the balcony in the evening and night is one of the best thing staying here. The sound of the sea waves and the cold sea breeze help us to relax and unwind. Overall resort need a bit of tender and care. Still good but to attract more people staying, they need to improve some of the facilities especially the outdoor activities. The food is something that need immediate attention. For a premium place, the food could be better. And lastly, a bit more activities for entertainment can do wonders.

IHG. Holiday Inn. It seems like this hotel at Batam has been neglected. Many of the amenities are lacking in maintenance. The pool, gym, kids club.....the list goes on. Staff are excellent. But why has the hotel not kept up with maintaining it well when it's such a popular hotel. Covid took havoc world wide. But many hotels have bounced back and are welcoming guests with renewed hope. Hotels needs to constantly upgrade so that guests want to keep coming back. Slippery walkways, itchy body after sleeping on the bed and toilets that lack are some of the features at Holiday Inn Batam. Time to see how you can improve your rating. Its a great hotel if you improve on the upkeep. Never too late to start. Looking forward to coming back in 2026 if there are improvements.
